It might make a difference if you work from the wow.exe and not the launcher.exe. Worth a try. Saw this explanation on battlenet: I am able to run 2 instances of wow off the same install, on my quick launch bar i start wow for the first account, then i right click the icon and select wow and it opens a 2nd instance of the game, change the login name put in my password and boom 2 accounts up and running. I suppose ultimately having two separate application folders would help too.

Hm, that looks like the application itself. Could be a bad client. Will check old Nostalrius boards, but I don't recall this one coming up. I only see that kern errors are a communication error between software and the computer and they aren't always permanent, but.... I dunno unles there is some data hardcoded in the launcher you have. In otherwords it could eventually work, but I doubt it. Hold on to that one for now. What we really need is someone who has that full torrent we're all trying to download to get online and seed it.

Im not great with error logs, what's the top lines say? It's probably going to be video driver related. Whatever it is, it's yer own damn fault for having all new stuff there moneybags. : P

Tommy you're using all new everything. There are always some type of issues with Mac and old WoW software, sometimes mild problems, sometimes big. For now, using TextEdit or any other basic ascii word program (simpletext, teachtext, notepad) open up the realmlis.wtf file in your wow folder. replace it with this: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org Throw away WDB and WTF folders if you have them. If that takes you to sign on screen, yer good. You won't be able to sign on of course though.

Yup, I see everyone is stuck there. I've had my mac on it for over 25 hours now. No one is seeding it, there's just a kabillion people sitting here with their sausage in their hands. I was going to use my windows machine anyway for stress test today, but I see that must have gotten blown up. I'll start looking for another version. No big hurry now : )

Oh wait, I see what you are referring to in the reddit synopsis. I'm not sure why they would want to revisit tuning. Is there some technical reason this needs to be re-examined? It was perfect the way it was in every dungeon I can remember. If not exactly the way it was, it was relatively perfect with the ability to wipe at every corner with level appropriate gearing. You could wipe just getting in to deadmines on Nostalrius, due to all the mobs and if people didn't stay tight around tank; butt pulling. I'm trying to think of a dungeon that didn't require surgical, methodical team work. I'm not coming up with one. Unless, of course..you're way over-geared. I'm thinking of something hardcore like Strat UD. Geez, I can't tell you how many times we wiped in there. That one's a real tank tester. Pulls have to be so methodical with everyone on their toes. Even people I would deem over-geared die in there all the time from one simple mis-step.

The Nostalrius core is top notch. Everything is as close to accurate as you're going to get, with thousands and thousands of people reporting bugs and inaccuracies on a continual basis. You will have to strategize every encounter based upon the composition of your group. Just like it was. Skill is at a premium, just like it was. Knowing each other's strengths and weaknesses and how we work as a group in this environment, is an intimate thrill...just as it was. I'm actually really looking forward to slogging through BRD again : )

There was tons of prognostication about realm pop on Nostalrius even as we grew. There were fears all around, particularly when the PvE realm was announced. We really didn't know anything. In the end, everything worked out fine. Accept maybe the over-population on the PvP realm, which some people loved and some people hated. If the Nost gang can re-establish the TBC work that was being done, all concerns about relative pop will be academic. So let's just wait and see what plans are put in place months after all servers are open. Also, cross-realm BGs would be impossible to implement until the servers are old and grey. PvP was at around 1.9 I think. PvE was at 1.5-6, and the new realm would be fresh. They will always have this disparity in patches, thereby making any fair battles between them unlikely. Can you imagine the fresh realm going into battle against thousands of r10's and above. It would be daily annilihation. : )

My mac is still downloading the client. Got to 99.8% in like 30 minutes. I see we're all stuck in the last .2% for 24 hours straight now. On my windows machine the direct download, not torrent, was over and done in 25 minutes.

Hello! hello my friends. Nostalrius was well on the way to developing a TBC xpac. Do we have the same timeline now? Or did we drop TBC?

Okie dokie. I'm sure everyone will be here to enjoy killerduki. For people playing on Nost PvP server, we were quite far in the patches and TBC was a real thing that was going to happen and everyone was looking forward to it. I of course, understand how that would change now. I'll probably just play my toons on the PvE server which was somewhere in the early- middle patches. Makes me wonder how many people will log onto Nost PvP toons when they are available.

I used this AddOn on Nostalrius. It's simply the best raidframes interface for me. I've played many different wow expansions with every single interface, and this is the one that just works simply without being ultra complicated or, like all the others, some deal-breaking negative. I missed it and glad to be able to use it again.
