The recent update posted by Shenna included a section about how if you feel like you have any issues with a policy that you feel could be improved, that you should share it in the appropriate forum section, so I'm doing so now. I will preface my suggestion by saying that I've enjoyed my time on this server so far, even through all of the drama, and I appreciate the work people are doing to keep it going. I'm looking forward to seeing where the open source approach takes the server. Now onto my suggestion. While I understand the concept of a player pretending to be scammed in order to get free items, I feel like the policy on GMs never replacing scammed items should be re-examined. In cases where the player has screenshots showing that they had the items on their character, and with the ability to check logs to see what happened to the items, I believe that for a true Blizzlike experience, a GM should look into the issue and be as helpful as they can be. If it's a problem of not having enough GMs to handle all the cases of such things, I can understand the hesitation to change the policy, but I feel like helping some people out is still better than just making the policy to help nobody out. Assuredly, the player should be able to come forth with good evidence that they had the items and provide some form of reasonably solid proof. But I feel like in a case where there's 90% proof of something with some small amount of question as to whether it happened exactly as stated or not, I feel like the policy should be to investigate the issue, check out the logs to see if the items went where the player said they went, and if that is indeed the case, if there's a fraction of doubt still left, the player should just get the benefit of the doubt that they are most likely being honest and not trying to scam the GM's out of items to gain an advantage over others. It does not feel good as a player who was actually the victim of a scam to then feel like the GMs or developers think you're trying to scam them when all you want is some help, and some justice against the scammer. I have tried to create this post in the least inflammatory way possible, as I'm trying to provide constructive criticism, and honestly enjoy my time on Elysium, and appreciate the effort that is put into the server. Thanks for reading, and thanks for your consideration!

Introduction Hello! My name is Viv. My goal for Elysium is fury warrior. I unfortunately cannot continue to raid with my current guild, because they had to change the raid times after a majority vote and it no longer fits my schedule. So now I'm here searching for a new home. Schedule Speaking of my schedule, I can't raid on Sunday, but any other day I can raid starting at around 6:30pm to as late as 8:00pm EST and going for no more than 3 or so hours. The earlier in that time frame, the better. I'd prefer to be in a semi-hardcore raiding schedule where the guild aims to only raid one or two days of the week and get it done fast and efficiently, giving us plenty of leftover time to PvP, run dungeons for others, farm, or do something outside of WoW. Basically, I want a guild with a "no life" attitude on a "yes life" schedule :P What I Am Seeking I'm looking for a "family" style guild where everyone is treated with respect and is helpful to one another and values the person as much as the performance where the members all have a willingness to assist others even when there's nothing to be gained individually, realizing that helping a guild mate helps them to succeed in the end. I don't want a guild with a lot of confrontation and drama. I want to log on to a predictably fun and friendly social place. I understand that there can sometimes be disagreements and such, but I want a guild adept at concluding them swiftly and peacefully. And last but certainly not least, I'm looking for a guild with an actual need for a fury warrior, not a guild that wants to convert me into a main tank. I'm willing to help tank on certain fights, but I don't want to be a main tank. I also wouldn't mind a guild that runs premade groups. What I Can Provide A positive attitude and a desire to always improve. While I'm my own worst critic, I'm willing to accept criticism as well. I try to come prepared with knowledge and consumables. As far as knowledge goes, I've raided MC and Onyxia first hand on Nostalrius, and fought the first boss of BWL on Nost PTR. Most of my retail PvE experience was in later expansions, because in retail vanilla, I was a PvP fiend, getting to Field Marshal on my mage and spamming WSG 24/7 for fun. As far as consumables go, I'm an alchemist with a decent amount of the essential recipes now including greater fire protection potion. I've somewhat begun stockpiling consumables in my bank (which I'll be doing more of later). But so far my focus has been on spamming dungeons for my pre-bis. I have both dps and tanking sets that I'm actively working on. On Elysium, I've raided Molten Core and Onyxia. I'll do whatever is needed for each fight. I'm attuned to everything, and I'm on the part of the Hydraxian quests where you collect hands from bosses. I'm not in a rush to find any old guild. I want the right fit. If you think your guild is it, I'm very happy to chat! If there's anything else you want to know, feel free to ask me here or in game!

Santa has been good to us.

We need more of you in our lives. Yes, you. Well, maybe you. If it is your greatest desire to touch beards with another guild member,we may not be for you. It's kind of a super serial rule. Otherwise, we are still inviting more for make out sessions, and occasional raiding.

Come represent 'murica with me and keep these heathens from overtaking us with their ham disguised as bacon and their milk in a bag!

Sorry, I'm at work and didn't realize it posted like that. I fixed it just now though.

Man, I remember so many of those people. Arcan, Nissassa, Smackette, Clownboat, Ishaxa...Big time PvP names back in the day...except I only remember Clownboat ganking people nonstop in menethil, lol. Fought many great battles versus Aeternus, though. Truly one of the few top notch guilds in mal'ganis PvP that you always knew was gonna be a great bg when you saw them. I hope the guilds I was in garnered the same respect (judgement, silent requiem, etc). Wait, you were badnewsbear? I actually remember that warrior too. Came along later on. Good times lol. Do you still keep in touch with any of those guys? I lost touch with all my friends from vanilla. I especially miss Zach aka Krayon aka Inhaber. Hung out with him more than anyone else.

Josiah was the mage that beat me to rank 13 Only one on the server. But yeah, I remember a lot of those names too. You still talk to any of these people, horde or alliance?
-
Oh snap! Mal'ganis represent. I remember many of the names in your screenshots. I was on the alliance side and very regularly fought them in BGs. I was Revlon, gnome mage.
