I don't think there is currently any way to change your email address. You could always try contacting a staff member, but I don't know how that will go.

Elywnn Forest/Dun Morogh > Westfall/Loch Modan > Redridge Mountains/Wetlands > Duskwood That is enough to get you to around level 30 without encountering much horde at all.
-
Press K or open up Skills menu Click Herbalism To the right you should see a circle with a line through it. Click that to unlearn your profession.
-
Haha, great to hear you got it working! Enjoy playing.

The file name stays as realmlist.wtf and you open up as a text file with notepad, and put "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org" inside it
-
You are sure that you registered to the website, and not just the forum? Try running your WoW.exe as administrator, and compatibility mode for Windows 8. Make sure your realmlist.wtf is set correctly.
-
Do you see the main menu screen still? Delete the entire WTF folder, then re-open wow

Standards are not higher... Go to retail server stats, realize that Zeth'Kur's concurrent population is higher than about 180 of current WoW servers concurrent population, even without their cap. I see people everywhere, population is 100% not a problem. Standards are not higher, population caps increased because of addition of continents (Outlands, Northrend, Pandaria). It is definitely an argument point. Steady 4.5k population is not low. People are actually disliking 10k concurrent populations due to lag and issues quest camping.

You learn two primary professions, and yes, you can unlearn them.

I have been playing exclusively on Zeth'Kur, level 26 now. Population of 4.5k currently is more than enough, I see players in every zone, been grouped with random players through group questing pretty frequently. Don't forget that the original Vanilla WoW population cap was around 2.5k, so even though it is the lowest, it is still more than enough. I have not regretted my decision to go on Zeth'Kur, and think that an 8k population would be much more difficult leveling up with.

In my personal opinion, the servers are way too fresh to do a purge on inactive characters.

Unfortunately, Elysium staff does not recover items from compromised accounts. There are too many variables that could be exploited (You could have a friend 'hack' your account, and stage this, for example). There are a couple of exceptions, like quest items that are impossible to re-obtain. The best thing you can do is prevent this from happening in the future, with 2-Factor Authentication. I'm sorry for your loss.
-
You can definitely recover your account, it is connected to your email address. https://elysium-project.org/control Go to Forgot your Password? Or Recover your Nostalrius Account
-
You should get definitely get 2 Factor Authentication. I've never had a security issue, and definitely won't now that I have it. https://elysium-project.org/control You can set it to either require 2FA every log in, or only when IP changes.

These are definitely good to use (Administrators pinned this thread)

Try running your exe as administrator and compatibility mode for Windows 8. And can you copy/paste your config.wtf here?
-
Hey try deleting your WTF folder and try again, let me know how that goes.

I accidentally spent 40G on two low level items on AH

If rules were broken, then something could be done about it. The person holding the auction was not playing a trick on anyone, they just set their price to be 20g. You bought it, fair trade. Sorry, but you are just going to have to learn from your mistakes here, because this is no one's fault besides yours. -
How come Elysium is back online, but still can't log in?

GM just banned my friend? WTF mode.

Your argument is that any random Hunter can get banned at BGs for using Aspect of the Cheetah...? Because that doesn't happen. -

Maledaar, it is pretty clear seeing why you were banned. If you continue to claim your innocence, how about you post all the mods that you were using? -

But it can be said that through the use of these exploits, he gained an unfair advantage over other players, through both PvP and leveling. Even if the staff here were incredibly lenient, the character would need to be deleted no matter what. The policy of allowing ignorance is just not tolerable. It would mean anyone could download an addon pack like this, exploit it and take advantage of it, and then get warned and stop. Can you imagine thousands of players using the same exploits your friend was? The staff do what they do for good reason. -

Accounts that are hacked and used by gold traders are also banned. The player whose account was hacked was not at fault besides having poor security, but the account is banned nonetheless. They are allowed to create a new account, because IP bans are uncommon. But they are at fault at the bottom line. This is no different with your friend. He can make a new account, but it is unacceptable to allow an account that has been proven to exploit cheats to go on unpunished. -

There is a difference between ignorance and intention sure, but breaking rules is breaking rules. If you want to differentiate ignorance and intention, then it can also go to say that anyone who intentionally breaks the rules can feign ignorance.... There are words like exploits, hacks, cheating, all over those websites. The sad part of it is that while some of the cheats work, they are extremely easy to detect and players using them are always caught. Just go look at them yourself, it would be legitimately amazing to go to one and not realize it is about exploits and cheats. The fact that he downloaded addons from a website dedicated to exploiting, hacking, and cheating world of warcraft private servers is easy enough to know where the blame lies. You should have just asked your friend these questions and you would have found the answer yourself, instead of wasting time here only to find out directly from the banned player that he was using bannable exploits. There is a reason he did not make an appeal.
