Good day fellow warriors. I seek guidance, so basicaly I been tanking MC in Zeth'kur as MT. Sometimes I noticed that, when I taunt a Mob/Boss it doesnt hold, like it doesnt stay on me for the taunt duration and often goes back to the previous Tank. A good example is Golemagg, so we use 2 tanks for Golemagg. As soon as I have around 15 stacks OT taunts it off me and I stop Autohitting he starts his rotation but the Boss just sticks on me like glue, at that point we use mocking blow and retaunt, then it usally works. Another example would be the Garr adds, when I taunt them and start sundering and walking them to the kill position they sometimes go back to the previous tank. So OT mostly has to stand a few secs beside me so the add doesnt run off to him. Is that a Bug or is it the way it is? what is causing it in the first place? Thank you for any Insight.

Yeah its weird Ill see if I can get footage of it, I know about the threat after the taunt, but most times its only like 2-3 secs and the mob is already gone. You should have more time as I remember, it should force the mob on you for a few secs more than 2-3 not sure how much exactly. Can it be that taunt get pushed of the debuffslot and it losses its effect or is that unrealistic?

It doesnt, it has a chance to dispell with every tick. I feel like you never tried the ability and are now deducing how the ability works. If you ever fought a mage you will be happy to have this ability. We are talking about pvp btw, I never claimed the ability has any use in pve. You probally wont agree, but I really dont care at this point just wanted to share my opinion on the subject.

Well I disagree with not getting mend it is a very important ability actualy. It helps alot if ppl cc your pet and death range the hunter. just be sure to use rank 1 mend pet so you dont go oom.

You also shouldn't spec Two-handed Weapon Specialization if you're not planning in using a 2-Hander. I think Ironfoe would still be the better choice here though.

Most times they attack the caster regardless of what I mark, but its true much easier to let the dps get a mob while you have time to build up on the others

Maybe it had something to do with the range I was standing to the Boss? Our Guildleader Trialunerror (hunter) took the Helmed is there anyway some GM can help me ?

So as I'm getting closer to level 60 on my paladin in Zeth'kur, I started to think what I would need to be the best Tankadin in dungeons. Now I want to point out that I do not plan tanking in any raids just 60 dungeons. With that being said I wonder if its even worth getting Defense. As I understand it whenever you get critted you gain redoubt and reckoning, so by having lower defense I would get more redoubt and reckoning procs making me block and execute more attacks. More attacks and blocks translates into more threat and more mitigation. So should I hence focus my gear more on Str for getting higher Blockvalue vs Physical, and Stam/resistens vs Magic? And should I also get Spell/Int/MP5 mixed in?

Assuming you mean tanking dungeons you can do certain things to easy up your tanking. It is important to know which grp your tanking and where. Now going forward, you should still be able to tank a 4 elite grp without the emphasis on aoeing, for example BRD I can easy tank 4 dwarfs with just tap sundering a bit. In stratholme where you have the big groups the easiest way which I also recommend is to stack up Holy water. You just pull with your gun/bow LoS then when they are all stacked up you drop a holy water in there spam a few demos and start sundering the elites. I have also found that using Argent Defender + Crest of Retribution is a really strong combo. I discovert the other day that the Argent Defender's proc remains even if you switch shield not sure if its a bug or as intendet? maybe somebody knows? but in any case that also help alot, the more mobs the more powerful the Argent Defender becomes, also having 50% + blockchance gives you massive rage generation

It also always depens what mobs your fighting some are much stronger than others regadless of lvl. Ever fought a scorpion in tanaris ;)

well he did mention he is arms specc'ed btw not fury. That being said I would go with the epic sword because of the huge dps difference anyway. Enddmg only changes a little bit (163 Damage on the Sul'thraze the Lasher vs 191 Damage on the Executioner's Cleaver)

Well with my warrior I did spec from fury to arms near the 30s taking axe spec.You can get cyclone axe - followed by Bonebiter - followed by the gator axe from maraudon - and finishing with the one from emperor in BRD. By the time I was near lvl 50s I had 23 % crit chance. You can mostly pull 2 mobs and cleave them down with sweeping strikes + ww. For me having Stance mastery is a game changer and I hated every second in fury for not having it. In wpvp arms warrior all the way man, not much to argue there.
