Well, I guess we just have to wait and see how the Elysium code stands up. If it sucks, people will leave. It's that simple. The quality of the code is what matters, not who is providing it. The fact they have Nost's code right there means they can learn from it, use what they have learned to improve their own code. I'll wait and see how it turns out.

All characters that have been used since launch will stay, including the Nostalrius transfers. If someone didn't claim their character already by using the token, it will be wiped.

Maybe they were not prepared for the backlash towards Nostalrius after this announcement. It hasn't gone down well at all and Elysium could seriously put themselves in a great position here by refusing the request and standing up for the former Nostalrius players, even if it is only 10% of them (yeah right...as if 10%).

Just say a big fat NO to Nostalrius. We are Elysium players now, we don't need Nostalrius. I am grateful for what they gave us, including the ability to transfer our characters to another quality live legacy server, but seriously, this latest announcement is ridiculous. Let's hope Elysium step up and protects the community by telling Nostalrius where to go.

Well I don't know how Nost thought the community would take it, but I've seen no support whatsoever for this latest statement. It seems Nost have just shot themselves in the foot and will looked upon as people who gave renewed hope to the legacy community only to stab them in the back when they got comfortable in their new surroundings. I sincerely hope Elysium tell them where to get off.

I find it hard to believe only 10% of current players were from Nostalrius and as a result, if Elysium do cave in to this, they'll lose a sizeable chunk of their player base. I for one will not start over, I'll find something else to play instead.

BC server, yes. Vanilla server like we have, but with the BC pre-patch, no.

You are out of luck, Elysium will not restore any of your lost items as account security is your own responsibility.

Why would you EVER use the same details as another private server? Whilst you would hope your details are safe with them, it seems to me that the other server has a vested interest in getting your account banned here, i.e so that it leaves a nasty taste here and you go back to them.

Ganking is part of the game. I don't particularly like ganking so I just play on a PvE server instead. Nobody is forcing anybody to play on a PvP server.

Whilst I understand what you are saying, how many people are likely to admit that they bought gold when it's already frowned upon by large parts of the community? How many of those that ARE willing to admit it, would also be willing to admit to getting caught, banned and having the gold removed? Most people in my opinion would keep it quiet, therefore few people would ever know and as a result there would be no word to spread. Ban the buyers, ban the sellers, no exceptions, no right of appeal.

Personally I like Shimmering Flats and go there with every character. Good XP from the grind, good for leather if you're a skinner, the vendor trash is pretty good and you can build up a bit of cash. I've never quite understood how people get bored with a grind. I mean if I'm not killing scorpions, basilisks and turtles in Shimmering Flats then it's panthers and tigers in STV. Ultimately it's all about killing mobs, so I don't really worry about which ones.

No. You have to log in first then select the 'Change Realm' button on the top right of the character window.

As a warrior, always have lots of food and potions, you'll need them. Buy a gun or bow asap and pull mobs to a safe area instead of charging in, but be prepare to die, probably a lot. Accept it, embrace it, it's going to happen, especially if you solo quest for the most part.

That's not true. IF once the fresh PvP server comes, the queues on the PvE server get so bad that an extra server is required, then I'd say, yes, go for it, create a fresh PvE server. But, at this time, we have no idea if we even need one, because there hasn't been enough time elapsed to have any real information about it. It's likely that there are people on the PvE awaiting the fresh PvP server and those people will leave as soon as the new server comes. We need to wait. There is no point opening a new server until we know if it's required or all that happens is a relatively small number of PvE players are split over two realms when we could all fit on one comfortably. You don't just open new servers because a handful of people want some server firsts. You do it because the other one is constantly full with large queues and a new server would benefit everybody.
