I believe a number of people are waiting a firm realm maintenance time. The GM Team has said it will be forthcoming as soon as possible. I'm sure most guilds will update their information according.

By no means too late. People rolled new characters on the server even on the day the server closed. There is always plenty to do, and plenty of people leveling. I made alt characters and always had people to dungeon and quest with. Most guilds ran alt runs on off-nights and this is a perfect way to get geared and get your foot in the door for a great guild. Worst case, just roll a character and play while you wait on the fresh realm. If you play a couple weeks and find its too far for you, wait for the Fresh Realm. Either way, what have you got to lose. Worst case is you have an idea of how to level your character when the Fresh Realm drops. Best of luck.

Isn't there a "TGAtoJPG" tool in the screenshot folder? There is in mine and it should be standard. My installation is the installer from the Nostalrius website.

Only the release has been announced. The staff has said more information will be released later this week. I'm sure that will include how to create your account here and merge your Nostalrius account.

High quality tanks capable of performing BWL mechanics were not rare but they did become a commodity from time to time. Once a guild found their tank(s) they would stick with them. Moreover if you like to raid and tank instances as well, you'll rarely be without things to do. Groups were always found bottlenecks looking for a tank. It seemed a majority of Warriors on Nostalrius were DPS. Quality healers, specifically Paladins, were also in demand in most guilds. As far as DPS, Warlocks were sought out regularly both for community raids and guild progression. Choose a class around this and study it well. Anyone worth their salts would have no problem finding a home in a mid-tier guild or higher.

Regardless of when the rollout is planned the demand is such that there will be an overwhelming amount of players ready to log in. Even if there was only 1 hour advance warning, and it was at non-peak time. There will undoubtedly be thousands of people vying for a their spot. That being said, it seems the Dev team has the bottleneck issue under control. Here's to a smooth launch.
