I've read some interesting opinions on whether private servers are "illegal" or not. I'm not too sure it's as clear cut as it seems. But in any event, Elysium is not approved by Blizzard and Blizzard may at some time in the future send a letter to Elysium or the server host to cease and desist - meaning stop what they're doing. At that time, it's up to the Elysium group and/or the host to decide what to do. The server host may terminate their service to Elysium, which would require Elysium to find a new host. Or Elysium may decide to shut down like Nost did, but the Elysium people have said they would ignore any C&D from Blizzard. Lastly, we should be clear about what kind of "illegal" a private server is. It's contrary to the terms of the EULA for WoW, it may be a violation of copyright and trademark law, but it certainly isn't a crime.

Incorrect. The Blue Dragon is always better than Mindtap. Shard of the Scale is better than Blue Dragon when you are in pre-raid gear. From BWL gear and beyond, Blue Dragon is superior.

It's not perfect, they're trying to improve it, but it's there and it works. What has been confirmed is that the Nostalrius anti-cheat system was not part of the deal to give the Nost database to Elysium. Elysium has adapted the anti-cheat they used on their original server, which at this point doesn't seem to be as good as Nost's was.

This thread lists all consumables by class and even if they stack or overwrite each other.

From what I understand, I wasn't there, after the initial screenshot where Jessicarnage says he can roll on it, the item was fully reserved and it was made clear to everyone in the raid. Bed here apparently missed that part, or very carefully made sure to leave it out. In the last screen, you can see Jessicarnage apologizing for the confusion. How many ninjas do you know apologize like that? Give me a break.

Yes, nostalri.us appears to be correct. All 40man raids except Onyxia reset once a week on Wednesday. Onyxia resets every 5 days. ZG and other 20mans reset every 3 days.

In BGs you should be hanging back, your teammates should be peeling attackers off of you, and you have other means to keep yourself alive. PI is great in BGs. Depends on the class and what gear you have already. In general, the tier 1 stuff is worse than what you can get elsewhere, but it's a good set for pvp for almost all classes. For example, for priests, because I know priests best, the shoulders are quite good, better than pre-raid, and the gloves are best in slot. The rest is either really bad or just okay, but you can get much better pre-raid. For tier 2, it again depends on the class, but tier 2 is quite good for many classes. Hunters, priests, warriors, druids, rogues need a bunch of tier 2. For hunters and warriors, the full set is pretty much BIS. Caster DPS not so much since they all need to wear Bloodvine and the offset pieces are quite good.
