For some machines, it helps if your wow folder isn't in program files. On my computers I put WoW right on the desktop. Right click the WoW desktop icon and set properties to run as administrator. When you are altering the realm list make sure you change it as a "text document" and not some other kooky format.

You know, I guess you could also check the config file, and make sure that "set realmname" and/or "set realmlist" doesn't have some other incorrect server name. I don't think that would give ya the incorrect credentials thingie, could I guess.

Hm. If you sucessfully created a new account for the second stress test, not much else it can be other than improper credentials. I can't think of anything else. I suggest waiting until stress test 3, and creating a new account at that time.

I don't know if OP is expecting too much. The pop on Nost was great. It was. Just that with so many people, some turds will be unnoticed for awhile. Eventually they are taken care of and new turds emerge. Bottom line is, the population was so vast, it was easy to stay amongst people whose company we enjoyed and easy to ignore the rest. Civility was kept despite a few bad apples. And like I said, the actually hard feelings were developed by being out there in the world, and that's pretty cool.

Honestly, don't even need words to develop strong animosity. The really good, hardcore hate is developed by being out in the world on a massively populated server. Guys that idly toss around boo-boo words on chat are amateurs. Someone that constantly battles you every day for one goddamn plaguebloom node, earns a special kind of dislike : )

Yeah don't use the launcher. The stress test isn't up until tomorrow. that will be the only time there is a server to log into.

launch from the wow.exe. The reason you are being disconnected is because there is currently no server.

A fellow named Tommytom reported the same issue. Is that you? I'm convinced at this point that its a conflict between the newer operating system and old WoW. I think it might be possible that it would work sometimes and sometimes not. Do you have an older mac laying around? Something below 10.10 system? The only clue I found after scrounging around was this: IsoscelesMan (NA) - 10 months ago Sorry if I leave this comment twice. Though I hit post, but I don't see it here... So, I managed to fix this. Sort of. The problem is a permissions issue. I haven't figured out the root of it yet and how to fix it, though I have a few things I want to try, but the crux of it is that you can get the client to run without issue if you run it as root. Open your terminal and type: sudo /Applications/League\ of\ Legends.app/Contents/MacOS/RiotMacContainer it should run from that point forward without issue. Note that when you close League, it will not close cleanly (it never has), and you have to ctrl-c in the terminal to finish closing it.
