There will be announcement about fresh realm at 25th of december /thread

So let me get this straight, everytime someone rolls on Nostalrius they should wipe databases so ppl can roll on fresh start? what about when let's say kronos will maybe die and 1000 players finally reroll on Nost / Ely servers, let's wipe the database then so those ppl can level with the same pace? I so much hate the decision to make any fresh servers because now we are stucked with these ppl that want fresh start all over again. Myself i rolled on Nost Pvp somewhere around mid-late summer 2015 around 5-6 months after the server was released. Guess what i was there for all my guild's first MC kills and BWL kills and we killed nefarian at the same week as the Server first guilds. So 5-6 months behind and I could catch up whole server progression's. This nonsense need's to seriously stop. PVE will be absolutely perfect after they open fresh server because i think many that roll on fresh are playing there and not on PVP atm.

You understand that those CC crafted items will come to game after AQ at patch 1.11. Quote "This item was added in Patch 1.11 to help players with the nature damage-oriented encounters in Ahn'Qiraj." So they are pretty useless for tanks if they want to progress AQ NR fights when AQ actually opens. And for the drops that come from Emerald Dragons we all know that there is a small chance to actually get those with 70+ guilds and only few actually will be killing Emerald Dragons before AQ opens. + Savage Guard wasn't in the game yet and i can't remember if it will be available before opening of AQ

To OP:s question is retribution paladin good in PVE answer is No. It's that simple. If you wan't to talk about is it viable then yes. Bottom line is that same effort dd class vs ret paladin other pure-dps classes will win 99% of the time. You need to do more effort to accomplish same dps as rogues, warriors, maages and warlocks. But if you are willing to play with players that put less effort to the game than you are but play's good pve dps classes and do same dps with them then i think you can find a guild that allows u play retri as long as you get same results as other dd's. On horde side we had Smiter priest who used flask's in raids and potted and runed on CD and did same kind a dps as mid-level mages and warlocks and he was allowed to play his spec as he wanted. If our raid would require everyone to use flasks and go super tryhard on dps he would probably lose his spot but we don't care if we clear BWL 15 mins faster or not as long as we don't slack and have good time.

I still think many things should be kept as blizzlike as possible. I understand making some farming methods that only bring income from vendoring items down a little bit because some of them are class specific and some are not. Myself i cant tell if DM E was blizzlike on old nost i don't remember the instance at all might not even done that DM E + Mara + BRD lower and you have pretty much every class in game that can farm some resources inside of instances. The reason why instance farming is so popular in Nost was the high competition outside. Some classes are better in open world pvp and thus they have better chance to farm mats when it comes to competetent zones. Try to out-tag shaman or warrior who uses intecept (not so easy). So with that old DM E + Mara + BRD pretty much every class had possible way to farm gold without forming r13+ world pvp groups to kill dino's on the respawn.

Maybe its time to make the trusted crafter list again on the forums. These scammes are low life scum who cant earn gold enough so they need to scam others.

I have been farming a lot of DM E both on my mage and with warrior + healer combo and i disagree a bit with u. DM E bosses (war/heal) you disenchant most of the drops and sell them to players and maybe 10-20% of your income is vendoring trash depending if you get lot of weapon drops or not. On mage it differs too but i would say its around 50% stuff to AH and 50% from vendor gold. DM E drops many high end herbs, random blues, random greens and i actually have happen to got 2x BoE epics (Krol Blade and Hurricane). + Traveler's Backpacks. So its not only vendoring and making gold for nothing The question is if it was too easy i remember doing my lasher pack runs 5x in like 20-30 mins and there lot better mages who did it much faster. And the farming is not gone much harder now you just cant watch netlfix and half afk pull all the instance and aoe them down.

I wouldn't say shamans are that useless i mean purge is still good skill at low level brackets yes you are mostly on support duty but it makes it more fun than have only rogues + hunters + priest and 1 mage every BG. And to the OP priest is the most OP healer in this bracket i actually tryied a shadow priest on 19 bracket which wasnt as good as holy but was still so fun to play and certainly competitive. I remember mindblast crits 150-200 dmg and with blackout talented you can get 3 sec stuns what are kind a insane in lvl 19 bracket. I agree that hunter's and rogues are the best burst / overall dps but the fun thing in 19 bracket is that every class with some spec can made really useful and hard to enemy team to work around. Warlock fears maybe work for horde better because most horde play UD.

As well as people say the DM E farming is bad and needs to be nerfed, but i gotta say i would be in trouble without the herb's that income from DM E, i dont remember plaguebloom stack costing 60g in blizzlike vanilla servers either. With 10k peak and i assume at least 20-25k different ppl logging in daily the herbs are in so high demand that without DM E farming herb prices would make raiding with consumables pretty much impossible for most of the raiding population. i mean Dreamfoil is 10-20g stack same with Mountain Silversage and only thing keeping those prices low was AV weekends and DM E.

I don't think there will be any priority system i mean everyone should have same chance to play the game, many old pvp server player is going to roll fresh toon on new server and there the ques are gonna be lot worse and i dont think u can get prio system there either. Maybe one thing i would do would be kick afk players at lvl 1-10 out quickly after AFK maybe 5-10 minutes or something to stop immature ppl just for griefing the que system and staying afk in lvl 1 just to stop ppl to actually getting in to game. I mean lvl 1 or 60 if u are actively doing something in the world then by all means be there and enjoy!

I think this nonsense just has to stop why the hell is this "Fresh Server ppl" griefing the Old PvP server? We are gonna see even more there cryposts when fresh server starts when ppl with lvl 60's on old play with those and log on to fresh server with lvl 1 char and just afk? I mean at least they have something to do meanwhile. I have seen posts ENJOY YOU OLD CUCKS IM GONNA STAY LVL 1 AND AFK UNTIL WE GET THE FRESH SERVER!!! Who does this kind a attitude serve. If u want to play the fresh server wait till january or just play at the old server go hang out in IF and ORG and feel the community see all the fuss no reason to be salty towards the other servers. I mean this kind a фекал was usually only seen at the PVP section on nost forums

To OP im pretty sure if u roll horde Simonich is with his army at all starting zone taking care of new horde babies that will born.

In all seriousness its stupid to defend in either side that fresh server will not affect to many things in old nost pvp probably low lvl BG's will be less common, low level mats for crafting and stuff might get more expensive, harder to fill raid spots if someone quits. Then the new server will go many same things through in 1 year from now unless the HYPE that has been in private server community after nost went down carries them through the boredom of endless MC and BWL when most ppl will quit vanilla. As Pottu said somewhere majority of the players of nost pvp wasnt lvl 60 it really depends how many of those continue the journey as long with the fewer ppl who will start leveling in the old server. Fresh will probably be so packed first 6 months but then they will have the moment when population might start to fall. I still would have preferred 1 pvp 1 pve old or new (im ofc biased for old cuz i want my chars back) Kronos has shown us how bad decision is open 2 same playstyle servers in different progression states.

Tbh the reason i don't like this old pvp server / fresh server thing is that new servers of course will take most of the new players which will end up to old server not having much new players leveling. Then in worst case old server dies before naxx opens and Nost Old Pvp players don't want to roll on the fresh server since they feel like they have been let down. They will maybe reroll to crestfall. Then Crestfall grows big and it's the best server ever and it starts to affect to Elysium fresh pvp server population and that server dies before it reaches naxxramas. And then we have again new server that opens and crestfall dies. This is the cycle that has been going on private servers for years now. Nost returning and not mentioning anything about fresh pvp would have attracted huge amount of players and if that had been too much for old pvp THEN they should have announced the fresh pvp. Shortening the point: New servers will always steal some players cuz jumping to the new hype project is all about this community does not staying loyal to the project they started with. PS. I will continue my char progression on Nost i have done 1 -> 60 + MC for years in many fresh servers and at least in my opininon it is overrated.
