Gear gained through exploiting should be removed or suspensions prolonged

Imo players who double loot should get locked out of next week's raid :) -
The inevitability is very clear here. Elysium has two options. 1.) Continue to support and maintain Anathema and Darrowshire, devising new ways to grow and sustain their population 2.) Merge servers. Option one is obviously the preferable one to most players, but the hardest to implement. Obviously, staff will continue to push out new content that Anathema and Darrowshire will receive before Elysium. But the true issue here is the constant comparison of servers. A good example is this: When Elysium first launched, maintaining 12k+ players, they were forced to open Zeth'Kur. The less popular server, some players started shouting out that the server was dying, when its numbers dropped from 7k to 5k. A substantial reason that the dead server meme was so self-prophesying was because population numbers are constantly reflected off of each server. While this is one project, the reality is that each individual server is competing with each other. You can see this, even today. Go into any chat, and tell the players you are new and you were wondering what server to go to. Elysium will be recommended, because it has the strongest population. This is not necessary. This type of environment exists because of Elysium's attempts at making their servers capless. Strict caps would be a solution to this, and would have been a solution a long time ago. What I propose in this case is to limit server caps to something like 7k players. This will also improve lag and disconnect issues with the servers. Additionally, open up free transfers from Elysium to Darrowshire or Anathema. Without server caps, there will always be one server dominating over others. By setting a server cap, not only will you be stabilizing Elysium, but you will also be opening the flow of increased population to Darrowshire and Anathema. Or... if you choose to continue allowing your own servers to compete against each other, eventually history will repeat itself as it occurred with Zeth'Kur. These servers will continue to lower their population, and players that have invested 50+ days of game time will find their characters unusable and cry out in dismay. It is already happening everywhere around us. Either you examine the current flaws and trends of your servers if you want to attempt to keep them all alive, and attempt to balance your populations, or you let them die and eventually do forced merges/transfers. By not analyzing the current issues going on with your server populations, you are constantly losing more and more players. This is no different than taking off a bandage. A harsh reality is in the future of Elysium, the future of Anathema and Darrowshire. Delaying these issues will only make them worse down the line. I don't necessarily expect there to be discussion about this, but it is just simple to understand that something will eventually be done about these servers, whether it is ways to blossom populations in the smaller servers, or eliminating the servers by merge/transfers. Either way, by not taking a proactive stance you are slowly losing more and more players. Please take some time to consider the future of Elysium, for the sake of all the players who have serious investment here.

Awesome to hear. And if you lose your phone or something, all you need to do is download authy in your desktop or browser and you should be able to log on without a problem! Cheers.

Do not use Google authenticator, use authy. If you lose your phone, you will be locked out of your account using Google auth.

Is there anything Elysium can do?
Shiamorah replied to Ultimatebigz's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
How does this help darrowshire? Or are you just being biased, seeing that you are an Anathema player who has criticized pretty much every decision staff has made for the past 4 months? -
Can you give some references or insight into how you came to this conclusion? Every community has trolls, but I feel like they are very quickly identified here and not to be taken seriously.

Lemme just say you are very wrong about that

				Server Cap or Merge Servers
Shiamorah replied to Shiamorah's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
While I know your suggestion comes from an honest place, a poll just wouldn't work out. No matter what, there is going to be a side that does not benefit from a change whatsoever, and will vote against it. -

				Server Cap or Merge Servers
Shiamorah replied to Shiamorah's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
It is easy to see that any solution possible is going to result in upset players, there is no winning solution. Because of this, it is best to ignore players that choose to side with an obvious extreme bias where they only care about themselves. They are not thinking about the project as a whole, only how it affects them personally. If Elysium was facing the same issues as the other servers, they would be the ones crying out. If the only possibility is to merge servers, then they will need to speed up patch releases on Elysium for it to be practical. The absolute worst thing they can do as a project is show that they don't not care about these issues until it is past the point of return. The simple and honest truth is that Elysium operates on a very optimistic perspective, and a lot of the time does not evaluate worst case scenarios, and usually is only reactive instead of proactive. Merging servers will look bad because they create a disparity in time and gear earned amongst the playerbase. Allowing the server to die without any transfers will look bad because they actively alienate and abandon their playerbase. No matter what decision is made, it will not be perfect. This is why I suggested influencing the flow of new players to areas they are most needed. -

Sorry, this is no different than posting a ban appeal in general. Wrong forum :( Please post it in the Administration Complaints forum. -

Not PvPing in contested zones will result in a Ban...
Shiamorah replied to Amanwithaproblem's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
I have a much easier suggestion bud, use proper channels :) I can easily see you attempting to sway a situation that could easily be taken out of context, especially considering that the screenshots you posted are clearly not the entire conversation, and there is no statement from the opposite side. This is why people call it a "witch hunt". It is a biased argument targeted at a single person, used to incite fear by using large statements like "staff ban players for PvP". You are right that this is not a player report, or a ban appeal, but just like posting a ban appeal in general, it will not even be acknowledged until you post it in the right forum, ban appeals in this instance. -

Not PvPing in contested zones will result in a Ban...
Shiamorah replied to Amanwithaproblem's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Your logic here is that staff care about themselves over others in a volunteer project. And by quickly making this assumption and posting this publicly, you are inciting not only a witch hunt, but boldly claiming that the entirety of the staff is not to be trusted and can not handle internal issues professionally. Have I got that about right? If you believe staff will just sweep issues under the rug, then what is the purpose of this besides attempting to provoke drama? -

Don't disagree, this can be considered overstepping a rule. All the more reason to handle this through proper channels. -

Shiamorah replied to Amanwithaproblem's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Completely agree, a GMs words are not law if they don't follow the ToU. But that isn't for the public to decide. If you feel otherwise, then this is 100% a witch hunt. -

Not PvPing in contested zones will result in a Ban...
Shiamorah replied to Amanwithaproblem's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Staff can be wrong and misinterpret rules. In these cases, you get unbanned and they get in trouble. But see you are not going through official channels, so likely nothing will occur other than staff seeing you attempt to stir drama and do absolutely nothing about it. -

Not PvPing in contested zones will result in a Ban...

Okay staying on point- this is not a public matter. Or should we also make all ban appeals public, and all player reports public? -

Not PvPing in contested zones will result in a Ban...
Shiamorah replied to Amanwithaproblem's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
That is not the point, the point is it is a private forum for handling internal issues. Staff get in trouble just like everyone else. This is not a public affair, and making it public is nothing more than unnecessary drama. -

Hey bud, how about you take a fucking chill pill, respect your staff, and listen to what they say? This is a witch hunt, you should honestly be banned for this. There are proper channels to report staff, this is not it. Grow the fuck up, drama queen. -

				Server Cap or Merge Servers
Shiamorah replied to Shiamorah's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
While you are correct that issues would arise by them not being on the same patch, the only alternative is to just leave Anathema alone until Elysium catches up... So the only alternative here is to do absolutely nothing, and by the point Elysium catches up, it will most likely already be dead.
