Yeah 5 mans in Vanilla are my fav. They're so interactive. I ran MC about 6 times on PvP realm, and honestly I hated it as healer. Staring at raidframes for a couple hours and pushing buttons. It. was. yucky. I ran ZG on another server about..I dunno 8 times or so, and that's something I can get my hands around. I liked it. For me, forty is just too many damn people. Maybe I'd like BWL better? dunno. I'm happy to raid or not to raid, doesn't much matter to me as long as I get to run the five man. You know, I'd also like to say that I don't follow any guides or cookie cutter for building out my toons. I make them to suit my style and that's one of the reasons I really like vanilla. The ability to use the tree as we see fit. Since I don't want a hardcore raid guild, it doesn't matter to me that I'm supposed to be a dwarf or use the tree just so.

Got it. Ty. Except, why would he have lost access to his characters if they are on the seperate, Valkyrie server? Perhaps, he is using the name synonomously for Elysium?

Clarification Yerco. The old Valykrie accounts weren't rolled into the Elysium server? They were mantained on a separate server? So, if he was specifically referring to old old accunts, what I had said would be incorrect. and the use of the name Valkyrie isn't synonomous with Elysium. Right?

Ya, I can't find the "up to a week" statement either, but I remember reading it. I guess the deal is, when they have a good snapshot of the server, can't think of any other reason to not be entirely sure how far back the rollback is. I don't understand how all of this stuff works myself. Did they automatically generate a snapshot on every dail reset? or weekly reset? Or was it something that needed to be manually done at any time? I have no idea. I would love it to be as close to the announcement as possible too. Probably everyone does.

They're opening up servers in this order to help distribute population. There will be a cap, pushing people into queues and that's for performance issues. They don't know what the cap will be for the fresh realm, but I'm gonna guess around 10-12k area.

Did you check permissions, like that blizz article suggests?

emmmm, you need to launch WoW from the wow.exe thingie and not the "wow launcher." From what I saw on the windows download, you may see two icons that appear to be wow launchers, if you right click for properties, you will see one is the launcher and one is the wow.exe. From what I can tell of windows downloads, the wow.exe is 4.8 MB, whereas the launcher is 1.2 MB. Does this help?

Test realm created accounts have nothing to do with existing accounts on either server. they're brand new and on a temporary Database. Email verification for different accounts on different servers would be fine if they went to the same email address. When we have our new DB, your toons will be there; you haven't seen the merged realms yet and won't until the 17th.

I don't get it. If you have the email account in good working order, and it was linked to the nost account, what are you saying? That yahoo somehow removed nost's database that your yahoo address was linked to the account? Or are you just saying that the original email sent from nost, stating success of the link, was deleted? Would it make any dfference if it was? oh...I think you're saying, "...that the email <account> linked to my nost account" was deleted. If you never used the account, they do delete accounts, but it takes a real long time. You can reclaim them by entering the correct credentials, at least you could. It's been years since I did that, but I did.

I was just checking out Nost forums. Looks like 2 threads in the suggestions forum about it long ago, and a couple of threads in general forum. But, I don't see any official response to any of them. Doesn't appear to have been addressed.

I thought that was there...through talking to an NPC. I kinda remember for ally, some stealthed NPC in the keep at SW that you speak to. am I remembering incorrectly?

My alt did log out at an Inn for sure. She's gonna be so damn rested...if she steps outside and farts with vigor, that'll be a whole level up right there.

On the PvE side or PvP side?

My first day is going to be spent re-learning, organizing my UI, and communicating. Communicating A LOT. One thing I've been thinking about is, if they roll it back to one week before the announcement to shut down...well, that means all my AV rep will be gone I think. So plans to dive back into AV the first week will probably be in order. I don't mind at all, AV is a laugh riot. I just hope that horde doesn't use the effective plan they figured out in AV those last couple of days. : P
