  1. Yes. It builds pockets of mini-hype. The game always felt just a little more fun right after maintainance breaks.

All want to play Nost PVP.

I have toons on Nost PvP and PvE, I don't like picking up advanced toons after not playing them for a while. I lose the bond and the flow that you get from focusing on one from start to finish. Also Vanilla is about the journey, not the destination. (At least for some, and that includes me). There is no right or wrong way to play this game, that's one of the most beautiful things about it.

I have a ban warning from Blizzard somewhere, I"ll have to dig it out. It was hiliarous because they would quote your verbal offense and the email had a background like parchment paper or a scroll and so it was something about "raping a sock drawer" looking all fantastical on a magical scroll. I was going to frame it one day.
  4. Which gamer food do you prefer? I'm more of a pizza roller.

Any Horde RP guilds? If not any interest in forming one?

I haven't fully decided which faction I'll be going with, but if I end up on the Horde side I would be happy to be part of a rp guild.
  6. I would go with the faction/race/class that you have played the least in your years of playing wow. Go for as fresh of an experience as you can get.
  7. I don't believe the OPs intentions were to troll. Whether you agree with his perspective or not he did try to explain, in detail, why he feels the way he does. I think things just sorta spun out of control and discussions turn into arguments and the heart of the discussion is lost, so at that point it looks like people trolling each other, when really we just have two frustrated points of view.
  8. I can see both sides of the argument. I actually thought the OPs initial statement made a lot of sense. But looking at the big picture, the new server will only be a short time away from the old servers, I think with a little patience everybody will get what they want in the end. If nothing else the release of the old servers first will give them a chance to work out some bugs before the fresh server comes out. Hang in there folks, it'll all be ok.
  9. Actually the fresh server people have a longer road ahead of them than the returning Nost players. So I wouldn't exactly say that they are the group that's rushing to the finish line.
  10. I'm sorry if this was already addressed here, but I was curious as to how much of Nost, other than our old characters, are being implemented into Elyisum that wouldn't have been if the merger didn't happen? I don't know anything about coding or mangos and all the other stuff, but is the merger strictly to transfer old characters? Or are there technical changes made as far as scripting, pathing and overall game play that they are taking from Nost as well?
  11. There are definitely pros and cons for each type of server. (and I'm sure every person's perspective on what is pro and con varies) I find PvP servers feel much more alive and exciting. The world feels much larger and much, much more dangerous. You spend most of your adventures with your head on a swivel for incoming ganks (and those are just from enemies that aren't stealthed). At the same time, sometimes you just want to be able to relax after a long day and do some quests without having to corpse run over and over again. I think PvE is better for the "World" aspect of WOW and PvP is better for the "Warcraft" aspect of WOW. It's nice to have options.
  12. I understand the atmosphere we are dealing with and I don't expect anything I say or do to have any real significance on anything at all but I do plan on taking a more positive approach on this server in-game, and if the positivity spreads to even one more player I'll consider it a win.
  13. People need to chill about people not being chill, you can't put out a fire with more fire.

    Legacy Returns: Official Release Date

From what I've seen and from the people I've talked to, I think most people are aiming to make the fresh server their main server. The server cap is going to have its work cut out for it. I think a pvp and a fresh pve server would probably accomodate the demand a little better.
  15. Yeah this is going about as frustratiing for me as the last one. I played maybe 5-10 mins, now its a yo-yo game of connecting and disconnecting. I can't stay conneceted long enough to get out of the entrance of Org. I see streamers aren't having a problem playing though, I don't understand.
  16. I just want to be clear, we can use the same login info that we did on the 2nd stress test? Or do I need a new one for this?
  17. This sounds awesome. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that my connection is more cooperative this test.

MyRolePlay - The Supreme Roleplay Profile Addon!

I used this on Nost and loved it. I will be using it here as well.
  19. In the years I've been playing (retail vanilla through wotlk / multiple private servers) I can count on one hand how many times I've seen people really exploit special characters. I can see how it can be an annoyance if but it's never stopped me from whispering or adding a person to a group, sending mail. I've never reported anyone, but as Pottu said, there are ways to do so if you need to. I think it should be allowed, in an open world game, the more options the better. I do want the true vanilla experience, and I can't remember if it was allowed by Blizzard back in the day, but I'd be happy with going with whatever they went with back then.
  20. I'm not playing anything at all right now. I guess I'm just trying to take care of real life stuff before the servers hit and my life becomes Azeroth I did try League, Dota 2, Overwatch and Paladins for a little bit. They all feel boring and shallow to me. Dota 2 held my interest the longest, but meh. I think I'm growing out of gaming as sad as it may be.

    I'm gonna be that guy

I think some people just like to know what the future holds. The op clearly likes TBC, so if there were no plans here for them to take it to TBC this obviously would not be a server he would want to invest time in. TBC was my favorite era of WOW as well, Vanilla being my second, that being said knowing TBC is (even possibly) somewhere down the line gives me more incentive to play here. Nothing wrong at all thnking and talking about the future. We just have to keep our patience in check.

RP journal from my toon on Nost

Thanks. And I think that's an awesome idea. I think that would definitely help to unify the RP world into a bigger/focused picture - even if people are working on their own storylines it would open a window to connect them with others, or like you said at least give people an idea of whats going on rp-wise on the server. I'm down.
