  1. This thread is like Americas Funniest Home Videos.
  2. The primal delight in destroying someone in pvp is more enjoyable to me when I am at least somewhat challenged by the act. We all can probably agree that brutally one-shotting some random nobody while you run past them roaming the world has a certain element of enjoyment that is the expected way that PvP servers work. Sometimes you get ganked, sometimes they do. We all know PvP happens, and some of the best fights you will have is out in the world when you think you're outclassed but pull out some crazy win. But I have never really thought it worth my time to go out of my way merely to gain a negative response from someone. Spending my time to do that proves nothing since it takes near zero effort, and it provides me no benefit after the fact. I already know I could antagonize the hell out of people if I put my mind to it, it's easy, but when I go out of my way just to make someone mad or waste their time, in the end I am only wasting my own time since I objectively have better things to do with my life than hit some low-hanging fruit griefing & trolling. I would much rather spend those minutes/hours doing countless other things out there to progress my character or help a friend or work on an alt.

    Patch notes = amazing

Yep some pretty great things. I especially like this one. Pets should stop attacking whenever their target is crowd controlled by a spell that breaks on damage.

Bad quality? All my screenshots look lovely. And who said anything about recording? I believe we're in a screenshot thread.

BBC Coverage - good or bad?

I'd say it was the Second Step. Cross-server PvP fell the first tree for the coffin. But it was not created out of whole cloth - we asked for it. But while we may now look back and shake our fists at Blizz - myself and other dedicated PvPers were asking for the ability to battle against better/more diverse opponents than the scrubs on the other side of our back-water realm or the well-geared but poorly-led teams who were our only trivial competition. We wanted true and difficult fights with worthy opponents, folks as geared and as dedicated as we were to winning. We were tired of people just AFKing out when they saw our team or the other teams just leaving the game the first time we scored on them. We had been loving PvP, it was our main focus - but by the end there was no challenge whatsoever. To some extent, we got more difficult matches with the cross-server PvP, but it began the bleak rise of anonymity in the game. Flying was certainly one thing, but if you want to think about the very very beginning of the end, some would point even further back than myself and claim that instanced PvP was the beginning of the end, or when Shaman/Paladin were allowed on the other side or sharing a single capital city.
  8. I did this all the time back in retail, both with both guildies and respected enemies from the opposing faction. Just had to time it right.
  9. +1 It is remarkably easy to form a group - people usually want to join groups they don't want to form them. You also get to choose who joins so you almost never are rolling against someone for an item. Actually, one thing I look forward to while I level is running dungeons a few times each so I can meet people. By the time I'm 60 I have people msging me as soon as I come online to see if I want to join a group or help make one. Whispering people in /who lists has resulted in countless great group runs, and forms relationships with people you will be seeing much more of in the coming months/years.
  10. Speculation is all you can expect at this point.

Is Duel wield warrior pvp viable?

    I like what you got.
  12. Agreed. People love filling up bars. Being able to give small chunks and give us a visual would go right up our alley.
  13. I gave em ten bucks for now. The team has more than earned what amounts to not even a full monthly game subscription from me. Once things are up and running I will contribute more. For now it's more by way of paying for appreciating them for keeping the project alive than anything else. And since I hadn't donated to Nost previous, and felt it a decent thing to contribute now that the project is nearly back up and running.
  14. Aye same. Even if it was something simple like a few dollars for a sticker I could slap on a water bottle, it would be a good incentive to inspire a trickle of people donating to purchase mugs or shirts or stickers or a mouse pad etc. But for now I'm glad to pitch in a few dollars to show good will to the project, and more in the future once things are running.

    help with transfer guys ;(

Try logging out of the Elysium side, disable adblock/ublock addons, then try it again in Ingognito in Chrome or Opera. I've also heard people had success on their phones.

5 days until server goes live!

Now the true countdown begins. Characters all transferred over... *waiting intensifies*
  17. I had the same problem at first. Using Opera, Incognito Mode worked. I also disabled all adblock/ublock/etc just in case.
