You really have no clue how bad you make yourself look here. You are equating someone showing interest in an updated model to people wanting to play retail. That leap cannot be explained. Stop and think about the type of person who is even browsing this forum, let alone registered and making posts. They are 100% interested in the Vanilla experience. Why would they be here if they weren't? Granted some are probably trolls but that number is so low it shouldn't be considered. So your stance on any suggestions that strays from how Nost was is met with "pitchforks" and funneling these "retailers" to "Legion" It's literally the same on every thread that is remotely similar to this one. I'm not talking about people suggesting offering some perks for donating, maybe some rewards for doing the stress test etc. I'm talking about people suggesting reasonable things, like "hey I'm wondering if I can use the updated models, it's not a deal breaker for me but I don't see how what I see impacts what you see" That is met with anger and pitchforks to drive any dissenting opinion out of the conversation. I'm not even worried about models, I probably wouldn't use them if I could even. Because it doesn't matter all that much to me, Vanilla models are fine. But the point is that it doesn't matter, and you and your kind have zero tact and come at these people way too aggressively. Also for you to say insular is a good thing really reveals your intelligence. Insular 1. ignorant of or uninterested in cultures, ideas, or peoples outside one's own experience. Improved graphics have zero impact on gameplay, it is merely a preference. That statement has never been addressed with any logical response. Pointing people to play Legion is a supremely lazy way to respond. There isn't a logical response to deter people from suggesting it. I do not buy that the developers don't have a way to differentiate from an accepted mod vs a malicious one. Now if you were to say, right now our focus is on getting the servers up and running in a acceptable manor. That is a proper response. But to just berate people and push them out of the community is a recipe for an insular community.

That vitriol toward people who are interested in character model mods is really over the top. If what this guy is saying that they can Whitelist certain mods in the game files then I don't see the issue. But I also respect the devs take on no changes. Tough spot for anyone on either side of the argument.

When people throw these stats out I always wonder if these are assuming zero competition. Isn't a fresh start server going to slow down the normal leveling times significantly?

After playing on some other servers in anticipation for these realms opening I'm finding that grinding mobs isn't all that bad and is pretty good exp.

Such is life, but playing on Old Nost creates a gap that is immensely wider at the start. Playing on a fresh server provides everyone an even footing at the start. Fresh server will quickly become more popular than the Old Nost server, if you can't see that you are probably entrenched in the Old Nost and feel some sort of angst toward the new blood that is in this community and will keep it alive. Old Nost players should really embrace the New Nost server.

To isolate certain aspects of their process would be my guess. The first stress test went very well from what I heard with nearly 8k players on? How many did Nost have at peak times?

It's really not worth speculating about this, it was a stress test. That's it.
