^ Yes it absolutely is. Alex is very lucky he did not do anything bannable in game. It says a lot that the Admins were seriously considering banning Alex for his self-righteous moves. Let this be a lesson to everyone reading this, never donate to someone who SAYS they'll donate something for you. Do it yourself.

Alex is an absolute idiot for doing what he did. He didn't donate that money to the server, moreso his fans and stream viewers did. Imagine I'm an Alexensual donator right now and I had intended my donations to go directly to Elysium's servers while also watching a stream, Alex took it upon himself to say "hey everyone that donated to Elysium, I'm now choosing to refund your donation no matter what your opinion is on the matter." You could make the argument that they should've just directly donated to Elysium (they should have) but Alex took it upon himself to refund HUNDREDS of donations to server upkeep without input for himself. Oh and on the offchance (Read: very good chance) many of the people that donated to Alex don't understand how charge-backs work on PayPal, Alex gets to keep ALL of the money people didn't ask for. It was not your place to refund those donations, and now you reap what is likely the monetary benefit of all of the people who can't figure out or are too lazy to get it back from you. Absolutely fuck off Alex.

There is no ideal hit rating combination, only ideal gear set ups based on the amount of raw DPS output the spreadsheet gives you. Obviously all warriors will want to use: Lionheart Helm (2%), Onslaught (1%), Strikers Mark (1%), and DFT (2%) ... But there are so many different combinations of potential gear depending on if you went r10, r12, r13, or r14 or if you have access to Boot of the Shadowflame (2%) which in terms of raw damage output with world buffs is much better than Chromatic boots. And the vast majority of warriors are using Cloak of Draconic might (0% hit from BWL trash). Run some numbers for your own personal character before you just use a cookie cutter number of hit from the forums. Hit is an incredibly valuable stat with world buffs but not at the expensive of massive amounts of strength or crit if your gear is too low quality.

Not to mention the fact that it literally wasn't possible to interact with 95% of people playing from China. Blank lines everywhere. What they brought to the server was a lot of farming, BG queue'ing, and world filler for competing on quest mobs (or killing them if you found the opposite faction). Just don't forget the fact that the 4000 people that are no longer playing on the server were never interacting with you in the first place.

I typically run about 9% hit because the actual yellow hit cap is something like 8.16% and you'll occasionally get the dreaded miss even running with 8% hit. I also don't have a DFT or r12 pants yet so my hit is certainly lower than an absolute full BiS warrior but once I ge those pieces I'll be sitting around 12% hit, maybe 11% if I go back to Chromatic Boots from Shadow Flame. 9% without DFT / r12 is ideal - I typically pull 800-1000+ DPS with full world buffs.

@Wersia is correct. The massive drop in population is completely due to the fact that China made up 30-50% of the server at any given time. The VPN ban from their country made them unable to play on any of the servers that are active.
