This is all speculative, but if you look at the actions of the past you can obviously see future outcomes in regards to this. When Nostalrius shut down they told everyone that they would release the character data as well as their core for everyone to use. Of course this never happened because it was not exactly in their best interests to do so. In light of this I don't think there's a chance in hell that Elysium would ever release their code to the public domain.

This is not the answer. Private server organizations build on top of the already default mangos code or they attempt to create their own cores from scratch. Elysium giving away their core would be the equivalent of Intel just giving away their most important intellectual property (patents and such) to the public. They would lose their competitive advantage and there would be no more reason to buy from Intel because AMD would be making the exact same thing. In this case anyone could just open their own private server and elysium would have no advantage over any other server. What would be better would be for smaller projects to voluntarily merge with Elysium and the LGN was kind of a step in that direction, except it was two high profile projects cooperating for the greater good.

The notion that if you do not follow Alex's argument that you are a sheep is ridiculous. I'm not a fanboy thus I will not blindly believe everything that he says. Everything has not been proven. Most of his arguments rely on conjecture alone rather than fact. It is idiotic to jump to conclusions willy nilly. I personally believe he has a motive. A person who is well known within the private server community wouldn't just burn all bridges just for the sake of it. He has much to lose from this and already he has lost a lot.

If your point is that on high pop servers you don't remember things because you're rushing then it is a bad point. I played on Nostalrius and I remember a lot of things.

Something's not right. Why would he scam people out of $1000 dollars and destroy all of his credibility? Surely if he continued what he was doing he could make more than $1k in the long run. There has to be a different reason. One could believe that Blizzard is paying him to disrupt the private server community in order for people to come back to legion, but that is grasping at straws.

EHP is not hard to achieve as soul link, but until Naxx you won't do any damage as SL. Also spell pen makes fel hunter's MD useless.
