Top macro to do dps like every other bad rogue and even cap yourself on it because a macro doesnt magically improve itself. Even if you take all the factors into account manually that are listed by shino, you would still suck.

Download weaponquickswap and check the readme on how to do the macros. Then just put the weapons youd like to have to ambush in a macro with your ambush and the same for the other abilities.

It really is nost 2.0. there were surely about 50 suggestions to cap respecc costs at 5g and lower costs for mounts and countless other things in the beginning. You will most likely be MM throughout all of the pve content. Survival might take over for personal dps after reaching a certain amount of agility, but at that point hunters are below on dps compared to other classes and its mostly about providing trueshot aura in MM spec to have greater raid dps instead of simply taking a survivalist hunter. Some guilds even take no hunter in naxx and just bring in one or two alts on bosses where they are needed. Though most guilds dont do that amount of planning and just take 2-3 hunters, sometimes even survival specced because they only see the personal dps angle. As for the racials... troll is the pve master race because of the haste bonus, the additional weapon skill doesnt really make a difference since there are no ranged glancing blows. It adds a tiny benefit to your hit/crit. For pvp either orc or tauren, thats debatable and situational.

As much as I can understand the argument behind this request, the spreading of knowledge isnt something that can be undone by custom changes. Back then people didnt organise themselves in world channels, nos they do. Back then raiders did the first 30 wipes trying to figure out the boss abilities and timers, now they download bigwigs and read a guide. Back then people keyboardturned, now they still keyboardturn. There is as much use of discussing this than there would be of discussing if it would make sense to shut down the car industry and go back to horses. The game is the same, but the players simply arent. This affects the game in way too many aspects.

Please tell me more about that updated elysium timeline you havent released yet . Because the old mounts were still in game when AV launched on the old server, they were kept for a couple patches too much. Am I correct in my assumption that the new server will follow a different timeline then? To my knowledge this hasnt been confirmed yet but stated as a possibility. Will the new server possibly progress faster than nostalrius? Come on Master pottu, give us some baits!

Its worth noting at this point that hunters fall off the dps charts as content progresses. You start out as pretty much top dps in average mc progression guilds due to lack of caster itemisation and melee having a hard time with all the aoe damage, but that changes after a few weeks. In AQ/naxx warriors reach their peak and hunters rather play a support role, some guilds even have only hunter alts waiting outside for the one boss where he is needed while they play on their main character for the other bosses. As a fury you will have good times in pve, they are needed in large numbers in raid setups, you will need to offtank however, depending on the situation.

Kind of ironic that you rightfully start an attempt to stop the spreading of too much missinformation and then you base it on some silly inaccurate stat comparison (from starter rogue guide on how to not be absolutely terrible, not more, likely less) that doesnt inacalculate a single extern factor that could influence your gear choice.
