    OneButtonHunter

Hi. Does anyone else have problem with macro provided with addon? For me it doesn't use aimed shot at all. Shino replied it works fine for him but I got tons of addons, maybe a conflict of a sort. Wanted to ask more people about it and their experiences. https://github.com/Geigerkind/OneButtonHunter

Looking for testers for Shino addon https://github.com/Geigerkind/OneButtonHunter Its supposed to use hunter rotation taking autoshot timer into consideration. For me it doesn't use aimed shot at all. All interested in this addon please provide feedback. Those purists that consider this addon threat to their "skill", please guys don't shitpost here. We pity you.

Is there anything Elysium can do?

I wish:P Thinking Elysium would live same life as they do right now and have that kind of population on their fresh server if it were known to post-Nost community how they would treat their database in the future... now thats wishful thinking.

Yea practically every wow gamer I know that quit Anathema wanted to go Gummy real hard but after it went down everyone lost every remaining bits of confidence in future for tbc scene, as you said its both due to the poor scripting and now added bonus of being bombed hard by blizzard. Anyway you should already have learned that inheriting a database, core and scripts is one thing but implementing it and running it like OG is completely different thing. I don't have confidence in Elysium being a right hub to host the hype that is, especially now that they have virtually no team, major bugs are there unresolved for months now. I mean whats the point of releasing content patch if it completely wrecks previous content like Silithus... people can't even complete their rep rewards. P;S i spoke about confidence level of players that I know (fairly large crowd) have toward TBC, not about hype. I mean people been hyped about many weird ass things in a past... playtbc.com... ekhem... as history shown hype doesn't make things neither good nor lasting.

Yea... no that won't happen. Imagine some people rolled on vanilla server because they actually don't like further expansions. TBC is pretty much a raidloggers expansion + some arenas but whatever. There is no world pvp, no bg system to promote organized pvp there, just arenas. But thats even beside the point because its personal pref. Fact worth mentioning is that so many TBC across last 2 years died before they reached even 30% of their timeline that Its hard for me to believe anyone would consider Anathema going TBC any selling factor. TBC atm is like at the bottom of confidence level for potential fresh people.

Is there anything Elysium can do?

Because at that time they still had obligation to Nost staff? If they didn't open Anathema first then its population would boycott the shit out of them in no time.

Nah man there isn't enough examples to say that this is all there is to the problem. I think majority of the people looked at what happened to Kronos and made decision based on that. I mean you can't really blame them cause we're talking about tens or hundreds days played invested into a char.

Is there anything Elysium can do?

Before inheriting Nostalrius re-launch hype and before being backed up by "entitled refugees" they were the non-existant brand fighting for their lives for years. Shit dude don't cite what you don't understand.
  10. In other words if you want a fix then learn coding, fix it yourself and then still depend on QA not fucking things up. Vanilla 2k17 post Nost legacy right on.

Vanilla was unique in that manner that even tho Naxx was too hard for majority to clear or even step in you never really needed to be full bis high end geared to actually keep playing the game and remain competitive if you wanted. Thats due to poor class balance, you could pair tier 1 or tier 2 quality rogue vs full naxx warrior, mage, hunter and if rogue was top skilled he would still beat the crap out of them. I feel majority of people that play on vanilla servers today are a bit entitled in a way that if they smell that they won't be able to raid AQ or NAXX and by that fall off from competitive environment they just leave because they refuse to realize that its not lack of best gear that make them bad, its just having poor skill. But thats one group and so far its proven somewhat right. Then you have a second group in which I'm that would like to raid the crap out of Naxx with full dedication because I had no chance to do it on retail, unlike the first group this group realizes that Naxx is ultimate reward for ultimate dedication. Sadly those are not the only factors, Nostalrius shown us how crazy good server can be if community is there. Its hard to stick around on low pop server if you got accustomed to huge world pvps each day 24/7, constant drama, this made things much more interesting than raids or patch content. So NO... don't rationalize by trying to assume people just don't like "hard" because thats not the reason why shit went down here. Server died because many of many reasons mixed together... like poor management, releasing bugged content despite delays and ptr attendance, taking independence in implementing very anti blizz-like custom tweaks despite being advertised as blizz-like. All of this paired with release of a fresh server... thus cutting surplus of fresh players produced that result. Whats killing it even more right now is fact they have like no dev team left, they rely on open source contributors to do the job... thats why herb spawn rate and Silithus is fucked for more than a month now without a fix.
  12. Ait man enjoy the ride while it lasts.
  13. There is a reason why countries gives voting right to populace that reached certain voting age.
  14. Then what are you doing here if the content players don't involve themselves? I thought you were saying all over the place that Anathema is FINE and you're happy with its status. By your logic forums would be flooded by whiners without any1 to oppose them. Yet here you are doing that and by that you invalidate your own argument. Unless you are actually not content and its just your day job to fight what you consider trolls on forums and attempt to overwhelm them by your erudition and ability to copy irrelevant wiki links... in that case suit yourself fella. I guess none of us is free of insecurities eh?
  15. Not really but even if so then we can also determine how many people are against the merge purely by estimating how many people speak against it in those same topics... its gonna be you, toradh... give it a factor of 10 for silent agreement and it nets you about 20 players. Bitch please.. don't use arguments that can bite your own ass. You ruin the facade of intelligence you've been so busy building all over the place.
  16. Honestly even despite Anathema is dying for population right now its only reasonable to advice you to roll on Elysium. The way things are and the way management acts doesn't bid well for Anathema. So I'll say this... welcome on board if you wish but I won't say its not a risk at this point.

    How to save Anathema

I've been pulling 15 hour a day when I grinded rank :P I contributed this way to help show a server as a place for dedicated hardcore vanilla players. Anyway I get it... all that control needed... it takes time to run an oppressive, controlled environment, with 800 people idling in capital cities. P.S Meeeerge it already. Everyone knows its the only way to save this brand by having one community that don't fight each other yet you still insist on showing your PhD on bullshit.

No its beside the point because other people (sellers) don't have a means to measure how much gold "people" have on average on vanilla servers. So sure they can go crazy and put flask for 200gold on AH just because they think its worth trying cause they have few friends that would buy it for that much but then again their success of selling it at that price is bound to lack of competition. So it goes both ways. If server is big enough and its easy enough to farm specific goods then economy fixes itself cause people that got it easy to farm same thing will compete with each other by undercutting. If you on the other hand have limited ways to earn gold because A) is nerfed B) is nerfed C) is inefficient gold/hour D) is possible only for specific team / specs then the rest of the people will pick something like farming lotuses and set an arbitrary price on it not depending on how much its actually worth but how much it HAS to be worth so it pays for their expenses becaues its their only way to farm gold. Just observe what happened with dreamfoil and mountain silverage when they increased spawn rate, it got easier to farm so people that were doing it for money left it because it wasn't anymore worth to compete and world pvp over it when price per stack dropped from 15g to 5-7g. Lotus remained hard capped by respawn time per zone so its price didn't drop, bah, because other herbs lost on their worth people that used to farm them for gold joined the lotus hunters and by increasing competition on farming it lotus just raised in price. It makes no sense they nerfed farming in instances as its also hardcapped by limit on how much you can do it per hour so it had a control mechanism on its own. If they were afraid people would go nuts on prices just because they assumed everyone got a lot of gold then they could just increase fees for specific goods at ah to punish jews that would try raise the price bar.

Retail... ye sure lets use example of irrelevant material on 12 year old servers with quests that give like hundreds of gold quest rewards at Legion zones in attempt to create a "rule" that would fit vanilla private realm and could be compared to high end consumables like flasks.

    How to save Anathema

Ofc you need to have capacity for players. If we had to wait in 10k queues then we'd loose those 10k players that don't want to wait just as easily as due to reasons we lost players so far. But I remember Nost had like no lag even with 11k online. It only started to kick off and lag very hard at 12k+ at 13k it was becoming nigh unplayable. But thats why they were working on clustering thing. On Elysium there are lags during peak hours at as low as what? 5k? 6k? So far this server... as thankful as I'm for having my char back and finishing the rank grind, getting to raid aq40 but... it devolved... despite pushing its progression a bit further its still regress compared to Nost. Nonetheless capacity is one thing but making it irreversible and non-mergeable by making it different timelines is fail at shot calling. Despite what I'm sure were and are good intentions this was wrong decision. And its ok as long as they are able to admit it and act in order to fix it. Thats all I'm asking for. Anyway if merge is impossible ever forever period then maybe some action should be taken to make influx of any new players hit Anathema instead Elysium. Maybe by closing char creation for few months on Elysium i dunno.

    Lack of people for partys

You not alone friend. The only reason I still play here is because I'm like 99% bis geared and I cba to roll alt so I'm satisfied with just queuing 1 or 2 bgs and logging off, thats all this server offer atm. Sure you can force yourself to grind gold or farm 5mans for new dungeon sets for rp value but there is nothing "big" going on. No dramas for world events worth sticking for etc.

    Lack of people for partys

Few reasons: A) new people being mostly (post Wotlk) wow fans that jumped on the hype train after Nost drama, those wanted to have an experience, try it out without knowing what it entails. Now some of this flock indeed would like to xfer to Anathema but they are denied it. B) people that didn't achieve much on old Nost that took it as an opportunity to be on a frontline on fresh server. C) people that knew how same shit played out from Kronos In the end human nature won and fear of getting molestedex by bwl geared folks scared the majority of the crowd that, as said above, came here just to try it out before resubbing to Legion after hype dies out.

Flasks price depend on spawn rates of lotus and herbs which on this server is tinkered to fit the overall needs. I'm talking about general use of gold not just a highest-high end luxury products like flasks. Beside flasks you got tons of others stuff that you spend gold on, engineering stuff, grinding stones, oils etc. Most people don't use those because gold farms are shit. As a result people that farm and craft those things (stones etc) sell them expensive because demand is limited and beside getting their time investment back they have to get back what they loose in opportunity cost (being a miner and mining stones costs you not being a herbalist that make gold easier). That being said because people can't solo farm anymore they just duo farm for even bigger gold / hour because its faster and safer. Talking about miner + healer farms and rogue + druid tribute farms for 110g/hour farm. Resourceful people still can farm "industrial" level of gold in instances. Solo farming was nerfed because administration was unable to deal with bots farming that way. And about gold dumps... if gold is too hard to farm for majority of the people then they just don't "dump" respec anymore because they simply don't have a gold to dump thus "gold dumps" loose their "dump" importance and become luxury and... annoyance. That leads to people playing hybrid not min/maxed specs in attempt to find a cheap solution for their activities and if they can't (prots for eg) they just raidlog... if they don't have a gold farming toon that will sustain their main needs that is. I sit on +/- 1200 gold after finishing prog runs in AQ and play on a budget right now. I spent about 1000 gold to prep for AQ, having farmed myself most of the stuff anyway. Most of my gold came from farming Un'Goro and selling sets. If I had to farm all that farming maraudon I'd hang myself lol;p If I wanted to use all the stuff I'd like to have actual fun in pvp... faps, invis pots, best granades, zanza each 2 hours i'd be broke in less than a day. And believe me there are try-hards that WILL buy gold to spam use everything they can. If gold farms were easier it wouldn't mean flasks would go up to 200 because people would actually start using more of other stuff more casually and liquidate the gold in that way. Atm I don't really see majority of people playing and using all they can, most of people are under performing not using consumables or not putting best enchants on non-bis equipment purely because they can't afford it on regular basis. Some are fine with that and just accept being mediocre but others just buy gold.

Gold dumps are important indeed but after they abandoned their "blizz-like" ways and went on with their custom ideas with nerfing solo farming in dungeons (dm e for casters, dm trib for hunters) it lost its original importance. Nerfing best ways to farm gold is the bigger encouragement to gold buying imo.
