Zk transfers is probably the solution atm. But unless the population drops to zk levels, there are no need to do anything. And Darrowshire has been the most stable server of all 4 when it come to population loss, probably has a lot to do with our community being a lot better, so people want to stay here. But i dunno what you call hard to get groups, if its 10minutes, 30 or 1 hour. I see a lot of groups wherever i wanna go. Maraudon and sunken temple may be hard to get group for, but that is simply because the time spendt doing the dungeon is not worth it if you dont got a good group. And most of the time you are better off just grinding that lvl instead of running the dungeon. Same with RFD and RFK. If you are alliance there is no point doing them.
-
1-2k is not too low, there is plenty of people leveling characters in pretty much every lvl range. though on some hours of the day it will be a bit harder, but if you start groups in regular hours you can get people for whatever you want without much waiting. Having lvl'd 3 chars to 60 on Darrowshire, i've done every leveling dungeon without spending hours to wait for a group. (alliance though, cannot speak for horde) And with this population, it make the game time spendt a lot more pleasant, not having to compete with other people all the time out in the world.
-
At what times do you play? i know NA times can be a bit rough, but i've never had any issues getting mara groups
-
That may be because they have a population that 2-3 times what an actual server in vanilla had. This server got a blizzlike population, and there is still tons of groups going on. Yes, it will take a bit longer to form a group, but there are a lot of stuff going on, Having leveled 3 chars to 60 here i've had no issue getting a group for every leveling dungeon. and on max lvl there is a lot of groups forming in world chat as well, even though most people run groups mostly in guild groups, that is kind of the point of vanilla, join a guild, get friends, do stuff with them. If you have no intention of socializing, you're not going to have a good time on any of the servers anyway.
-
Dunno what you are talking about. Tons of groups for stuff going around (alliance at least, cannot speak for horde)

PvE server means that you choose when you want to do PvP. PvP server means you can attack and be attacked by anyone, pretty much everywhere. Thats the only difference

He's talking about Elysium the realm. Not the Elysium project. A retarded post anyway though.

Using Blizzlike policy for World Bosses to prevent abusing and cheating.

There is one major difference between retail and a private server. And that is the number of accounts that people can have. On pvp servers you couldnt have opposing faction characters on your account, so same faction greifing werent a thing after these rules came into place. But on private servers, you can have as many accounts as you wish, meaning players of the same faction can create lvl 1 chars of the opposing faction and send in to kazzak. A thing that make it hard to see the difference of same faction griefing, and opposing faction trying to compete -
Proposal to alter Druids' itemization a bit.

It doesnt matter what they did in TBC. this is vanilla, and it is what it is. if you didnt take that into account when you rolled a class thats on you, not the game -
There is still 1-2 years of content still coming, depending on what realm you are on. So there is no rush for now anyway

If you have read these forums, you would understand that these suggestions no longer serve as motivation, but nagging. This question gets asked a minimum once per week, GMs coming in to say "were not planning on doing this" All we can do is hope that they have secretly worked in the shadows, and one day come fourth to suprise us with good news.
-
No they dont. Yes the population will drop when naxx is done and farmed to death, but it will live on. Many people hope for a tbc server in the future (as do i) but i am here for the vanilla experience and that is what elysium provide. If i decide i wanna play tbc, i will create an account on a tbc private server.
-
Because, developing these servers take a lot of time. This is not blizzard with 100+ devs working fulltime jobs creating it. Most private servers spend 5+ years just developing a single expansion

You got 3 out of 9 world bosses the last month, while having "more hardcore guilds" Good job dominating

And blame the neighboor when he facepalmed at him and told him to keep his keys inside the house -
Nelythia talks about Alliance having such a easy time in BWL, then he uses realmplayer rankings that favors horde by crazy amounts, due to it focusing on PvP where Horde has instant queues while alliance got queue times between 10-30 minutes. Darrowshire is a PvE server, where the majority of the players focus on PvE, not caring at all about the PvP(especially alliance due to the Queue), with the exception of AV to get offhands. Alliance got the 3 first BWL clears and speed clears that is much faster than the horde clears, (Where is the DPS of horde players you were talking about?) What matters is that Nelythia is giving people a false impression of the server by making ridiculus claims that cannot be proven until AQ actualy open the gates. And lying to people is not the way to go when you want to get more people to join the server.
-
It doesnt, but claiming one faction "dominate the server" when their best guild is ranked 4th, is simply lying to people
-
"We are the best, even though we haven't done anything to prove it" How is that not lying to people? Yes, everyone know Alliance has it easier in BWL than Horde, but you guys claiming that you are better just because of that is simply just being sore losers. Alliance has a easier time in BWL = Horde is the best Horde has it easier in AQ = Horde is best? Do you hear yourself? Then i am gonna come with this silly claim that Alliance is best, because i predict Alliance will get all important server firsts in Naxx I'm all for the faction rivalries, but now you are just making silly claims that you cannot possibly know is true yet. Wait for AQ, then we can talk, atm Alliance has the 3 best guilds on the server.
-
Funny thing you guys are claiming that "horde dominate" when the best horde guild were the 4th guild to clear BWL Horde on Darrowhire is not in a bad place, though need more players, but lying to people is not the way to go in getting more players to join

Horde is the ones screaming loudest of all when something happens to their world boss attempts, yet they are the ones who try to abuse every single time. When Elysium proposed a change in rules so that you had to be PvP enabled to do anything when the opposite faction had a tag, horde cried out loud against any kind of change that could give alliance a chance to interfere with their attempts. But who is it that continously interfere with world bosses? Yes, it is horde, every single time alliance gets a tag, there is horde running in to our raids attempting to flag some unfortunate rogue with blade fury on, or a warrior clicking whirlwind. This can of course be avoided by simply not using such abilities, but it shouldnt have to be like that, since the rules on a PvE server forbids this kind of behaviour. The rules on world bosses is so vague and horde tries to find loopholes, not only with the purpose of interfering the alliance attempts, but in order to get our raid members banned for simply being present at the time of a world boss spawn, to scare us away from contesting. On kazzak, some of the horde was flagged for pvp, and one of the alliance rogues attempted to kill the one flagged, he failed at it, and died so he healed kazzak, and now the GM's say it is against the rules to attack flagged people on kazzak if you don't manage to kill your target. but if you kill him it is allowed. what kind of rules is this? GM's are making up rules on the go making it impossible to know what is and what's not allowed anymore. Alliance being terrified of attempting this in fear of being banned for silly and unblizzlike rulemaking. There is only 2 ways of stopping this 1: Make world bosses a free for all do what you want as long as you are PvP flagged (which was the proposed rules which got stomped on by horde) 2: Make it so that any kind of interfering on world bosses sanctionable, even if the entire alliance raid is pvp flagged it is against the rules to attack them if they got the tag on a world boss. (which i think is actually what the rules we got now is supposed to say, but GM's being unconsistent about how to enforce it)

Realmplayers as source for what the best PvE guild is... Actually, the 2 top horde guilds are a perfect example of how Realmplayers works. Chocolate milk cleared BWL server 4th, Limited Edition 6th. But Limited Edition is still listed as the best guild on the server, simply cause they got more Honorable kills than Chocolate Milk The 3 first guilds to clear BWL, is listed as Hope #7 Lothars #11 and Dominion #12 on realmplayers, due to not having a azuregos kill yet. Even if hope managed to get a Azu kill, they would be listed as #5 simply due to less honorable kills than the other guilds.

What happened to online players?

Whats you point? faulty addon and a ton of people who don't wanna do dungeons? -
1x rates give people a better attachement to their characters when they reach 60. So they are more cautious when it come to doing things that could possibly harm their chars. And since reputation acually matter in vanilla, people will be nicer to eachother as to not having their reputation ruined. Higher rates will reduce the "value" a character got for the player, thus increasing the amount of bots and hacks being used because they can just lvl another char pretty fast. And the people who dont want to lvl on 1x rates will not enjoy the max lvl grind either, making them quit anyway. Thus, 1x rates attract players that wants to play this game for for a longer period of time. Making server population more stable instead of inflated numbers of players that leave after a few weeks
-
Nice example you got there. Using the only server that havent been dropping in population as example really show you got no clue. Good job
-
The best populated vanilla servers is the ones with 1x rates, now why is that do you think?
