That sounds like your realmlist.wtf points to a wrong place (wrong server). Double-check your realmlist.wtf is indeed set to: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org If that doesn't help, then open your config.wtf file which is located in the sub-folder WTF. This is responsibile for redirecting you to the gameserver itself after successfull login. Check the two settings beginning with SET realmList and SET realmName - they should both look like the ones below: SET realmList "logon.elysium-project.org" SET realmName "Nostalrius PvE" If they are different, then correct them or insert them if they don't. There are around 50 lines in total in random order, so it doesn't mean anything where you put them.

You can change password from the web if you Logout and then select "Forgot password" in the Control Panel you get an email with password reset instructions - and there you can enter a new password. I have seen mixed reports with using ".account" ingame, so dont really know if it works!

Tokens havent worked since the 24th (December), but I have no idea if token import will get back, or all import has now been halted. This is a wild guess and it might not work at all, but try this: Open your config.wtf file in the WTF folder and change the graphic setting manually to: SET hwDetect "0" SET gxColorBits "24" SET gxDepthBits "24" SET gxResolution "1920x1080" SET gxRefresh "60"

If coloured text was allowed, then the chat would be one big mess; everyone would make colours so exactly their line was unique compared to all others.

Then try addinf this line into your config.wtf: SET realmName "Nostalrius PvP" This can help if you disconnect before reaching the character list (=before you actually connect to the game server). If you DO see the character list, but disconnect after selecting a character, then the problem is somewhere else.

The new server will be a vanilla server, like the others. There might (and might not) be a TBC server later, but we are talking 1-2 years ahead of time.

Character transfers are not supported. And from PvE to PvP? It would not be fair for those already levelling on the PvP server that you came there with your 60 the "easy way".

Start the game as Administrator.

If you want to go PvP, wait for the new server, otherwise go on the existing PvE one since there won't be a new PvE server.

It crashes? Or it says DISCONNECTED? If the last, then it means the login server worked, but it can't send you to the game server. It probably tries to send you to the QA server or whatever ... This is NOT the same problem. The guys above don't see the character list, which is caused by a wrong config.wtf file. Your problem is something else, because you reach the game server - and then gets disconnected. One thing you can try is to delete the WDB folder, rename the WTF folder to WTF2 and Interface folder to Interface2 and run the game. If the game works, then you know the problem is an addon. After than you can rename the WTF2 folder back to WTF and Interface folder back to Interface2 (so you keep your original addons plus their settings).

A new realm is opened in a week, that should take some of the pressure in the starting zones at least.
