Final Itemization Update for pvp gear
Slicy replied to Slicy's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This has already been discussed in the past. There should be a minimum current pvp rank to enter Champion's Hall and its horde counterpart I believe and I don't think it is the case at the moment. Elysium project does not seek to recreate the history of vanilla to a 100% extent (trust me you really don't want that). Else we would be rocking dogshit talent trees and other kind of blizzlike shenanigans which are nothing but real pain to implement and absolutely awful to play with. Population would be garbo (and they probably wouldn't even do it considering how the tasks at hands are way enough workload already it seems). You wouldn't even bother playing here without the non blizzlike dynamic respawn timer mechanic. Anathema/Nost PvP isn't a fresh server. Things were discussed, designed and decided for it with very good reasons by both Nost staff and later Elysium staff. Players were aware of these decisions, took part in the discussions and that's what matters here. Anathema player base got told and confirmed several times a balance would be kept between gear obtained with PvP ranks and the one obtained with PvE. Not sticking to that decision essentially is backstabbing the few remaining players who actually cared about these things and sticked around (despite being cucked during the last itemization debacle). This thread isn't about the fresh servers or the yet again bugged Thunderfury proc. It's a suggestion / request for an official answer about what is going to be done or not for the final pvp update on Anathema, in relation to what has been said at server relaunch, been announced January 5th and confirmed several times after that. Sticking to the plan and showing consistency in decisions being made about such game related topics is what make a player base/community stay around and end up in a successful project or not. -
It has nothing to do with just 1 guild that ppl like to bash on/make drama out of for literally no reason or how the staff chose to design Scepter chain/gates opening. You are missing the entire point. Almost nobody cares about the scepter/mount : it's a meme for nerds with too much time at their hands. Player base is a huge mass of raiding guilds which mainly want to experience the raid itself and all the content coming with the patch. Gating it with unrealistically scaled materials numbers was the actual bummer. Ppl wanted to participate and experience the content, including a legit WE. In case you were still clueless about it, around 4-5 guilds just on ally side (no idea for horde side) simply disbanded and/or had to merge with others due to too many players going inactive / losing any kind of interest into the project after WE numbers were announced and 1 week in without a word about it. Design choices about the gates opening and scepter chain have nothing to do with the mass of players (we're talking 95% of the player base here) who realized they can't even take part into WE event since it was very poorly tailored and made impossible. Ask around to your guild mates and friends how many of them would have took part, farmed and contributed by investing time/gold into WE if it was to be completed within 1-2 months instead of 6, 9 or even more for some materials with a re-spawn time gating.
-
We had warned countless times about the negative consequences of opening new servers, having an unrealistic war effort scaling, etc BEFOREHAND. If you think players are the roots of the WE issues, you're either mistaken, not playing on the server or just blind/in denial. Every raiding guild was willing to participate and invest time for the War Effort. The numbers were just made without any intention of WE being completable in a reasonable time-frame. Even with a 12K pop it wouldn't be possible. Legit mistake/ignorance/taking us for fools when you do +2200% on certain materials which are scarce and way more valuable (the mass won't turn in what they can sell for 4-5g / stack), regardless of how much of these were stock piled beforehand. Adding a game event we have extensive, detailed and complete information about how it was during retail and customizing it shamelessly to the point where entire raiding guilds leave the project altogether is clearly not "doing a good job", no.
-
Why not just fix it with 2x numbers on each materials ? Something closer to how it was. Auto-completion is a super bad custom idea. It just feels like you're gonna keep some numbers super high but say "all is well" since you add auto-completion and it remains as delayed as possible ??

Is that u Potato ? Where have u been ? I even commissioned CIA and KGB to find ur body in Nepal.

I can confirm it also happened on Anathema during Feb. Seen it first hand as a horde raid with the tag was getting wiped out and once the boss was resetting, another horde raid had retagged it without any HP regained by the boss. I believe the 1st horde raid which got cucked by this had reported the issue. You can also just try to reproduce that reset-retag bug with no HP regain with any random mob out there btw. Yet another reset happened for absolutely no reason (boss was getting taunted after every TP) to an ally raid, and it was way way closer to spawn point than in his video. It has also been killed a lot of times in between these 2 bridges without any problem so the distance from spawn point is completely irrelevant (and it patrols very close to that bridge btw just fyi).
-
Remove that so called anti-kiting mechanic if it even exists. It's complete dogshit. Kazzak and Azuregos are supposed to be kitable. EDs are not. Reported that with retail videos during early February already. Seems the consequences of an useless and not working as intended "anti-kiting" mechanic are getting bit more know now. Teremus, Anachronos, Azuregos, even fkin Omen are to be kited. If you are to bad to kill 1 hunter kiting an outdoor boss, you don't deserve it to reset and try get a tag on it. You already have "phasing points" all over the 2 continents which were added long ago to reduce lag with massive active population. This is way enough as an "anti griefing" crap.
-
Kazzak has not been "summoned" to Blasted Lands. He entered Azeroth through the Dark Portal during the 2nd Burning Legion Invasion that he commanded. He is trapped in Azeroth ever since, retreated to the Tainted Scar and now seeks a way to reactivate the Dark Portal in order to regain Outland.

No the logical perspective is if you have the last versions of blue and epic pvp gear, you should also have the last versions of the weapons. As I said, armor pieces from a later patch have a way bigger impact and the huge amount of R10/R12/R13 players should not get rewarded more than those who pushed higher, it's quite simple. It's not even providing pve upgrades which matter since : - Currently available gear is on par / better - It concerns an amount of (active) players you can count with 1 hand. Saying it will change anything to "racing to complete AQ" is a complete nonsense ;)

Raid logging inevitably happens when you are raiding MC/BWL for over year(s), which is the case for the bunch that wouldn't raid log if they were given the opportunity to take part in an event suitable for the server. For now, what has been added to it within months is mainly different kind of fancy wbosses bugs and a custom/retarded war effort without the quests it should even come up with, on top of itemization patches mistakes that wasted time for both players and staff. -
roughly how much of a disadvantage will i be if i dont go human for fury endgame PVE.

You would still equip C'thun gloves over Edgemaster's, even as dwarf/elf/gnome/greenskin/etc. Weapon skill is over rated. Doing 90% glancing dmg instead of 95% is not that big of a difference, especially when the more you are geared, the better your rage flow and therefore you will do way less whites with your main hand. Heroic Strike is to be used as much as possible without rage starving yourself and this is where your Off Hand rage gen matters a lot. Off Hand swings glancing damage getting buffed a tad bit is the actual end result of more weapon skill. In practice, extra weapon skill past 305 or 310 as a fury is neat, that's undeniable. But keep in mind it will only make you do few % more damage on 40% of your white swings, which themselves only represent 40-50% of your damage output, and this is supposed to be lower and lower the more you're geared/get gut. Now look at your gloves options and realize the overall damage boosts and stats (on every source of your damage output, hello execute and BT crits) you are missing by using edgemasters. TLDR : Roll the race you want to play because you like it, not because of a super marginal glancing blow dmg increase. Tryhard more than others (if you care about endgame dps consequences of racials, I would assume you will consum to the core and do as best as you can). Equip the best weapons you can get regardless of their type and spam dem buttons. -
Get a clue of what has been decided by the projects staff in order to balance pvp & pve gear. Come back once you are not clueless anymore.

It's one of the numerous reasons and probably the 2nd most decisive one. -

Not true. Most people are raid logging or already left. No guild is contributing to War Effort since we got cucked about it and will remain so for some more time it seems. Ppl do not wish to turn in materials when the numbers remain completely absurd. That is the answer you will get if you ask any player on the server atm. "couple of weeks" > You clearly have no idea what you are talking about. There is no "doing the war effort". The numbers needed to be changed as soon as the player base outlined they were totally ridiculous which was barely 2 days after it was added. We are now reaching the "intended 3-4 weeks" between WE and actual Gates opening. -

That must be the most terrible idea so far. The direct consequence of this would be a simple bailing out project from literally every (remaining) guild on Anathema. The only solution was to never create the problem. Which was created by opening 2 more servers when project already had 2 to handle. -
Make no mistake, we will be tested at every turn !!

Wait you are QQing about lvl 60 BGs having few premades, but you are not lvl 60 yet ? There is good in both pugging and grouping (I've done both and would redo both again). Those who tell you otherwise are just butthurt they got stomped few times in a row or cba playing with other players. Nothing prevents you from grinding the real way aka you pug and then for last ranks you have to be somewhat minimum organized. Some nerds manage to keep pugging their last ranks even.
-
Ah I see. Well I wouldn't mind bigger HP on bosses tbh even though it wouldn't change much I think. You are def right, everyone is having way more fun by taking "risks" and challenging limits of a raid than playing it too safe, especially when outgearing content.
-
You are not having fun in BGs because you are simply too carebear and whiny to put a fight and make your own groups. Stop queuing for group based content if you can't be asked finding few likeminded players who want to play the BGs and win. Anyways HF queuing for content you seem to not even enjoy because you get shit on. Idc what server you play on but if you can't enjoy solo queuing nor group queuing, your only solution is to play another game instead of crying on forums.

@Duality I have died a maximum of 5 times by my own mistake since BWL got released. There is a fine limit between being too reckless and growing balls. It's not ignoring mechanics at all. More like understand them and figure how to counter instead of standing in the fire when you have 500hp, if you know what I mean x) Doing good dps during phase 1 removes a lot of stress on your healers which let them top faster players getting shadowbolted. You really don't need to LoS... Get better healers if so. I do need thistle Tea though Alrik it's not my fault if Rage pots have dogshit mats :P
-
Enough with the retarded suggestions already. When are you going to realize Battlegrounds are meant to be played and to coordinate with other players ? Where did you read solo queue should be the norm for 10v10 and 15v15 based content ? Getting stomped by ranking premades is perfectly normal. Vanilla is about the survival of the strongest. You are weak/alone > you get shit on. Man up and make your own group or go back to retail/LoL/whatever solo queue friendly game you were playing. The "way of playing" will never be the exact same as retail vanilla. Game knowledge is too advanced. Players know how to group up and work towards the same objectives, as they should in a mmorpg. You either deal with it or stfu.

I use 1 GSPP and it's way enough. Actually gaining gold from raiding, every week. Spending less gold in consumables than I gain from boss kills. The ones who burnout are those in guilds who get 200 deaths / raid evening for whatever reason, repoping every consumable several times per BWL. Use GSPP and see it as a (cheap) death proof investment on Nef. If you prefer dying from random shadowbolt spam, be my guest. Same shit as GFPP really.
-
So you were rolling for gold to settle a different with someone you don't know, the guy decided to not pay you and you went ahead informing us on forums about it ? Mmmm, I think the conclusion is : never roll for gold with ppl you can't trust. Do it with your guildies and not strangers.
