I don't think requesting people use the most commonly spoken language on the planet is really asking too much since it's the best way for everyone to communicate with each other. Like trying to run a group in retail with people from Ragnaros who don't speak English. Makes things rather difficult if you can't communicate. It isn't racist or a superiority complex by any means. Just wanting to be able to communicate efficiently.

That just means that Obama gets credit for the Gearscore fad portion of Wrath, and the death of WG when they opened faction transfers.

Really enjoying looking through these, keep'em coming! I didn't play in Vanilla as I started around BC release, but even those old screenshots were lost when my PC was hit by lightning.

I honestly don't care if they make Legacy servers at this point. We waited long enough for an answer. BUT... With coverage from BBC, PC Gamer, and other sources now, it's going to be harder for them to ignore. Previously it was just customers. You know, those things they don't give a second thought most of the time? But now, there is attention on them that could end up affecting their bottom line. Do you guys think they'll be flushed out of their hole soon and forced to make a statement? And if so, what do you think it will be? Will they cave and do full on legacy? Will they continue with the terrible pristine server idea? Say they changed their minds and want to focus on "making the current game great?" If they're unable to do anything to Elysium, I feel they've already lost a huge portion of the potential legacy player base, but sort of curious to see if they make any announcements now.

At least it won't be as bad as the fresh since a lot of people will be jumping on their higher level toons. Still going to be a TON of newbies, but not 100% of the server like the fresh one. I'm making one on the fresh server JUST to see how busy it is. lol

Someone also posted a google doc that shows the location of confirmed guilds, but I can't for the life of me remember which thread. Late night browsing... That may help you narrow down a specific one based on selection of NA guilds.

This, and then once it's settled leveling. A lot. I'm glad they're releasing on a Saturday so I'll have a chance to veg out on it for a while immediately.

And as much as I would like to see them choke on their words, I'd love more to see something positive for once, and I hate that I have agree with you. There's a huge difference between not having code and debugging code that's 99.9% effective. That's like the difference in not being able to drive because you don't have a car and not being able to drive because you have a flat.

Most areas of the game don't cover the massive majority. Hardcore Mythic raiders aren't a massive majority by any means. Nor are highly competitive PvPers, or people who spend more time pet battling than anything else. Like I said, I don't care at this point if Blizzard makes them or not, but the main point is that the work is done for them. For years their excuse was "well we just don't have the code. It was all lost" blah blah blah. Nost people are like "Oh look what we have." So that excuse is out the window. I'll admit it, part of the reason I want a statement from them is to possibly hear them admit they were wrong. I know, I know. Long shot, but there's a chance. So often the players are blamed, or they make excuses. Just hoping some day the company's balls drop and they take some responsibility.

Adding my echo to the thread. I haven't been as anxious and excited for a WoW launch in recent memory. I appreciate the effort these guys and gals are putting in for no compensation other than the satisfaction. Y'all da real MVPs.

I'm rolling PvE because I spent the first half of my time in retail on PvP. I was only able to drag my overgrown balls around because my spine had grown with it. Also this partly. People don't want to think about their game dying on them. The funny thing is, a lot of those who are salty would probably actually enjoy Vanilla. Another portion of the population hates private servers because they simply hate anyone enjoying something they aren't. If they dislike a song on the radio, anyone who likes it is an idiot and "doesn't know what music is." We all know that guy. Yeah you, Dan. >:|

Hey Tholren, I'm quoting you. I was going to say about the same thing about D&D. That's why people liked that game. You sit down with a group of friends, and you have an adventure. Sometimes you may not finish it, but you know it'll be there waiting next time. That's why MMORPGs were so awesome to begin with. Whether you played Everquest, or started in Vanilla WoW or even later, it took that fantasy that was previously in your head and allowed you to play it out in real time with something you could physically control and watch.

Just curious how many people there are that share my stance on PvP so I might find like minded people to play with in a couple weeks (HYPE!) I love PvP, but I don't like leveling on a PvP server. Sure, you get a nice 1v1 out in the world from time to time, but a lot of PvP experiences in the world are just getting ganked or camped. I spent the first 5 years I played the game on a PvP server. That being said, I would like to join the Nost PvE realm when it goes up, but are there many PvPers there? People who like to level in peace, but still enjoy BGs? Just hope I'm not making a mistake rolling there. Good decision, or no?

If they do ever shut it down, they could just relaunch it again. And again. And again. We're a lot more stubborn than Blizzard is. I'd rather play for a year at a time with a couple month break than play retail right now. Tell them to stop putting out shitty expansions and maybe people will want to play their game.

Faith, this one cracked me up a bit because it looks a lot like a current lowbie group, but all that gear would be heirlooms.
