I assume that these people are jealous that another person gets to be popular just by recording himself talk.

1) Type /who and strike up random conversations with warriors of same level. Casually joke about how lonely you feel in the game. 2) Keep the warrior thinking it's their own decision to help you. 3) Spam heals and jokes. Never cast any damaging spells, you want to appear useful and fun but absolutely helpless. Make them feel responsible for you. 4) Shower with compliments every tank you come across, even if they're really bad. It's easier to unfriend them later than level alone. 5) When everyone inevitably blames you for everything from 5 hp left pull to the lego piece they stepped on 11 years ago, apologize.

There's probably going to be a thread on the forum with a list of ninjalooters to put on ignore. You'll have your 5 minutes of fame.

That is technically true. The thing is, with good people you could have fun in ANY game, including some ridiculously bad ones. In fact, some people have fun shoving things up their butt as long as they do it with friends. At least imaginary ones. But I digress. Basically your argument is exactly why I said it's a facebook type of game. I'm not sure why you disagreed.

The game doesn't reward investment anymore. It does not reward social play anymore. The game itself became quicker and more random. The average player didn't suddenly became a different person, they are just playing a different game that rewards a different kind of behavior. Nobody's going to put in that extra effort just to go against game design and shoot themselves in the foot in terms of gameplay and progression.

You know what? Let's, for the argument's sake, assume that it will indeed be fun later on. How many hours will it take me to get there? 10? 20? 40? Can you give me a reason why I should put in the hours and the effort and the patience required to get to the fun point if I could just go play a different game, one that is fun from start to finish?

Are you even serious? I have no intention of sinking dozens of hours into a game that might or might not be fun some time later on. I tried it, it tasted like crap, I assumed it really is crap and moved on to games that aren't crap. You really don't have to be forced to eat a turd before you're allowed to claim that it's not chocolate.

Well that other new wow server I'm considering sure does have way nicer people on the forums. Saying that every community has assholes is a little bit insincere. Some communities are easy for an asshole to latch and feed on, and some are not. Who's the youtuber in question, by the way?

It is a private server and it is overcrowded. I expect it will be playable but you should brace yourself for an occasional lag spike.
