So I have been going back and forth on what to play, I think I have settled on a Warlock. Originally I was going to go Rogue but decided the melee life isn't for me, then considered the mage due to the OP nature of their skills in PvP. I am not pretty set on the lock due to all the utility they have. Anyways to the crux of my new dilemma. UD or Orc Orc It seems that the Orc stun resist will give much more benefit as a lock since Warriors and Rogues (Stunners) are the bane of locks. The Orc has the +5% Pet dmg which is pretty meh. The other racial they have does nothing for casters. They don't really fit the lock fantasy for me but the stun resist seems to be so handy. UD I love the way they look, casting, the whole things feels very warlocky. WoTF is certainly handy but it seems like it will be somewhat diminished playing a horde lock with limited chances to be feared from the Alliance. Due to low Lock numbers on that side (apparently) Warriors and Priests can fear but it seems like less of a risk from them. Cannibalize is also sweet as a lock with Life Tap. Underwater Breathing is always welcomed. I'm really torn on this decision, I know it's personal and I should just go with what I feel but I'm wondering if I choose UD for the aesthetics if I'll regret it at 60 when I'm getting stun-locked to death, or if that stun resist is overblown. If anyone has personal experience with a 60 UD lock and if they really felt the discrepancy vs an Orc let me know. Or if anyone has any insight into this age-old predicament.

I’m here offering an olive branch to the community. I think my trolling has gone too far. I’ve been here fighting for the fresh crowd and trying to combat some of the hate toward the new blood. In doing so I’ve started to troll and try and antagonize the Nost crowd. That is not why I came to this community, I came here to enjoy the community and to dig into the Vanilla game. To the Nost Vets: Please try and refrain from flaming the newbies, try and give them answers and if you feel the desire to flame them and direct them to “retail” just don’t post, smile and think about Naxx/AV/Whatever Vanilla memory you enjoy most. Something the freshies won’t say is that we all probably wish we would have been a part of Nost, it seemed to have a magic to it that we all yearn for. But remember, these private communities are not always the easiest to find. We didn't find it then but we are here now and we are excited for the same reasons you were when you first started on Nost. We all enjoy Vanilla wow, or we wouldn’t be here. So accept us and let’s make this community great. To the Freshies: Try and respect the spirit and vision of what these servers are, they are meant as a time capsule of a better time in the MMO world. Quality of Life is not a term that plays here, you earn what you get and you get what you earn. Especially your community reputation. Try and respect that and I think it will serve you well, if this isn’t for you then move on. There are plenty of other private server options out there, explore them and I’m sure you can find one that fits your play style and desire. I am hyped for the Fresh server but with no date I will likely roll on the Nost PvP or PvE to kill some time before Fresh, and possibly end up staying there if I get into a solid guild. I hope to fight side by side with you all in Azeroth, or against you if you decide to play Alliance.

1. Two servers coming up on the 17th. Nost PvP and Nost PvE. These are servers there were live for a while with a community and guilds, raid teams etc. The fresh server that is coming doesn't have a date yet. We should find out the date on the 25th. 2. The community is massive, you can't go wrong on any of the three servers that are being released. 3. Alliance vs. Horde

Deaths in EQ were memorable. WoW death penalty is non-existent, one aspect that the genre lost with EQ that I wish would return.

This is the sort of thing that inspires donations.

The journey to 60 should be enjoyed. The journey to BiS should be enjoyed. The journey to rank 14 should be enjoyed. If not you're doing this wrong.
