I had an issue like this. Check your spam folder as well? It took mine a couple days. Figured it was normal due to the convergence going on at that time. I have no further information regarding this matter. Would look for an official response.

You haven't played anywhere else have you? If so: The issue could lay with your realmlist settings. If you're unsure of how to check this, follow my simple guide: 1. Navigate to your World of Warcraft folder for the patch 1.12 2. Open realmlist.wtf -- Use your favorite text editing program 3. Modify the information found within the .wtf file to match this: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org 4. Ctrl + S 5. Alt + f4 6. Open Wow.exe 7. You were on vacation and missed the announcement.. Sorry about that. Nostalrius has asked that Elysium stop using their data. This includes but is not limited to: Core and Data-base. Essentially, all characters moved over from Nost have been wiped from the data-base and you're now missing characters that you worked on while playing on Nost's realm. Which realm is this for? Some realms are new and Alliance seems to be more popular right now. That would be the only answer that I could give you.

You're right. I do believe they are taking the correct steps towards addressing the issue. Just wish they had taken the preventative measures to have prevented it altogether. I guess that's how you grow though. Learn from your mistakes.

The one thing I have an issue with: The mobs de-spawn too quickly. If you're fighting multiple mobs then you're going to lose some loot because the mob you killed about 5 seconds ago just de-spawned.

You're not wrong, however, let it be known that something like this should have been caught sooner. I am NOT saying anyone didn't do their job, but when changes are being made to character tables in the database then the SQL development team should have saw it quickly. This is why SQL has an option for IP restrictions. That means if the IP doesn't match the account it's created with for accessing the Database then it will not go through, even if the credentials are matching. Guess what that means? If you said there was an account that lacked this feature; you would more than likely be correct. There is another option though: there could have been an account made for the hacker(s) to access the DB through. Which would mean this has been going on for a long time, probably before the launch when things were still being set-up. If that's the case then this was a HUGE oversight by the SQL team.

This was due to a security breach. There were, from what has been released, multiple hackers. They were modifying information directly in the data-base. This means a couple of things. Access to accounts was compromised Not all information in the Data-base is genuine Information may have been backed up Confidential information may be leaked/stolen If you see someone running around with something they shouldn't have all you can do is report them for investigation. Returning the database to its original state would require a roll back, but they have no knowledge of when the breach first occurred. If confidential information was stored within the database(which it is) then there is a chance that your information may be in the hands of someone you didn't agree to release it to. Which isn't your fault! I don't think there's anything to worry about there. Elysium doesn't accept donations through their site. That's about all I have for the moment.

Well the ToU should be updated to reflect that then.

Actually, I checked the ToU. I don't see anywhere that it is stated that this is not allowed. It states that trading for outside game goods and currency is against the rules, however, it does not state that trading gold for gold on another realm is against the rules. It is still within the boundaries of Elysium-Project. Those last two come from "C. Permanent Ban" So this should be OK. I would try to get an official response though.

If you are wanting to experience WoW. I would chill out for a little bit. Once the realm opens to the public it's going to be rather crowded. The good thing with the re-opening of Nost realms is that there will be less new characters in the starting zone rather than when the fresh launches. If you don't mind being in competition for quest kills and items for a week or two then you'll be fine with either. Otherwise just play on the re-release. That's my best bet for you.

Yes it is still around, it's based on dates though. Every other Tuesday an expansion is revisited.
