Welcome, Exact date of the fresh realm is yet to be announced, they will announce it during Chirstmas (on the 25th). I expect it to be realeased in the first weeks of January. As for a druid PvP, Tauren have better racials compared to night elfs, in my humble opinion. Shadowmeld isn't really that usefull, since you can't move or use it while in combat, where Warstomp could get you out of some nasty situations both PvE and PvP. Dogde change is decent, but Tauren's 5% HP bonus is simply better, since it's usefull on every hit you take and not just on dodgeable attacks. Both have +10 Nature Resitance. Wisp spirit is nice, but you when gonna get camped or die fast twice in a row, you need to wait to ressurrect anyway.

You'll have a field day, 11 out of 10 horde rogues are undead.

They use dynamic spawns, as far as I am aware. But it is what it is, if you can't take it, wait a few days/a week for the initial first wave of fresh accounts to get out of the starting zones.

Most likely not since the project is located in Europe. Having all servers on the same time is a benefit aswell and makes things like resetting easier, I suppose.

Try removing your WBD folder in the Wordl of Warcraft Folder.

Nost PvP and Nost PvE are opened tomorrow. They are the former Nostalrius realms and have progressed in terms raid, gear, bg's. In PvP you are always pvp flagged in contested or enemy zones, meaning players from the opposing faction can attack you. In PvE this is disabled unless you set pvp on by /pvp. New accounts can be played on these, you don't need to have played on these servers before. The fresh realm will release in january by the looks of it. It doesn't have all the content Nost PvP/PvE offers yet and no established market, thinks like that.

Wait a few days or level to 5 and start fishing or something. It's a fresh server, if people would be able to migrate their characters over, it destoys the aspect of a fresh start. If you played on Nostalrius PvP/PvE before it's shutdown, you can transfer them over to here for the same servers (no fresh ones). Details are on the Elysium homepage. I don't think accounts from other servers can be transfered.

Imagine a midnight release you'd probaply need to stay up all night to restart the server several times etc etc 18:00 GMT +1 seems a fair compromise for NA and EU players to be honest.

It's okay and fun to kill to occasional lower player every now and then. But corpse camping/camping an area just to grief? That's not really fun for me and kinda cowardly. Unless trying to provoke 60's from the enemy faction, but there are less time conusming options for that. Then again I remeber grouping up with a bunch of 32-38 and killing a 60 ( pally) that was hindering our questing in STV, good fun.

Allrighty then, I admit I like huts, spice it up with a dwarf maybe? Fear ward is pretty nice for PvP. For leveling I'd take the tram to Stormwind and level in Elwynn. Don't know that much about lore. Just handing out ideas. Anyway good luck with your choice and leveling, perhaps we'll meet on the field of battle.

They have posted the timelines for Nost PvP and Nost PvE, both releasing this weekend (17th December). As you can see they have dates included on which date a certain patch/update has been released or will be released. So you can get an estimate on how far ther servers are in terms of progression.

I never made it to 60, I am exited to play a new class on the fresh realm and derp around with talents, gear and tactics. As I'd like to explore these myself and that's where the fun and challenge is for me.

Derp around on my old nost characters, waiting for the fresh server to come out (as I will be playing there with some friends). - I will probaly provide some free blacksmiting services and do low level dungeons to help out new players. - Some STV wPvP for practice (as I am quite the noob in pvp). - Ride around on my mount feeling awesome

It still can be influenced by favouritism, the master looter simply can award his favourite pal more DKP. Unless the document of gained DKP per player is publicly available.

I see it's as a rather good thing. It shows that vanilla WoW (illegally or not) has huge support from it's community. It shows how passionte people are about it and the willlingness to fight for it. It shows that (most) private server community's don't do it to screw with Blizzard, but simply because they want to play vanilla Wow. Something Blizzard doesn't offer. Blizzard's silence on the topic is worrysome, but imagine the consequences of an Elysium shutdown by Blizzard, which seems to recieve more media attention than the Nost shutdown sofar.

I am looking to trigger (dangerous choice of a word I know) some thoughts and discussion here, while we wait for release. Why do you think we like vanilla WoW? I’d like to stay away from the seemingly unavoidable comparison with retail or any expansion, where often “Retail sucks, Vanilla is best” is concluded. This is a valid opinion for some of us here. But the community also seems to exist out of new players, who never played any version of WoW, like me (I played Nost a little before it’s shutdown). We aren’t all hardened veterans looking for nostalgia. There is something that attracts new players and I don’t think it’s just the hype. For me vanilla is a perfect combination of a lore filled fantasy world, satisfying levelling and most of all exploration (both the world and the game mechanics). I remember looking up Argual’s history and story, after the first time I went to Shadowfang Keep. The quest log only told me so much and I felt engaged in the game’s story and lore, I wanted to know more. Something I haven’t found in much other games. Let’s hear your opinion or ask me anything about my experience with vanilla WoW/Nost (PvP).
