Historically in retail vanilla and even after, it was widely accepted that this really was the case. On private servers, I'm not really sure. However, there is a reason why many pvp'ers roll UD.

Don't aggro more than one mob higher level than you are, especially more that one lvl higher. That is if you don't enjoy running to your body for 5 minutes. There are less Spirit healers in vanilla than in retail.

Personally, the one event I'm mostly looking forward to is the opening of the AQ gates. It is by far the most spectacular event I've experienced in WOW ever. That includes all the xpacks.

Rolling on the fresh server no matter what. However, if I'm to understand correctly, WSG and AB will be available right off the bat. What is the planned rollout date for AV, ballpark? Yes, I am mostly a pvp'er.

Same thing happened to me and I also posted with no replies. Luckily for me, I was only lvl 23 and was planning to start on the new server anyway. What can I tell you.... free game means free from any accountability to your player base. Luckily I did not follow through with my initial urge to donate, or I'd be real pissed. GL.

I have 2 characters on the PVP server. A lvl 23 that was a transfer from Elysium at lvl 15 and a lvl 1. An hour ago I logged in to my 23 and while checking the AH, I got disconnected. Logged back in and got disconnected as soon as I started browsing the AH again. Several attempts resulted in a disconnected message at login screen and when I finally got back to the realm, my 23 was missing and I only had my lvl 1. After logging off and then back on again, I had no characters left at all. To top it all off, when I logged in to my account on the main site, I got the message that my account was successfully transferred (just like after redeeming my token) but had no characters in it. What's going on? If the account was hacked, then it's a weird one. Usually, characters don't get deleted. I tried to change my password by going to Control Panel and instead of my account info I got the below: If nothing else, I need to be able to change my account password. Ideas? Thanks.

Why do I get the feeling that I was playing WOW when you were playing find the mother's boob?

I was actually going to post something about the instability of the servers, so you beat me to it. I mean, I love classic WOW and I am grateful that this project is happening, but at the end of it all if the servers are this unstable, it is not really viable. Yeah, yeah.... I know. It's still a new server, blah blah blah. It's been 9 days. Enough time.

This one is simple. For some reason, certain email addresses do not receive confirmation emails. My main one for example ended in @socal.rr.com. I was not getting confirm emails either for the forum registration or for the game account. Solution is to create a different type of an email account. I created a Google account and got the registration email almost immediately.

I finally was able to get past getting immdiately disconnected at login, but now while I can get to the PVE realm que, when I select a different realm and select Nost PVP, it gets me to the PVP realm and gets stuck at the "retrieving character" option. I did have an Elysim toon that I transferred, so maybe there's an issue with that? He was low lvl so I dont much care for him, but I can't even get to being able to get into the PVP realm que. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.
