I'm pretty sure that's not how it works on these servers. It only has a chance to proc off the first hit, same as with blizzard.

I'd say it really depends on your guild and how long they've been doing BWL/MC. If you are in a new guild that is still progressing in BWL then just stay frost for AQ/BWL/MC. If you are in that can clear BWL but it takes 2 days to complete then you might want to stay as frost until your guild can clear BWL easily. If you are in a guild that can comfortably clear BWL then just stay fire. Being fire spec in a guild that can comfortably clear BWL won't impact whether the raid gets cleared or not, bosses will just die maybe 10-15 seconds slower. Another suggestion would be to level an alt and just do BWL/MC on your alt if you don't need any loot from those raids on your mage. I'm sure with AQ coming out more guilds will likely start gearing alts in BWL/MC. Also spell pen won't really make a difference since a majority of the bosses are immune to fire damage.

It's only really possible if your guild doesn't mind. But keep in mind you will likely be one of the lowest DPS in the raid if you are allowed to use such a spec. There really isn't a spec that is considered good for both PVP and PVE.

It's not bugged. The crit strike bonus is 50% more damage, if you increase that by 100% then it becomes 100% more damage which double your hit damage.
-
You could try to test this by having a low level character duel a lvl 60 and check the distribution of crits and hits.

Is it considering a bug that MQG (mage trinket Mind Quickening Gem) allows you to loot herbs faster and if so is it considered a bannable offence if you use MQG to loot herbs?
-
I just remember on old nost I heard it was considered bug abuse so I wanted to get confirmation about whether or not it is considered bug abuse here.

Ok then by that logic 1% crit is useless as well since none of the current boss fights last long enough for you to cast 100 frostbolts. 2% crit is useless in all fights except nef because all the other bosses die before you can cast 50 frostbolts. However if instead of looking at a single boss fight you combine the number of casts in ALL boss fights you start to see that even 0.33% crit can occur.

I don't understand how you proved that gnome is not better than human for pve. You basically show that gnomes get 0.33% crit while humans get like 10 spirit. How does this prove that gnomes are not objectively better than humans? Hypothetically say Elysium made a new belt enchant and you had two choices for the enchants, +10 spirit or + 0.33% spell crit. You're telling me you would not pick the 0.33% spell crit? I think what you are trying say with the video and with this thread is that gnomes are only slightly better than humans and the difference is hardly noticeable, but there is a difference which favors gnomes.

I was wondering if anyone knows if using the nampower addon is bannable? Link: https://github.com/namreeb/nampower I don't want to use the addon unless a GM can confirm that it is ok to use.

Well that's a shame. Thanks for the reply.

Well at the start warlocks really struggle since the itemization is really bad. Mages have the same issue but are able to perform better since they have access to +hit from talents. So it might be easier to find a good guild as a mage at the start. However, finding a good guild is more dependent on you as a player than if you choose mage or warlock. If you can show people you are a good/reliable player you will find a good guild regardless of the choice you make between mage and warlock. So with that my advice is to go with the class you prefer. I'd say from ZG onward both classes are very similar in terms of DPS output.

Are you going to level on fresh or old pvp/pve?
-
Berserking is definitely better but you have to also take into consideration playing horde vs alliance. I'd personally rather play mage as alliance since you will have blessing of salvation. With the new rage changes to warriors threat might be the limiting factor on how much dps you can do. If so then alliance will be the way to go imo. For leveling I would definitely level as frost.

If you trasnfer a nost account onto an elysium account then it is stuck on that elysium account no matter what? I only ask because a friend of mine activated a token onto someone's elysium account and now does not have access to that elysium account. Basically my friend has the old nost email and the old nost account name. Is he screwed?

Token was used on the wrong Elysium account

Oh he doesn't have access to the Elysium account's email or password to request the Elysium token. The nost token won't work for the Elysium to Elysium transfer right? -
I think for the crit derivative you have to use the quotient rule when taking the derivative so instead it becomes: [(StarfireBase+spellpower)(1/100)(1-miss/100)(3 - 0.5*crit/100) + (0.5/100)(StarfireBase+spellpower)(1 + crit/100)(1-miss/100)] / (3-0.5*crit/100)^2 = (StarfireBase + spellpower)(1/100)(1-miss/100) / (3 - 0.5*crit/100) + (0.5/100)(StarfireBase + spellpower)(1 + crit/100)(1-miss/100) / (3 - 0.5*crit/100)^2 This is because the crit variable is in both the numerator and the denominator. The bold term is what you have but then you can add the italicized term that comes from using the quotient rule.
