Private servers will always have a place, even if it is a much, much smaller place.

Plus there is a question of what the legacy servers will be like. We don't know until we see them. We can be hopeful, yes, but Blizzard and Activision are companies. There is one truth still, in spite of this. Many in the private server community have made friends we can't take with us to retail because we live in different parts of the world. That said, I'm sure private servers will always have a place, unless classic servers open up on an international level to allow for all of us to play on the same servers...which I doubt will happen. Some will choose only retail, but I'm sure the demand of a private server won't leave completely, as even hard working, well paying retail subs will still like to play with their other friends too.

I hope it will be more than that by the time transfers figure themselves out...

....perhaps the idea of merging all three of the hardly populated ones is a good idea... then we can make that into the "RP-PVP" server that some people are really gunning for. Then to fill the other voids we could have Elysium make a fresh PVE server, and then a fresh PVP server, and there we go....everyone wanting a particular server type has one.

My sexuality is none of your concern, and making assumptions only proves you do not wish to be accepting of other people in the slightest. Putting us down does nothing but prove your complete and utter vitriol of our enjoyment as we see fit... If you don't like Elysium Project, then fine, that's your choice. You're welcome to have it. However, don't put us Elysium players down simply because we choose to play here. You naysayers are also sitting in these forums, meaning that you are choosing to participate, at least on some level, with the people involved with the Elysium Project. Therefore, you are also part of the "lowest common denominator" and should also get some sense of dignity. Let's just be happy we have a server incoming that we can all go to and ply on...I believe that's the focus we should have.

With the banter of a new server, I've noticed a lack of people talking about guilds. Since it will be released on the 5th, I thought I would add a post here, just to generate people thinking about it, and to let it be known that I will be seeking in the future. So, that being said, I will be rolling a troll mage. Here's what I'm looking for in a guild. Please contact me if I'm a good fit for you. The top points highlight my personality, and the type of person I am. The bottom one highlights the type of player I am. I'm a non-binary female, I'm 28, and I live on the east coast of America. I live with my family, and so you will hear members of the household passing by my office on any given day to talk to me, or ask me to step away from the computer for a moment to help with something. Since my parents are older, this happens often. I'm a temperate person who just likes to relax and have a good time either before or after work. I don't get angry often, and it takes quite a bit to upset me in any capacity. That being said, I would like a guild respectful of women in gaming. I enjoy a good joke just as much as the next person, but, I don't want to be part of a guild that believes in the mistreatment of anyone. Not man, woman, or child. I don't mind banter about politics and hot button issues, but I'd like to see those matters spoken of respectfully or not at all. I don't like bigotry, and I hate hive-minded, uneducated blanket statements about any race, religion, sexuality, personal identity, or anything of that sort. I will speak up about bigotry, because it truly bothers me. I come from a bi-racial household, and live very closely with my family. I wouldn't want to subject them to blatantly toxic things (like pointed and continuous racial slurs). I'd like a guild who conducts themselves respectfully in the community, as I often aim to do the same. I want to wear a guild name with pride, and I'd prefer if the guild was mostly adult oriented. At the very least, I expect to be around people who present themselves in a mature manner. Real life obligation come first and foremost in my life. I'd like a guild that understands that, and respects it. I'm PVP focused and PVE focused. I'd like a guild active on the world PVP stage, and I'd like to experience end game for the first time. My prior raiding experiences come from other mmorpgs, not vanilla WoW. I'd like a strong leadership. A guild that knows what it expects from it's members, and enforces those expectations stringently. I want good raid and class leaders, as I will be new to raiding and will need a guiding hand about the end game, and what to expect from the bosses and trash pulls. Obviously I will do my own research as well, but I'd like to know that my guild leadership will be friendly and helpful, offering answers and opinions when I ask for them...and I will ask question a lot, to ensure I'm doing things correctly from an end game environment. Number crunching is not my strong suit. What you can expect from me as a player: A active person in voice-chat, and very willing to participate in the guild website. Free to participate in guild activities every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday. The other days of the week are subject to my real life schedule. A moderate player in all ways. I wouldn't call myself hardcore, but I do enjoy longer play sessions, and spend about 4-10 hours in game on any given day, pending my real life obligations. A helpful and active member of the guild, willing to lend my time farming mats, helping with instance runs, and doing what I can, when I am able. I have experience as a guild events officer, and a guild moderator of sorts in other games to help the guild run smoothly. If you are seeking a player with my qualities, let me know preferably before Nov. 5th, as I would like to have a chance to meet you, and any other members of the guild you have, to be sure we will be a good fit.

you're the one calling a group of people who are for the most part normal, as people who have a mental illness... according to the medical field, being transgendered has not been considered a mental illness for years... failing to know the facts, is what marks you as incompetent... I don't agree with this statement.... you can believe whatever you want, but they do not have to be the same as what I think...

Honestly they should make one TBC server, and one Vanilla server, and leave it at that, I think...for those who want TBC, they can have those instant 60 characters and play how they want on a TBC realm...i think that would be best, but i doubt it will happen....

Well, a few 100 strong, provided they are active players, won't be so bad....

I also retract my statement of going to Everyst...because their discord is, as i have discovered a very toxic community....don't go there if you happen to be part of the GLBT community...they think trans people are sick...and are, as I've newly discovered very racist. This upsets me greatly, as I expected better from them, since they seemed to hold themselves to such high regard....instead, they're all just incompetent jerks, who do not like the idea of an inclusive community.

I agree, I want to be able to play Vanilla, not be forced into TBC content right away....that's not to say I never want TBC, but give us at LEAST a year and a half on the server first....though two years is better.

hopefully that won't be the case....

Honestly, LH and Elysium should both have a place in gaming, and we should let the drama pass...

PVPers are indeed welcome on this server, as it will be a pvp server of some type...it would be foolish for it not to be...

I don't think the server will self-sustain on it's own. I think it will be forced to merge...however if you and others believe otherwise, then the PVE realm should stay in tact, so I will vote in favor of you all. That being said, if the server remains dead, you've only yourselves to blame for the results...so long that as a total server, you all accept the likely unpleasant blame for that, then I see no reason why you shouldn't take the chance to stay independent.

sadly there will be soon, there are two, perhaps three coming out by the end of the year...so new fresh servers will be cropping up. Everyest will be having a stress test Nov 5th. So there's a chance people will be there.

I hope you are correct, however, I am still concerned about the long term, and that server doesn't just die out in a few weeks. It's a real worry at this moment, since we don't know how well the community will adapt back to Elysium's mindsets and practices.
