I agree. I don't watch his videos anymore, nor have for a while, but when I first saw a couple it was blatantly apparent that he is a thin skinned, insecure individual sorely lacking in a sense of humour. He actually needs to just walk away from his computer and realise there is more important things in life then getting upset over an emulated PC game from the early noughties.

There isn't any visible capture animation either which is annoying. Dunno if that is blizzlike for this patch, though.

I haven't experienced queues on Elysium in weeks nor have experienced lag at peaks as a result of pop (just DDOS). The pop doesn't need to be meddled with on Elysium at the moment.

Well said. And I agree about official legacy realms; Blizzard cannot be trusted to run them even if they were released.

Why support a cause that has totally self destructed? Nostalrius has already cut ties with Blizzard by releasing the code and character database to Elysium. Now it has burned its bridges with the legacy community by asking for it back. Nostalrius has no longer has any legitimacy to represent the legacy project.

I will probably give up completely with legacy servers should things change for the worse.

Hopefully the Elysium team (who have done a great job so far) ignore this and carry on.

The fresh server will be released when it is ready, and everyone who wants to play on it will have to patiently wait.

I feel nostalgic just watching that.

The probable reason is because the fresh server is not ready to be released on the 17th of December. I remember they said that there was work to be done on getting the fresh server prepared for the patch it is going to be released on. This work probably has not been completed yet and with the impending holidays, they will not have time to complete this until after Christmas. Just my speculation.

Even if you're right, it means that they've had to spend more time preparing the old Nostalrius database which would have put progress on the fresh server on hold. Add to that all the work they've done on the hardware after all the stress tests. Nostalrius was always going to be developed and released first because it is the iconic vanilla legacy server. I cannot see them bringing the release of the fresh server forward simply because of the holidays (and the fact that they've already stated that it is not coming till January at the minimum). Perhaps if the rerelease of Nost had come at any other month than December, they would have brought the fresh server in a lot sooner. We'll have two servers to play around on after they're released on Saturday. I plan to play on Nost PVE to ease the pain of waiting.

The abuse against the said streamer is actually the average WoW players method of expressing endearment.
