  1. That's all I needed to hear from you.
  2. Let's talk about reality. I like that. I wonder if things will feel real to you the next time you see a Thunderfury. Will you wonder if it's real?
  3. I don't think I made my point very well, Krom. What I'm trying to say is that the reality of the situation has yet to sink in. If you still disagree, then we disagree, and we'll let the population numbers be the judge.
  4. No argument here towards the idea that it will be difficult, to state things mildly.
  5. Vitaly isn't paying for this shit at this point. Not monetarily, anyway. The community is. And we'll have to agree to disagree about players being OK with people buying unbans and god knows what else from the staff. History is in my side, not yours. This kind of thing has killed many servers. You're going to see population plummet when this information filters to the plebs. It will reach every ear in a few weeks. It's hardly started to move outside of the circles you and I move in, but word of these problems will spread.
  6. Considering he's the guy at the center of this controversy, and considering his proven history of RMT activity, it's a step that needs to be taken. He can do his job without being able to create gold, or unban people. If he doesn't have the guts to surrender what he doesn't need, if Shenna can't convince him, nothing can move forward. Every step taken to improve things will be done under the shadow of possible corruption from the highest level.
  7. Great. That's like 1 out of 20 changes to access policy that need to make to meet the standard they need to survive at this point.

    Can someone explain?

There has been, for months, a campaign of misinformation ongoing with a clear goal of de-legitimizing Elysium, smearing the character of their staff, and to generally make this server look unplayable when it really is quite playable. What happened recently is alarming because some kind of altercation or disagreement, or, if we're lucky, misunderstanding between the Elysium staff members Shenna and Suzerain has led to them making conflicting statements regarding Vitaly, another Elysium staff member accused of selling gold and services under the table. Shenna says everything is lies, all the claims and supposed evidence are part of the misinformation campaign, and Vitaliy is innocent. https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/38777-you-want-transparency-here-it-is/ Suzerain, on the other hand, claimed that an investigation conducted by Asura and Whitekidney on behalf of the Crestfall staff, as part of the new broken Legacy Gaming Network partnership, revealed that logs related to Vitaly's activities had been deleted, making it impossible for them to determine guilt or innocence. The Crestfall team has assumed guilt and severed ties with Elysium. https://www.reddit.com/r/ElysiumProject/comments/5vdmlu/regarding_vitaliy_pastebin_and_the_lgn/ However, that post by Suzerain was mysteriously deleted without explanation. I saved a screenshot. I know screenshots are untrustworthy. Just read the thing and look at the reddit thread, which is plainly full of responses to what you'll read here: It is crucial that you ignore anything you read that wasn't directly sourced from a staff member. You can find enough evidence to conclude something may be wrong simply by reading what Elysium itself is saying.
  9. Seen here:https://elysium-project.org/bugtracker/search?title=calculations&labels[]=11 Mysteriously, I cannot link it directly, or participate in the conversation. I get an access denied page with or without being logged in on my control panel. I encourage people who are curious about auto-attack being unreliable on moving targets to click the box the entry is in, but not the text, to see the original post. I'd include my personal experience with the range on auto-attack, but nobody really cares about that. This issue also effects some spells, but it isn't nearly as noticeable in those cases.
  10. Bump again. I'm surprised, given the extreme effective difference between max auto melee range on Elysium and old vanilla (and retail, obviously), that more players don't care about this. The current situation is anything but blizzlike.

You're welcome to join us, Adenmin, since you don't seem concerned about the schedule. I've never had a sleep cycle, myself! As long as you can currently understand and speak basic english language related to the game, I'd be glad to invite you. Sent you a PM with our Discord info.

    Paid character transfers

Elysium doesn't want your money, and nobody wants retail features like that.
  14. Feb 16th UPDATE: Entries will now usually include complete video footage of our PVP raids. In this log I will chronicle the adventures of Hurricane, our victories, losses, and general adventures related to PVP raids, which we enjoy so much. Today I took Hurricane through our usual sweep of Stranglethorn Vale, and then off to Kalimdor to sack Splintertree Post. Splintertree is a grimy little place frequented by undead and filled with walking beef deposits. Not much resistance was expected, besides hapless levelers and a few 50+ who responded and then immediately un-responded, which was OK to me. My guys aren't ready to tangle with the big boys just yet, and as they say, practice makes perfect. After murdering guards and and a scattered handful of horde, we got a little bored. I myself had a good nap in Splintertree's inn, after clearing the refuse out. I'm already well known for naps in unlikely places. But the real reason for such an unimportant raid is: DISCIPLINE! Dishonorable Kills are a real hassle. I want my guys sacking any town, anywhere, without the risk of DK's. You never know when the real threat from world PVP might arise. Sometimes it rides out and attacks you. What? An aggressive civilian? The only solution is to sheep and run. On the whole I was satisfied. Restraint was shown, and the boys and girls are getting pretty good about assisting, forming lines to catch stray horde, and clustering and unclustering as the situation arises. Wouldn't want a repeat of that one time a level 60 mage blew up a bunch of our level 20's. Wish I had a screenshot of that! A few more levels and we'll be ready to occupy towns with heavier traffic, slaughter flight masters, and tangle with counter-raids.
  15. #OccupyGromgol Hurricane camps out in the Grom for over an hour. We didn't leave until the ground was carpeted white with bone. Sadly, no meaningful counterraid materialized, but rest assured, we will be posting raw footage of us getting wiped in Orgrimmar pretty soon. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/122602774

By raid, I trust you mean PVP as well as PVE? I don't give spots to people who don't PVP with us because the loot will be wasted raid logging. 40 blind, legless corgis can farm MC at this point, so the real accomplishment is all in what you do with your loot. Murdering Thrall during Horde prime time, for example. I PM'd you a link to our Discord! Feel free to disregard if that doesn't sound like your cup of tea, but it probably does, since you've read all my jabber so far. AND HEY GUESS WHAT. Raw, unedited footage copied from our pvp raid streams. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/122602774 Skip to 0:23:40. #OccupyGromgol These will be posted in https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/35574-hurricanes-town-sacking-diary/ on a regular basis.

    Griefing Devilsaurs

Hey, Elysium-PVP Mafia guys, can I get a better deal by jerking you off in this thread, figuratively speaking? I'll show up and regularly remind everyone that there's no rules against cross-faction teamwork here, or sheeping mobs to grief others. See, I picked up an Ironfoe and that kind of locks me into Fury. These leather prices are breaking my balls, man.
  18. I like how Stance first tries to cover his tracks by saying to the group that he's gonna' give it to his bro, and then maybe he's going to keep it, goes on to say that he hates the OP's guild, as if that's decent justification, and then privately admits he'd take a Shadowfang from a rogue. Pretty sleazy guy. Added to the list as a need abuser.
  19. DK's are a hassle the server could really do without. That said, they aren't nearly as bad as their reputation suggests. You can get a couple a day without significantly impacting your ranking unless you're pushing marshal/warlord, and if you're doing that, you're in battlegrounds 24/7 anyhow. The deal with these things is that each consecutive DK in a single day increases the penalty. You can have dozens and not lose anything of note, assuming they happen on different days. The system was designed to tolerate accidental DKs.
  20. Do you have screenshots of these that aren't quite so violently cropped? There's clearly missing text. Probably not important, but I feel compelled to ask.
  21. Disgusting. Shit like this is why I started the list.
