  1. The fact you're using the terms "created characters" tells much about how you plan to handle PR related issues. Call a cat a cat for once. You fucked up pretty hard with the admin gm commands shitstorm you pretended to have fixed once and for all with the maintenance. Obviously it's not the case. When are you going to acknowledge this is still going on and the extent of the issue is way bigger than you would want to admit ? Or simply that there's 1 guy running around doing whatever he wants still with admin privileges and that it requires the server to be down while you search for and find him ? How hard can it be to understand it has impacted and is still impacting the server in worst ways possible ? We've already noticed the consequences in both pvp and pve. Let me tell you, it still happened as of today. Why are you covering these accounts / players so hard ? Why are you deleting threads exposing compromised accounts / characters ? You obviously aren't capable enough of tracking them down yourselves. Community has to point huge fingers at these accounts / players through clickbait thread titles in order for you to react days later. Ingame tickets are not getting answered at all even though they relate to major issues. I've waited over 24 hours on a ticket. How many GMs are assigned to Anathema ? Yet you delete threads. If you aren't able to ensure this is fixed and not happening again, why refrain the community from doing it ?? Who will do if not the staff nor the community ??? Maybe Nost staff or yours should have listened when it was asked for VPN connections to game servers to not be allowed, plain and simple. Other projects have done it and it has shown great results. Allowing VPN connections is what started the plague you have to deal right now. Ban one account, they'll just make 5 more. You aren't fixing the problem at its roots and core.

    PVE DPS Human vs. Night Elf

    Your research are wrong. Someone just explained that the formula used on Nostalrius, which should be exactly the same here, is based on 315 weapon skill cap. The difference between 310 and 315 in terms of % of damage reduced upon glancing is completely marginal however. All in all it's a little edge you'll have if you're human. In the end, it won't matter because you are easily able to outperform and compensate it as NE/Dwarf/Gnome if you try hard just a little bit more than other rogues. Any raiding guild (including the "hardcore / top end" ones) will always value higher an outstanding (understand excellent performances, dedicated and with the proper raiding attitude) NE/Dwarf/Gnome than an average Human rogue. And this extends to every other class and race as well.
  3. Alrighty thx for your answers. Really good that you take into account the point Ohhgee made about CDs. As for the 12 secs opening after a sap, there are lots of things you can do within 12 secs on a sapped target. I guess it's not that common or bit too niche anyways :P

    This is not true at all for alliance anymore. Since the removal of the premade queue system on Nost, you don't have to wait 5 mins before getting a queue pop as a premade group. It is effectively making you gain from 2 to 3 more wins (depends on your efficiency) per hour. You will get around 7 wins each hour (taking a 8 min average game time) with the new system, while it was maximum 4-5 with the old queue system. With the account sharing / br1 spot selling / wintrading premade being out of the equation, the br1 caps are now 50% lower of what they used to be on alliance. And that's in a system where farming honor is WAY easier. With a consistent group and schedule you should be able to reach "high" amounts of honor matching br1 ones (being lower and lower since relaunch). It's way closer to 10-12 hours. You'll cap by sunday. I'm pretty sure it's possible to go br1 by only doing 8 effective hours of BGs / day atm. Of course this is causing an even lower br2 cap, which ends up creating an awful situation for the future rankers where you'll have way too many players needing/wanting a br1 spot compared to how many spots the bracket actually has. It's like trying to put 50 cows in a closed space designed for maximum 15. Expect a nice shitstorm of cap breaks, loose canons, mark bombing, total loss of trust in between rankers and whatnot soon. It's a completely different story for horde though.

    Anathema honor reset

    I fail to understand your issue here. The players you're apparently competing with are also affected by downtime. If you were behind honor wise before the server shutdown announcement, you most likely wouldn't have been ahead of them anyways ? Behind on monday evening > Reset happens on wednesday > you already lost, no ? Also, to add something productive, I suggest you just go as hard and early as possible in order to always remain 150-200k ahead in the future. Which is easily doable when you see the quality of the players you're competing with, both against small groups of alliance or in pug games.

Maybe you should increase prize breakdown a little bit. 50% of prize pool seems a bit low. Some players would not bother to participate without a higher possible gain (those rolling on thousand gold already for instance). Considered 60 or 70 % ? Would attract way more participants (and you only have 3 days until the event). Any particular reason for "Don't sap at the start." ? I can't see why this rule is here, especially if you're allowing Polymorph / Fear and whatnot for other classes. You should allow sapping (it's a core part of the class gameplay and duel plan) since the rest of hard CC is also allowed, but precise the opponent must be engaged/damaged within 20 secs or something of duel start. What's happening in case of high server lag situations / crashes during a duel ?
  8. I don't see why it should not be allowed. It's a simple use of game mechanics. MQG working on herbing was considered legit. Might as well allow Bop since it's just making lotus rush in AV fair game. For instance it was allowed to MC cap / MC an opposite faction player carrying a flag in WSG and BoP him in order to make him drop it. Considered legit usage of game mechanics. Have you tried issuing a ticket in game ? You'd probably get a GM answer faster.

    Adding a screenshot showing how the reflection mechanic behaves currently on the server and why the "no reflection if spell is already flying" doesn't make any sense according a combat log chain of events : (hi Goth :p) Will add a screenshot displaying the AoE immunity not working properly soon(tm). Long term memory never fails you. Please find below a perfect video proof that reflection should work with flying spells. Video is from retail vanilla, server Archimonde EU (FR), by the most famous french pom pyro mage, Gegon from <Ascendance> : The Last Ovski Part 2, at 7:35 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WVthFqt_UsE 7:37 Fierce cow in sight. Bald gnome press IWIN macro (including Presence of Mind - next spell cast is instant). 7:39 Bald gnome press Fireball + Fireblast buttons. Fat cow uses Fire Reflector (notice how the fiery animation of the reflector has not even ended when the Fireball connects with him). Fat cow reflects both the Fireball and the Fireblast. - "Renvoie" in white means "reflect" 7:40-41 Bald gnome gets damaged from reflected Fireball & Fireblast. - In combat log, "Votre Boule de feu est renvoyé par Mav" > "Your Fireball is reflected by Mav" - In combat log, "Votre Trait de feu est renvoyé par Mav" > "Your Fireblast is reflected by Mav" 7:42 Bald gnome dies (but they will rule Azeroth soon). 7:50 Fat cow BMs.

    Well, this is actually proving my 2nd point, not the 1st one. Gnome casts Fireball. Undead trinkets the poly when Fireball cast is ending. Undead casts Fire Reflector at the same time Fireball is landing (watch closely, he gains the reflector buff bit after the casts ended and when Fireball is flying*). Fireball gets reflected (gnome even gets the baseline fireball debuff). At exactly 11:22, he pressed Fire Reflector, doesn't have the reflection buff yet and the other mage fireball cast IS ENDED (just spam read/stop on youtube button and check the cast bar + undead buffs every time you paused). At 11:23, he gains the reflection buff and the fireball is flying towards him. The fireball is then reflected upon connecting with undead. Different case but there are also example of reflection with the buff being up before the end of a cast at 16:43 (Human casts Frostbolt, Undead gains Frost Reflector, Frostbolt flies and gets reflected) and 18:36 (Gnome casts Fireball, Undead trinkets poly, gains reflection buff few miliseconds before cast ends and reflects it upon landing). 18:36 also showcases how debuffs (from talents, not baseline like fireball dot and frostbolt slow which are reflected*) linked to reflected spells should work. Undead reflects the 2 fire spells toss at him but he does get afflicted by Ignite even though reflection buff is still up. *See 19:32, same example of reflection before casts end. 19:10 is yet another proof of reflection of targeted spell, but this time for one without any travel time. He gains reflection buff at the same time the fear cast is done. There is barely 0.2 / 0.1 sec left on fear cast bar when he activates Shadow Reflector. Yet, by the time his character actually gains the buff (just like the 11:22-23 example), the cast has ended. 3:40 in the 2006 Laintime video also proves how reflection should work for spells whose cast is already finished. He gains Frost Reflector few miliseconds after the spell goes off the mage hands and reflects it. This behavior matches the idea of the resist/immune/relect/etc. check should be done once whatever cast connects to a target. There is a reason why you are able to resist or reflect a hunter's freezing trap by using Frost Reflector and walking on the trap. The trap cast happened way before you gained the reflection buff, yet you will still reflect it. See Grim - Path of Blood at 8:28 for instance. TLDR Until proven otherwise (don't bother with "it worked like this on peenix" please, it's worthless) with retail vanilla videos, you can safely assume the reflection should work - for targeted spells, even if reflection buff is gained during the spell travel/flying time to its target, - for non targeted spells such as traps ; but will only make you immune to AoE effects (howl of terror, frost nova, cone of cold, etc).

    Authentication is real enboss of game. When are we getting updated on the issue ? Pop on each server is not going upwards since the "fix" happened 2 hours ago. Is this due to fresh server login shenanigans ?

    How it currently works on Nost PvP: - You will not be immune to AoE spells. Example: you use frost reflector, mage casts frost nova, you will be novaed instead of being immune to it. - You will only reflect targeted spells cast on you after you used the reflector. Example: Wlock casts Death Coil, you use shadow reflector before it lands on you, you will get afflicted by Death Coil. - Reflecting a freezing trap does not freeze the hunter sometimes (and no resists shenanigans included). How it should work: - Immunity to AoE spells of the relevant school of magic for the duration of the reflector buff. - Targeted and "flying" spell casts on you after you used reflector should be reflected if they haven't landed yet. The game is supposed to do the resistance/immunity/etc. check once a spell lands on a target and not while it is being cast. This is not obvious for everyone but please keep in mind a spell be interrupted/canceled during its casting time and vanished when connecting to a target. Also its result will be affected by the casters' stats before the spell actually lands. For instance using a trinket like spellpower ZHC when a dmg spell (direct or DoT) is flying should still improve the damage it will deal when connecting to its target. There is a way bigger issue in that regard on the server. Spell casting and how it interacts with immunity and resistance effects is completely fucked up. A mob casting an AoE fear will sometimes fear a warrior even though he used Berserker Rage during that cast time. It looks pretty close to this previous issue (now solved) when it was possible to finish and apply a fear, a polymorph, etc. cast even though you get stunned/cced before its end. Or when a paladin would get seduced by a wlock succubus even though he's bubbled.

    Unless the stun effect of the nade is required, you should use Goblin Sapper Charges if you can be in the middle of the mobs. If you can't, use Crystal Charges instead of iron or thorium nades or w.e dynamite.

    It looks like a system has been implemented to counter gold sellers/buyers by AUTO MUTING (for around 1 hour I think) any character using the words buy and/or sell and/or gold in the same message. With maybe some other criteria(s) I haven't found yet. Basically you can't tell a friend that you were grinding gold to buy a fancy mechanostrider without getting a 1 hour long global mute. Quite hard to keep it in mind when you're having a conversation with someone for buying an item I guess. I don't know if you can just ask to get unmuted (by the time your ticket is answered the mute times out anyways). Anyone noticed same stuff ?

  22. It's the least cramped and the largest of the 4 locations. Just think of how wide the mountains are spreading compared to the entrances of Ashenvale and Duskwood. Feralas is surrounded by water and has a very small area to deal with the dragon, which is even worse for shrooms.
