  1. Fixed a typo. I haven't read nor heard of a single player in a casual guild in Anathema disagreeing with or even just complaining about not having world buffs.
  2. Well summed up. Seems all guilds raiding Naxx have a very large majority of players in favor of keeping them disabled either forever or at least for way longer than initially planned. However a part of players would also enjoy being able to test and push their limits on the above mentioned "easy bosses" when it comes to dps, raid dps, kill times and whatnot. I personally think there is no need for them to keep a "competitive" raiding atmosphere. But I do see the appeal of having buffs enabled for these parsing reasons. Perhaps a good alternative would be to enable them again in a near future for certain wings (following a retail progression for instance) while keeping them disabled for the last wing. Saph/KT and to some extent 4HM (the execution of the encounter and gear on specific classes has much more impact than on other bosses, thus decreasing the importance of buffs a bit) are truely challenging without buffs while remaining in the reach of most guilds considering the gear they have for it. Adding world buffs for these 2 or 3 would simply make them go from actual rewarding challenges (whose difficulties naturally decrease overtime as players get more gear) to simple loot pinatas. Some projects go with tuning hp dmg and whatnot, most of the time ending up being poor design choices with no actual calculations behind them. I do not think this is the proper answer seeing how the content remains relevant just by removing these world buffs.

    It was disabled indeed. So the player aspiring to become Neutral with Brood of Nozdormu had to be looting every single carapace fragment. I believe this was to delay the gates opening a little bit. Turned out it wasn't enough to prevent players from completing a scepter in a timely fashion.

    Fuck off with the remove raid queuing suggestions. Just because you suck and/or can't be asked to play with more players doesn't mean others need to be negatively impacted by it and not be able to play together in a mmorpg. If you are really fed up with getting steam rolled by premades, stop queuing, go play some other game or keep on feeding us with your tears on forums. Nothing prevents you from getting 9 / 14 other nerds to contest established premades until you defeat them. That's how it should work.

On a more serious note, if staff does have the "tech" to make a 10k+ server lagfree and enjoyable for players at peak times then I don't see why we should all be playing different realms when all we want in the end is to play the same game. United we stand, divided we fall. Nostalrius Begins managed, unintentionally, to unite the vanilla community which was playing on different projects and servers over the span of years. Right now this community is divided across several realms and those who opted for fresh realm(s) realized mistakes were made by both previous staff and themselves or simply didn't even have the choice if they wanted to play a character (looking at you ZK refugees who rolled there because queue times simply suck hard). You start to hear everyday Elysium realm players complaining about farming MC mindlessly with awful loot tables and close to no other content. While they have been warned it would be progressive patch releases, they might have not realized what it actually meant. Not everyone has already been through farming MC (and BWL) for years in the past like the majority. But I'm quite confident close to nobody is enjoying playing a realm with all the mistakes Blizzard had eventually fixed. Go explain me what's good or enjoyable in not having AV, in having BoP Black Lotus, in having no spelldmg from raid drops, etc and waiting for too many months or even years to experience next raid tiers. Being forced to handle 3-4 realms on different patches, itemization, db, hardware, content to release, etc. is adding a quite consistent and tedious workload on all departments of staff as well which could be used into working on content quality, bug fixing and development instead. However, please only consider this if you are confident in your ability to provide a lagfree experience for 1 pvp and 1 pve realm (there is a need for a pve realm, it should remain filled and Darrowshire is doing just fine while being less "progressed" than Anathema). The work and time spent by Nost staff to fix lag (nobody was enjoying the server at 10K pop with 5 secs delay at peak hours everyday) and add things like dynamic respawns, phasing into every single Azeroth zone, etc shall not go to waste. You've got in your hands the fate of what becomes of this community. Player base had already warned that splitting it into 4 different realms was barely a short term solution at best to a short term problem with nothing positive in the long run and hopefully you are realizing it right now. Listen this time around. Build bridges, not walls.
  8. When is pvp video with dark edge of memenity ? Do you manually screenshot everytime you pk or is it an addon doing it for you ? Sounds tedious.
  9. WTS pro tip for stomach stacks bug thing. Think of how many wipes and consums it would save, come up with a real offer.
  10. You don't need flasks on melees with already over 5, 6, 7 or even 8k HP for C'thun or Huhuran. You don't need any flask on healers either. You can kill C'thun with 3 weakened phases. You can kill C'thun without any world buff. "Titans raid wide" and full world buffs is not gonna make you get any better at defeating the encounter. For a progression kill maybe (it's possible without any really right now considering how the fight is) but are you gonna make 40 ppl use titans every week to kill 1 boss ? That's overkill and you will burn out your ppl more than anything. If you can't kill C'thun because you had 3 deaths, reconsider how you do the fight. It's doable with 5+ deaths after CRs used and 4091 resistances on every type of tentacle of the fight and in 3 phases.

On January 5th an official announcement has been made concerning the final update for PvP gear : https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/30420-elysium-pvp-—-itemization-update/ "Final PVP Update The final PVP update will be 2 weeks after the release of the Ahn’Qiraj launch for all realms. The stat updates for the Nostalrius PVP realm will not be reverted." This decision was in line with the specific itemization choices that were made, kept and confirmed for Anathema/Nost PvP which aim at balancing PvP and PvE gear in the best possible way. We are now over 2 weeks after 1.9 has been added to Anathema. We have yet to be precised if "2 weeks" meant 2 weeks after addition of 1.9 or 2 weeks after AQ actually being opened. Currently Anathema has the last update (understand final stage of stats) on PvP armor pieces and weapons (which is on par with currently available item drops from raid content) but is missing the last 6 few weapons (1 hand healing, fast melee weapons, etc.) for each faction. For both PvP and PvE purposes, a lot of the current rank 14 items are on par/slightly better/outclassed by common raid drops (especially healer and caster weapons). This is the reason it was decided to add the complete final pvp itemization update (including the few more weapon choices) with/during 1.9. Therefore the "final PVP update" mentioned in the topic should include the last few rank 14 weapon choices (none of them have relevant impacts/unfair advantages compared to raid drops and this is concerning 0.001% of the player base). If that decision is not being respected, you might as well act accordingly by nerfing the PvP armor pieces and weapons back to their previous state which means reverting what has been set in stone by the announcement linked above. It is completely illogical to give advantages to players who went/going r10/12/13 but punish those who pushed/push higher. It also doesn't make any sense to have an incomplete final pvp update. You either finish and add it entirely or you officially state the reasons why you are not doing it. There is no compromise that would make any sense for this case. You either get the full last pvp itemization update as decided and planned, or you revert it entirely. The recent debacle with pvp items getting removed from players' inventories, random nerfs on stats etc. has shown these things matter for the player base on Anathema. This is the exact same issue as what has been recently decided concerning Thunderfury's proc rate : to make the weapon usable and worthy of how hard it is to get while not being too overpowered. Like the final PvP itemization update or the BG queue system, this has been thought over countless times by several different staff of 2 different projects with inputs from players concerned or not about it and the least worst options were identified and you stated you would stick to it. Currently available rank 14 weapons, even with last stage when it comes to their stats, are WORSE than available raid drops for nearly every class (there is 1 class fully benefitting from it at the moment). The last 6 weapons are just making it fair game for the very few remaining High Warlords and Grand Marshals on the server compared to what every raiding guild is farming since over a year now. It is also a necessity when it comes to letting these players have different options when it comes to what to use in PvP and PvE (which is the sole purpose of what this last pvp gear update actually intended to bring to the game). If you need any explanations regarding these items compared to raid drops in 40 and 20 man available since over a year (like not giving rank 14 casters and healers the options to use a 1 hander - hello Skull of Impending Doom - over a 2 hander ; or why a rank 14 rogue is forced to use a 2.90 as offhand for PvE - which is garbo for obvious reasons - or a 2.00 dagger for PvP while MC/BWL drop a faster one(s) with on par stats) on a server where players min max both PvP and PvE, I will gladly do it. A list of the few item IDs to be added to those 2 faction NPCs can also be provided if it would help. There is a reason why Blizzard added these weapons*. They were meant to fill gaps in the rank 14 rewards to better fit the different classes and specs play styles once they started to understand the game and how it is being played (same argument as to why we play with 1.12 talents here : it's quite bad before that). You already have last version of stats on every piece of pvp armor and weapon. Why prevent Grand Marshals and High Warlords from having more versatility in what should be available to them to play properly ? * "New rank 14 weapons have been added! In order to give casters the same diversity of selection that melee currently enjoy we have added new caster items that are available to be purchased by Grand Marshals and High Warlords." This is the entire point of the pvp itemization update. How is that gonna have a negative impact on the server when it barely concerns 84 remaining active rank 14 who are those who spent most time in there. For all I know it would, at most, incite very few more players to go for ranks, which is anything but a bad consequence. Not only the item power between rank 14 weapons and currently available raid drops are on par at most, but not adding the last weapons would drag down the ranking scene even more. **If the top end rewards of ranking do not keep up with raiding drops, there will be less and less rankers which in the end is gonna entirely kill Battlegrounds participation. Casters and Healers already had very few incentive to go for maximum rank. The last weapons added rather sooner than never would revitalize the currently dying ranking and BG scene on Anathema. When you have no ranking scene, BGs don't pop at anytime of the day or night. With that in mind, when non rankers queue for a BG, if they get a 2 hours queue time, they will just go do something else and/or get back to raid logging. No ranking scene > No more active BG action > PvP dead. Especially when the RP calculation issues are still around, which are being brought up by 3-4 rankers (for the most part gave up because of it) every single week since 2 months. ** = Yet another reason why it has been decided to add these few items during 1.9 and not during 1.11, twice, by 2 different projects and several dev teams. There is a limit to pvp oriented players' resiliency (pun intended). Let's not find it out.

    Human = Dwarf > NE = Gnome. Weapon skill is quite good for better TPS. But at some point Stoneform will be better than it if you look at what's up in the last 2 raid tiers. That racial is underestimated (probably because of ignorance of what bleeds/poisons debuffs you can dispel and be immune to with it). Escape Artist has way more utility than people would give it credit to in pve (dispelling a Hamstring on C'thun as an example) and 1% dodge is not too shabby either. TLDR : Roll what you'd like to play depending on looks and melee animations. If you are a good tank, nobody cares what race your character is. All of them have their perks.
  15. You don't need flasks to clear AQ. If you're using 2-3 flasks for 1 AQ, you're doing it wrong. Nobody forcing you to do BWL speedruns either. Suck it up if you want to chug flasks when you don't need to. You said it yourself, spawn rate of lotus is quite fast anyways. Alternatively you can stop being enslaved by market prices, go out in Azeroth and get herbs yourself.

  17. Rename you thread as said above. Most of its information are valid/arguable for MC/ZG/BWL content and patches. As this is not a sub forum dedicated to 1 realm but rather to an entire class, it currently has wrong statements on most of the important matters (such as Talents which are completely different for the real end game content and depending on available gear). - "END GAME" can be misleading. One can consider end game to be the last 2 raid tiers of the game or just all the 40 man raids depending on pov. - Remove "EXPERIENCED tanks". It serves no purpose and I'm quite sure most really experienced tanks would not 100% agree with most of what's in the guide. Something like "Snide's TPS Guide for MC/BWL/ZG." would be way more accurate to what it is and clearer for everyone. Or funnier like "Snide's Compendium of Threat Building in MC." PS : Loled at the guy evaluating TPS epeen with tank dmg done to bosses on an inaccurate website x)
  18. Shouldn't the intended behavior be that to be able to re-tag a boss, it should enter a reset status in the first place. Said reset status implying an evade mode until the mob reaches its original spawn location ? In that case then upon resetting we should not be able to re-tag mobs. Things bit different if you fight it on top of its spawn point I assume because he would reach its original position before getting enough HP ticks to reg to full ? Seen the retag stuff occur on Nost PvP/Anathema far away from the spawn point and it's very lame, for everyone.

    Back to the top, where it belongs. Server firsts scepter, C'thun and full AQ40 clear. Fastest and cleanest AQ40 run on the realm so far. Still looking for an amazing Paladin. Must be able to handle and assimilate a severe amount of memes per week.
