A Frank Address And Statement on Recent Events and Revelations
Ellipsea replied to Shenna's topic in Official Information
Shenna knows what is going wrong, ya think she doesn't? You think this ball of shit is somehow having a positive effect? Does the network no longer existing strike you as a positive thing? If anyone that's whining had a fucking real interest in making it better, they wouldn't have made it a witch hunt and continually moaned in chat so that our online numbers are going down, they would have sent the info to Shen. Now tell me, are we better off now that we've "exposed" the possible wrong-doing? And again, you and I have no right to free speech on a private server, what would make you think that? We are allowed it by the good graces of the people that are working for free for us. We owe them the existence of sitting here chatting right now. -
A Frank Address And Statement on Recent Events and Revelations

Nothing is going to destroy this project so much as everyone's shitty attitude and desire for drama. Yes, Shenna's post isn't going to help; it was a cry and warning for y'all to fucking take it easy. You all seem more interested in the drama then playing the game. If you want internet drama go on some AOL chatrooms and act like a tard. If the sky is falling for you, go somewhere else already. Don't ya fucking get it? Some people are working so hard to destroy everything so they can feel some type of momentary righteousness. When other people are working so hard to give you some enjoyment for FREE. For free, working hours upon hours every day. Do we understand how messed up that is? If you imagine some type of perfect world server, go fucking make it already. Are you going to feel some type of joy when no one has anywhere to go? Your shit here ...and your shit in world chat is turning people off; it's a goddamn self fulfilling prophesy. You don't have your little rights to demand something that you think is better, you don't have any right to free speech. You have zero rights. Stay and play and shut the fuck up, or go somewhere else. -
You can't be helped my friend. I'm sorry but nothing will be restored. Oh, and I'm not a GM. In the TOS, staff outlines how the security of your account is yours to alone to ensure, and also that they will not restore anything.

In the past there has been difficulties in wold wide routing with OHV; the current provider for our servers. For which using a VPN was a solution. Not to mention all of he individual reasons for why someone might use one like which Talamat mentioned or if you happen to live in an asshole country. It's perfectly legit to use, but you could have some problems with authentication if you are using the recommended protection.

Ya Darrowshire having issues. Can only wait for a discord statement from staff.

Hm. only relevant statement i see on Discord is some issue with OVH, but that was awhile ago. lemme try to login.

When Nostalrius declared their decision to institute mandatory crowd funding, I immediately deduced some inherent problems with the idea. It was a sudden announcement and we didn't know why they did it at the time. Re: Financial Announcement by Diametra » Wed Mar 09, 2016 12:10 am Ok. I must say, i'm really perplexed by laying this on the table in this fashion. You are asking us to self-organize to support this game we love and go about it in whichever way we collectively feel most effective. You will provide for us the status of the servers so we know what their current financial situation is, i.e.: this server is going to be shut down in one month if bill of X Euro are not paid. Got it... There cannot be a loose confederacy of separate agreements and arrangements to meet the fixed cost of one enterprise. That just wouldn't be effective at all. Not only is it a lot of redundancy, it's guaranteed to lead to mishandling and mismanagement. One hand will not know what the other thirty hands are doing. Also, there cannot be funds contributed by many with nothing to apply them too. Dead money is a sure way to inspire mismanagement as well. ********** See, I was wrong. Because individuals ponied up the cash on their own..like right away. They cared JUST that much. It never got to the point where "loose confederacies" were handling money. At that time I was wrong. ******************************* I've also said, about some youtuber: Posted December 15, 2016 (edited) · Report post It may not seem that this weird dude having unusual access to our servers makes not a dif. But I'm guessing it will. Not fond of that. he can pontificate all he wants on streams in his over zealous joy. Really not happy with staff handing over info to this guy. Edited December 15, 2016 by Ellipsea ****** But again I was wrong because I miscalculated the resilience of our populace. I know such a small percentage of us actually visit the forums let alone the wastelands of reddit. So, we are happy in our ignorance... and rightly so. I would caution our staff (in the same light) to consider what seems appropriate now, may not in the near future, and conversely what seems trivial now, may be prophetic later. There are no great battles to be won, we just need solid servers...because that's all we ever really cared about. Didn't we? I tried sneaking an Asian pear in my son's lunchbox, because I love them so, and it's important to me to MAKE him love them. To me, an asian pear is an orgasmic mixture of honey, prickly-pears, and golden apples. So exotic and refreshing. To him, they're a starchy potato and offensive. He sticks his nose up. No. There's literally no propaganda crusade I can enact to make him love them, but oh...he will. He will.

I'm glad you get me. There is no created crowd-funding site that I'm aware of. And ya know, a large part of what I'm poetically saying here is that we best avoid it. Having individuals decide to go ahead and fund and entire chunk by themselves is the only safe way this works. As we've seen, any other way could potentially lead to trouble. -

Sorry bub, staff will not restore your items.

WTF. What a fucking mess. Don't know if ya did this, but make sure the new wow folder is not in program files and you are operating as administrator. I'm guessing you have a WTF folder in program files somewhere. Search for WTF folder.

Ha. You. Your contributions to this forum so far are walking up to someone in trouble and poking them in the eye and declaring it's their fault for standing there with their eyes open. Sorry you didn't like or understand my prose. I'm reading it again now and I still like it. I had no doubt it's a little heavy for most, and that's fine. : ) I'm sure you can find a google translate for common asshole speak, so that it is reduced into a couple bullet-points that you would find agreeable. -

Surely your hearthstone is gonna work. Wait. Where's your HS? well, get a warlock to summon you, or get someone to join you in a BG. Stop sticking your tongue on street signs. -
If it's mac, Check out this page. there's probably still some direct downloads on there so you don't need mess with torrents. I think these ones are also direct downloads.

"In Dreams" hasnt worked for me THREE TIMES NOW
Ellipsea replied to firedrop's topic in Help & Support
Well that sucks. On Darrowshire, I remember like a month ago I was over there and saw a gang of people standing around trying to get it to work with a GM, there with them talking. They couldn't do it. About a week later I went there in a five man to help a guildie. We helped the people in front of us complete it, no problem. We did it then, again no problem. Two days ago I did it with another guildie and we had some difficulites but got it done after three shots. So it seems to work now. What was up with all the people in front of you? Did they all complete it? -

With all the information you gave, this should be easy : P Riddle me this, is it a PowerPC? Are you getting any messages? Are video drivers updated? Right click on the launcher and open package contents and tell me what's inside there yo. -
HEY, hey. Bots don't drink Cuban Rum (Ron Puro Cubano). They probably drink that cheap rail shit. I don't think when toons are banned they will ever be deleted. Pretty sure. Use search to see if anyone else was afforded this luxury. forum.elysium-project.org/search

Ya know...in this post the guy says he cannot play games in win 8.1....gotta scroll down a bit. So I'm wondering, if you right click on the wow.exe and try a different compatibilty mode, if it would help.

See if this post helps any.

Deserves? Deserves? Anyone that donated money to him could take him to court if they desired. This is beyond a judgement call of anyones idle "opinion," It's a level of dbaggery that is beyond excusable. -
Is it normal to die to 2 mobs?
Ellipsea replied to Jithong's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
In the end, you'll find this makes the game SO much more enjoyable, as undertanker said. Especially when you get in dungeon groups and everyone uses their expertise and awareness to clear the dungeons. You will feel very accomplished and share with others a common sense of satisfaction and usefulness. -
right on. It's much better to be mistaken, then to have lost the gold. cheers.
