It's been too long to remember actual stories, but there are particular moments that stick out in my mind. Like the first time I made a character and the Darkmoon Faire was open. I went there with my friend and people were just hanging out and talking as if it was a real carnival. Or the first time I went to STV and instantly died on the road below the rebel camp to a group of horde and then saw a couple of alliance fight them. That would forever set the tone of the zone for me. A wild wild west vietnam like place. Of course ganking Hillsbrad fields as a rogue was a major highlight for me. Doing Deadmines for the first time was very special.

I don't get why PvE players just whine on the forums. You have the first actual private server PvE realm that has any sort of community to it. Stay in your bubble and leave us alone.

Yeah I got ganked. And then I ganked a ton of people right back and it FELT SO GOOD. It created memories I won't soon forget. Everyone knows that the max daily population on the PvE server was around 2000. You had maybe 5000 on launch day? Big woop. The main server was getting 13k on most days.

Dude a good deal of us got by on Nostalrius when there were TONS of players in STV and Shimmering flats in the weeks following Nost's release. Play on your dead PvE server and stop bitching.

100% truth before nostalrius a private server that was PvE was unheard of Now we have retail babbies coming out of the woodwork who cry about getting ganked Just make a mage or rogue and you'll be fine. Those two classes can get out of or avoid confrontations.

Dealing with PvP while leveling, while frustrating, is a break from all of the quest and mob grinding. I won't forget how I was playing a week or two after Nostalrius' first launch and I got ganked repeatedly at STV by edgy undead rogues. Me, and several others, formed a raid and camped nessingwary for over an hour with 30+ people. I also won't forget how I saw a level 38 hunter pet single-handedly got a level 60 mage to 13% health before the hunter was killed. If you don't want to PVP then I suggest you go play retail where you can get to level cap in a day's time and just sit in the city while waiting for a dungeon queue. Or maybe you should play a single player game since multiplayer is too challenging for u

We all know nost pvp is going to be dead after elysium launches. Give the server 7x xp rates in order to entice players to play there.

I don't need r14. Highest I'll ever go is 12 which I already did on nost. Whoever designed the ranking system at blizzard is grand marshal of autists.
