It is smarter to do IP bans and IP range bans of gold sellers/hackers instead of banning the victims' accounts. Your core audience is not going to donate to fund for the servers if you delete their hacked level 60 characters. Check to see who actually logged into these accounts and ban those IPs. You can wipe their inventory clean if there has to be a compromise and you cannot revert their accounts to an earlier state.

All this spam to switch to Elysium PvP is coming from 4chan, specifically their /vg/ board.

Do you guys make sure to back up the account database locally (not in France)? Activision Blizzard has been deleting all the WoW client mirrors recently and they're going to try to go after your servers in the EU sooner or later. It would be a good idea to make local backups in case one day you may decide to host the server in Russia or any other country the US corporation can't get send its lawyers to.

I wouldn't worry about it in the long run. Most of the 4chan crowd will leave for the fresh Elysium server and the few ones left on Nostalrius will get banned more easily as they stand out.

I wouldn't worry about it. Keep using it. If they ban you, then you know this server isn't worth your time due to incompetent anti-cheat devs.

Eventually the two servers Nostalrius PvP and Elysium PvP will become practically identical, after the latter catches up in raid content. This seems a bit redundant. Have you thought about differentiating Elysium by having it transition to TBC, the last good WoW expansion, once it's done all vanilla content? There are no good TBC servers, they all allow multiboxing, have cash shops, and have a populations of a few hundred people at most.
