There are many legitimate reasons to have your own server! Using a local clone of Elysium you can test and reproduce bugs and write fixes for them. Some people use local servers to test gear that they don't have. The Elysium source code can be found here: https://github.com/elysium-project/server

No idea when that bug is going to be fixed. I'm sure the developers know about it, give it time. (In the mean time you should post it on the GitHub issue tracker. Creating an account is very easy.)

Everyone seems to have issues with the Elysium BugTracker right now. Doesn't work for me either. Devs are reading the issues on GitHub, so it makes sense to post it there. (This is not official info) I have a feeling that the Elysium tracker is not maintained anymore and that the GitHub issue tracker will replace it.

Yeah, it's dynamic. This is one of the oldest Nostalrius core features so I doubt this is going to change.

It's not possible to restore your account. Everything but the character's name is encrypted. Nostalrius' transfer site provided tokens which were used to decrypt the account data. There is no way for Elysium to restore your data.

People don't care about being called "pirates". People don't care about some "morals" when playing WoW on a private server. We just want to play the game.

I've been monitoring ban reasons & the ban appeal forums since Nostalrius was released and I can tell you the following: Any form of Anti-AFK is a permanent ban here. Keyboard macros aswell, since they cause ingame actions without human interaction. I personally know people who got perma-banned for using the simplest autoclicker-scripts. So the guy spamming Aspect of the Hawk is an obvious case here. AFAIK GMs do not automatically check people for using such cheats/scripts. It's on the players to report them.
