Dynamic Respawn for Herbs, Ore and fish?
Haestingas replied to Tickles's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I can't speak towards fish, but herbs and ore are all on dynamic spawns -
The big thing will be making your tanks go deep as вау on consumes and world buffs.

Until aq40 gear there's really no catch all setup . That being said I'd think 6pc wrath, gauntlets of might, wristguards of true flight, satyrs bow, accuria, don Julio's, rune of the guard captain/dft would be fairly strong for a lot of content.
 -
The rage fix will change 40man raiding big time. Over 50% less rage generated for tanks means so much less threat. Now the tanks will be wearing more threat gear, taking more damage, and still generating less threat than before.

Wow, huge changes especially the rage gain. RIP heroic strike spamming tanks

Will the Fresh Start Server have access to the original Epic mounts?
Haestingas replied to Animosity's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
What people did was have a VERY trusted guildy/friend of the relevant race (troll being the example for raptors) buy the BoE mount. After the cloth turn in quest became available they would get exalted and then have the friend/guildy trade over the mount. The troll alt thing may work but I have no personal experience with that method. In my guild we just had long time buddies hold onto them. -

Will the Fresh Start Server have access to the original Epic mounts?
Haestingas replied to Animosity's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Ven is correct, there was 1 week where the old mounts were boe for 1000g. Sadly there was no warning this was going to happen so very few people were able to scrape together 1k gold for the boe mounts. -

				Will Multi-boxing be allowed?
Haestingas replied to 1pinki1's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Keep in mind husband/wife that even if they suspect that you are multiboxing, they will not ban until they test you both to make sure that it's 2 separate people. In the past what they did was teleport you both to gm island and have you both run in different patterns at the same time. Very simple if you are two different people, almost impossible if it's one person. -
When do you guys pop world buffs? While I'd be able to consistently make your raid start time I wouldn't be able to be there much earlier than that and don't want to miss out on the zg/ony crack.

[Horde - NA] Reign recruiting for AQ40 8/9
Haestingas replied to ReignNA's topic in Guild Recruitment
When do you guys generally do the main world buffs such as ZG/Ony? While I would be able to consistently make your raid start time and do DM buffs the night before, I want to make sure I'd be able to make world buffs since they make such a huge difference in performance. -

				Elysium| Financial Report: Hardware Costs
Haestingas replied to Limitless's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
If the server is playable 2 weeks after launch I'd highly encourage people to donate 10+$ a month to support the server once we know the service will meet our needs as players. -
If you are determined to get black lotus, you can do so if you are willing to level an herbalist and educate yourself on good routes. Due to the increased spawn points that nost implemented, + the increased spawn rate anyone has a very reasonable chance to get lotus if you are determined, especially if you work with guildies or friends to get timers in one zone and coordinate your routes I knew a couple people that would group up with up to 3 people in a zone, where they would split the lotus they were able to obtain among the 3, and many times would be able to get all 4 lotus an hour. It's also very strong because those 3 people would coordinate to kill all opposite faction herbers to limit competition

You don't "need" a flask for anything besides twin emps on tanks if you lost world buffs. That being said Flask of Supreme power is way too strong for try hard casters to ignore, and is the main drive behind black lotus prices since meter chasers will be popping those even in MC. On nost the way lotus worked was 1 would spawn every ~15 minutes in the 4 zones which created a pretty decent supply. The problem is very little of these lotus would hit the AH, the vast majority were either stockpiled by the picker for Naxx/AQ progression, or sold within their guild.

Dwarfs are just straight up better. You have the top 2 racials, and you have to realize fear ward has a really long duration so you buff fear ward well before the fearing encounter so you can cast it again. It's also strong in pvp.

What is the best race/class duo for duo-ing dungeons?
Haestingas replied to Ruthven's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
As a mage you could solo all 6ish hyena packs at once in DM:N, then solo the boss. Was pretty good gold per hour and a welcome change from farming lashers. -

Basic Holy Priest guide - "What the light will tell you."
Haestingas replied to Shayss's topic in Priest
Priests can level very very fast if you upgrade your wand as much as possible and equip all slots with spirit items when you can. I managed to hit 60 with 6.5 days played and I ran every instance 1x for nostalgia. The lack of downtime is incredible. As to prebis items, if you are on the fresh realm the items are incredibly limited at the start. Cass grace Tooth of gnarr Ramstein shoulders Brd quest cape Bop pattern true faith Ghost weave gloves or hands of power Ghost weave belt Sky shroud leggings Omnicast boots Live strat quest ring Brd quest ring Brd trinket 2nd wind Briarwood Reed Hammer of grace Spirit of aquementas Scholo wand That's full prebis, which puts you at a whopping 250ish healing. Skyshroud, briarwood weed, and hands of power are insanely hard to obtain since they are bis for 3-5 classes. Keep in mind theres no + healing enchants until the MC pattern drops for some guild. -
Nothing cheered me up more than riding the boat and MCing people off at the last second. You are also very strong in pvp while leveling, the only matchup you straight up lose is to smart hunters once they have viper sting assuming you are close in level.

The only thing that isn't very close to or identical to retail vanilla is the talents. The rest is incredible close and accurate

You can't find info on 5.6% being the yellow hitcap because IT'S NOT THE HITCAP. The yellow hitcap according to Storfan who actually knows warriors is 8.6%, the yellow hitcap according to both the stickied rogue guides on nost is 8.6%, and the yellow hitcap according to the stickied hunter guide is 8.6%. Stop posting bad information, especially when it's on THE NUMBER ONE THREAT STAT FOR WARRIORS. Sucks that new warriors come on here and see 600 posts from a warrior and see huge walls of text and assumes that means you are a trusted source and take it as the gospel. You have contributed a lot of theorycrafting, some of it very useful and maybe im being overly harsh, but honestly a lot of people use you as a source of knowledge so when you are wrong it hurts a lot of players and guilds. The thing is due to rage generation being off the charts bugged, a lot of dps didn't run into threat issues because the tank was always able to spam HS and abused Finkles/Alcors with that to put out very good threat even if they geared to full mitigation. If/when the rage generation gets fixed, threat is going to plummet while the dps threat stays the same and tanks will need to completely rethink how they gear and clean up their rotations to put out more threat or they will have a lot of pissed off threat gated dps that are 1 crit away from pulling threat and potentially wiping the raid. Generally speaking you still want to stack some mitigation so you don't get wrecked by the bosses especially when you are first beginning to gear up. Once you start obtaining a lot of good tank gear that's when you start mixing in more hit gear. The easiest hit gear to use that wont hurt your tanking much is Wristguards of Trueflight, Gauntlets of might are amazing, Satyrs bow, and Band of Accuria. Later on you will want the Zulian Tiger Cloak from ZG once that is available.

[Discussion]Best race/faction/spec for Warrior (Non Tanking)
Haestingas replied to Shaylin's topic in Warrior
Assuming they fix rage generation human is by far the best since you will output the most threat. Weapon skill is even better for tanks since you turn that bonus extra dmg into even more threat with def stance + defiance. -
You saying they should be changing rage generation doesn't mean they will, and I even qualified my statement (because IF rage gen stays the same). But no please be more snarky and advocate your bad mitigation first theorycrafting that helped you tank for the 2nd worst NA ally guild on your previous server, and the ~45th best on Nost before it died.

Make sure you obtain the zg class trinket, makes a lot of trash far more enjoyable since your greater heals are as fast as those damn paladins so you don't get sniped as much. Honestly priest healing is the most engaging in vanilla, you generally spam R3-4 heal when tank healing and keep renew up if you are the only priest on that target. If you are raid healing you are pretty much forced to either trinket + heal or flash heal so you don't get sniped. If your group is taking a lot of dmg (best examples are growing flames from hatchers in suppression, vael) then using holy nova is insanely powerful once you have a lot of +heal. You have shield for your oh фекал button to try to save people that are super low, inner focus max rank greater heal for a huge bomb that hopefully crits and procs inspiration for more armor on tank. I've played Shaman, Priest, and Paladin in vanilla and priest was by far the most fun for PvE healing. If only the buffing wasn't pure cancer....

Hit is not only important from a TPS standpoint, but its also incredibly important on boss pulls. Missing a shield slam on the pull can be a disaster if a lot of damage is already going out and a healer throws out a heal and gets agro. Hit is a no brainer once you have the minimum mitigation needed to survive. You also overvalue weapon skill a ton, because if the nost rage generation is the same then you are spamming heroic strike which takes glancing off the table, which makes +weapon skill effectively useless.
 -
On nost the Engineering shield scales with spellpower, which makes it incredibly strong if you use it correctly. Honestly you just get the shield + zg hero charm and that combo lets you keep agro very effectively on aoe threat.
