Yes, you'll surely get a demon hunter and a bag full of candies in the future TBC because you're a special boy who deserves the best. :-)

A char-transfer service has the precise purpose of bringing a playerbase on a particular realm for a definite reason which is related to the realm's health. If a fresh TBC realm is destined to be highly-populated (see Felmyst), what would be the reason to allow a char-transfer from the best vanilla realm? Do you want to save the precious "work" which you put in your character? Stay vanilla and enjoy it.
-
Why not starting fresh and allow copy-char only if population number isn't high enough?

Fact 1: on Elysium, it was once possible to login at any hour of the day and easily find groups for instances and run BGs with insta-que. I'm on elysium from the beginning and I still level different characters: Realm population is now heavily toward endgame. Realms get old and activity in lower tiers diminish quite fast. A fresh TBC realm will last longer because ---> more content, no skip. Fact 2: what Blizzard did (and does) with its expansions is to please its (paying) customer base. Elysium realm started as a Vanilla realm and there were no PTE promises. A fresh TBC will be a 100% success (as it was evident with Felmyst) and even you will end up playing there. Whining is the music of the angels which accompanies success. Fact 3: the stronk-ness of you geared character is not an absolute value, but it's relative to how many people have the same gear. The "work" (fuck this word, it's a game) which you put into your character is valuable proportionally to how many hours the other players put into the same game. A TBC with 75% of 60+ player will prevent a good number of new players from joining the community and the realm will have a shorter life-span.

I'd like a fresh TBC realm without transfers from old vanilla: it would be a 100% success (see felmyst 5hrs) and it will have a greater longevity as a realm.

Apparently, we're limited in numbers. You can't advertise Vanilla WoW as a brand new game. New players join Legion or modern MMORPGs. There's a static number of vanilla lovers, imho.

Realms get old. The content is fun, but limited and we need people an all tiers to feel that Azeroth is alive. Even on Elysium it starts to get difficult to run BGs in lower tiers " 'cause in WoW, the real game is end-game"... which is precisely the mentality which leads to Legion, the retail trail and all of its consequences. The first symptom is---> 80% of the population have at least 1 character at level 60. Believe it or not, the very thing which keeps people playing WoW is the same thing that people openly hate: leveling. From time to time, as a community we need to start fresh servers. imho.

So, what about that Felmyst core looking for a home
Fladrif replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Why not? Not even Nostalrius gave away the entirety of its work... only a small portion. -
I'm my opinion, your gear plays a great role in how you are going to play the hybrid class. For example, if you go full feral but favor +int +stre, you'll feel quite hybrid.

So, what about that Felmyst core looking for a home
Fladrif replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Imho, we should collect some ca$h with donations and then buy Felmyst's core from Gummy. He has no reasons to give it away for free. -
Elysium only you can save TBC

Why not collect money from the community with donations to actually buy Gummy's project? -

World Of Warcraft is it an addiction?
Fladrif replied to George Colby's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
It's an addiction for me. I paused my game a month ago because of some RL stuff that kept me busy... ... and now I feel free from the addiction. I would like to login again, but I'm somewhat scared by how much I can be attached to playing WoW. Playing less than 3/4 hrs a day is not enough for me :-(( And dungeon's time is calculated separately (+ 2/3 hrs). -
general question to some hordies
Fladrif replied to sphare's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Personally, when I play a game (chess, soccer, etc...) it's not about making someone red faced angry. -
Currently, hordes dominate the Elysium wPvP due to population unbalance and they use to camp 24hrs a day a few "key" FM like Burning Steppes' one and wpl. Essentially, you fly there to be ganked while you're still worth no honor ! There are not enough alliance wPvPers to counter this: could it be possible to add a few elite guards or maybe add a boss or two ?
-
If you don't play alliance, you have no idea of how bad is this. Horde players camp dungeons' entrances 24h/7d and that's fine because we can fight there. Just protect the FMs a little bit more: they have families and children. With a more balanced population, we wouldn't have this problem.

How ruining another's game experience has something to do with fun? You don't get any benefits whatsoever in killing that grey player. -
general question to some hordies
Fladrif replied to sphare's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Killing red ---> honorable killing yellow ---> it's your duty killing green --> it's evil killing grey ---> it's idiotic What kind of pleasure you can get in ruining other players' experience? -
Great video! !! :-)

FUTURE PLAN: Absorb Zeth'Kur Into ALL THREE REALMS! (Not Just Merge To Elysium)
Fladrif replied to Dizeliun's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
This is an exceptional measure to keep a portion of vanilla community from leaving. To give a freedom of choice is to prevent overpopulated realms. Do you think it's not fair because other realm's players don't have the same privileges? Maybe, but none will stop playing just for that.
