DPSMate - A combat analyzation tool

If a mage buff intellect to a warlock and that warlock uses those extra mana points to cast an additional shadow bolt, should that shadow bolt be attributed to the mage since w/o the mage, the warlock couldn't cast that extra-spell? If a paladin buff +armor to a warrior and that warrior take X % less damage because of that, should that damage reduction be counted as healings? If a druid buff + 3% crit chance, should 3% of crit damage done by the group be attributed to him? Imho, measuring dps is retarded. Play at your best and have fun.

Su Elysium è attivo in ogni tier.

  7. The high priestess, Tyrande Whisperwind announced Wednesday 9 actions to protect its citizens in the Eastern kingdoms following last Trumpnado's campaign. The measures come as Elven communities, including documented and undocumented nelf immigrants, have expressed concern over an uptick in racially motivated attacks in the week since Trumpnado's thread. "Countryman, these are moments of uncertainty. Be calm, do not fall for provocations and don't let yourself be fooled," Elven Secretary of Foreign Relations Priestess A'moora said in a video posted to Twitter announcing the steps. Like A'moora, Eastern Kingdoms human leaders have requested people keep calm, despite doubts over how the Trumpnado's campaign will affect SW immigration policy. "I would like to see more effort on the part of the incoming administration in terms of calming people's fears as to what may come next," Thyn'tel Bladeweaver told us. Trumpnado, who early on in the campaign called elven immigrants "rapists" who "bring crime" into Eastern Kingdoms, said in an interview he thought the reported attacks on nelf minorities were "a very small amount," but was "saddened" to hear about them. "I will say this, and I will say right to the cameras: Stop it," Trumpnado said. The Darnassus strategy is relying on its traditional political allies in Stormwind to protect its citizens abroad. Many big city mayors and some governors have said they will refuse to cooperate with authorities persecuting non-criminal night-elves. As part of the 9-step plan, the Darnassian government said it will increase collaboration at the state and local level. "Reinforce dialogue with local and state authorities, in the understanding that local policies determine, in good measure, the daily life of night elves in the Eastern Kingdoms," reads step six of the plan. The plan also includes provisions to strengthen ties to civil rights guilds and to call for communities to avoid "any conflict situation" and "acts that could derive in administrative or criminal sanctions." The measures will include queue-free GM-tickets for night-elves to call in case of emergency or for assistance with paperwork, promotion of a special Addon for night-elves abroad and expansion of consular service hours. Darnassus has 16 consulates in the Eastern Kingdoms, the largest diplomatic network deployed by any single capital in Azeroth. According to the Migration Policy Institute, there were 4k night-elf immigrants in the Eastern Kingdoms in early February. Of those, 3k were undocumented, according to the GM Research Center. There are also more than 6k Human characters who are alts of a female nelf druid, most of whom could be eligible for dual citizenship under Darnassian law. The 9-step plan includes services tailored to undocumented night-elves and for dual citizens, including those in mixed guilds. Consulates will expand their ID program, which in many cases provides undocumented immigrants with their only government-issued ID. Services to provide legal assistance and assistance obtaining birth certificates, both in Darnassus and Stormwind, will also be expanded upon.

    Horde retarded?

I was running through the beautiful Ashenvale forest and I saw plenty of horde lowbies. The Silverwing Sentinels keep saying "kill them all", but I didn't. I couldn't see the point of attacking a low-level who can't even flee. Then after a dozen lowbies, I met a 60 UD rogue who killed my 39 druid for no reasons. I turned myself into a gank-bot. That's essentially how the War-craft begins...

    Mage vs Warlock

You can't chain nuke with seduce :-D The only viable is fear, but mage's ones are still better.

    Mage vs Warlock

The are only 2 factors that matter in the PvP-retarded-mode as most people play (meaning no team work and tryin' to be a God 1vs.1): -how long you can fight (mage has many CCs); -how much damage you can provide in the shortest time possible (mage kills fast); Mage > Warlock imo.

    RESERVE RUNS

The worst part of mankind plays Vanilla Wow. Yesterday, I joined a reserved run at RFD: we had a single clothed character in the group and he reserved a cloth item. He said "I'll change to Master Loot shortly before the last boss". I thought: Why the need to reserve? It seems natural to me that the mage gets all the cloth. I realized the reason later: he brought such a dick transvestite paladin from his guild who tried to ninja a chest first and then needed ALL of the leather items. -《Why you do that? You can wear Plate》 -《Do u think I'm a nOOb? I need da stats, dont care about +200 armor on shoulder》 And there you have it. The worst part of mankind plays Vanilla Wow.

    Totally new to Vanilla

Hi Yselea, essentially, Vanilla WoW was a game designed for Nerds, role-players and -in general- people who like complexity, structure and strategy: you'll find a peculiar interdependency of classes that was supposed to be considered in every aspect of the game (PvP and PvE): for example, warriors is the natural tank in PvE, but he has an uncanny ability at slowing enemies in PvP. This makes the warrior the perfect front-line class to "protect" both in PvE and PvP. Then you have the support classes: druids, paladins and shamans. They were not designed to incarnate the pure role (tank, dps or healer), but to play a rotation or roles (off-tank, off-healer and dps). As a consequence, they're not as good as the pure class in a specific role. Unfortunately... orcs, elves and dwarves are toons and kids play with toons. People struggled to understand Vanilla complexity. They wanted to be competitive in solo-fighting, they wanted to incarnate the pure classes (tank, dps and healer), denying the value of support classes. We see this idea in druids wearing cloth armor to maximize healings or rogue items to maximize dps (and thus specializing in a single role), or warriors wearing leather armor "cause they're fury" (!). And the "carrying different gears with you" concept. Since one of the most important factor in a successful raid is healing, support classes were strong enough to be amazing off-healers (Blizzard though that none would be retarded enough to play the healing-bot role as we do today: priests were meant to be more active in the fight by casting some offensive spell. And to be generally more aware of what's going on)... but people just grabbed this occasion to force the support classes into specializing. The final result of this shit was: support classes are considered to be healers in end-game. And you'll always meet people who will say that they're sub-optimal as healers. Wotlk was released to adjust the game to this misunderstanding (marketing dictates that it's best to listen to the community) and suddenly people said "Wow! Now it's all so balanced!": you had support classes which could actually compete with pure tank-dps-healer classes. The conclusion is that Vanilla, Druids, paladins and shamans are deeply misunderstood. They're forced to specialize into a role that they were not designed to incarnate. To play a support class in a game in which people don't even know that there's a support-role, may eventually lead to frustration. IMHO.

    roll for chest contents

I agree. There are entire guilds devoted to ninja-looting stuff and being un-polite. I know that it's not vanilla, but it's not vanilla to even have such a large community: I think that extra-measures are needed. I would also limit the roll on BoP items...

Druid PVP - is it true

The experiment failed because it was too complicated for players at the time to understand such a concept, but since we're on Vanilla, the support-classes experiment is a never-ending one: we can't just pretend that druids and paladins are not designed to complement the group with a specific role. In practice, the support role works pretty well: although people generally tend to concentrate on DDs, there's another important factor that influences the performance of the group. How long it can sustain the fight. If a fight last 60s and the priest ends with no mana and the warrior >60% hp deficit... this is generally a bad performance. But with a druid that can save some of the priest's mana with his HoT spells, the fight will last 75s but it will be so smooth that everyone will notice it with amazement. After a few pulls, the intelligent priest will start to cast some offensive spells because he doesn't need all of his mana for healing... and there you lose even the Healing-Bot role (the guy who doesn't even know what's going on because he's fully concentrate on healtbars!) In my opinion, unless we fully embrace the idea of a support class, it becomes even stupid to roll a druid for a couple of utility spells.

Druid PVP - is it true

In my opinion, you're wrong. I think that vanilla classes were supposed to be precisely the way they are. Talent trees were carefully designed and not a "let's see how it works" thing. All the theory-craft that emerged around talent builds was born out of a very simple misunderstanding. The druid class was designed to keep his hybrid nature even while improving certain aspects with TPs and leveling: you have "Natural Shapeshifter" in the balance tree and "Improved enrage" + "furor" in the restoration tree. And why they improve your intellect with "heart of the wild" in the feral tree? Because druid was supposed to play a rotation of roles, independently from the spec. He shouldn't be considered as healer or DD. Vanilla classes were Tank, DamageDealer, Healer and Support. Druids and paladins being Support. Players were supposed to save a slot in their groups for the "support" role, a player who fills different roles simultaneously. Later, Blizzard just adapted their game to players' understanding, sacrificing depth for ca$h... and yes, they keep doing it. Wotlk destroyed this model. Wotlk druid is not the same as Vanilla druid.

Druid PVP - is it true

First reason: it's not a job, it's a game and we play for fun. Second reason: although it may seem strange to you, it works pretty well. The druid saves some of the priest's mana that can even cast some offensive spells! Warrior doesn't need specific tank spec because... it's just easier to heal an X amount of damage divided in 2 Health bars than the usual tank-takes-all approach. Requirements: druid has to continually shapeshift to fulfill his hybrid roles. And no, he can't do that with rogue's equipment. Plus: buff matters. Yes, Blizzard created feral and balance specs just to troll you.

Druid PVP - is it true

I like Vanilla because of classes interdependence. In my humble opinion, druids, shamans and paladins were designed to play a "support" role: Druid: can be a powerful off-healer and Damage dealer at the same time, because he can cast HoT (healing over time) and provide damage while shape-shifted; can be an off-tank to handle a difficult pull, but he sacrifices his healing abilities (because he can't shape-shift into caster form with aggro on); Mark of the wild, thorns + other buffs depending on the spec; The community never really understood (nor appreciated) the specific role of druid as a support class and played it as "pure Dps" (wearing rogue items, generally sacrificing +int and limiting the numbers of SS possibles) or as "pure healers" (wearing cloth designed for priests, mages and WLs). But in Vanilla, this community approach doesn't really work... because druids were designed to play a sort of "rotation" of roles. From TBC onward, Blizzard modified the class to suit the roles of Tank, Healer or DD and thus pleasing the community (in Wotlk the process was almost complete). As a consequence, people with some experience will say that the class sucks. Yes, vanilla druid isn't a rogue, nor a warrior and not a priest (he doesn't even have a no-cd resurrection spell! This fact should tell you something about the mechanics of the class): he was designed to play a support role, a role that the community can't appreciate because they found another way to make things work and crystallized their view. Why? Because Blizzard listened to them and adjusted the game to suit their play-style in later expansions. Vanilla PVP was designed to have the same "class interdependencies": it wasn't really designed for 1 vs. 1... and people said that classes were not balanced. Warhammer Online had the same idea behind it, but the difference here is that in WoW you can somehow play outside the schemes and make things work (even in sub-optimal ways). In 1 vs. 1, druid is good against certain classes... but he always need to gain some tactical advantage, the most obvious one is being outdoor to cast roots (yes, Vanilla cares about Lore). Generally, Vanilla druid is a class that can't survive a 1vs1 if he's unexpectedly attacked, but he can flee pretty well!
