Well just going to put this out there, there are addons that exist which can result in a ban, depending on their function. Why did you not screenshot this information? There are multiple GMs testifying against you with logs verifying their claims, and the only proof you have is word of mouth?

I don't know how that relates to what I said, it is pretty apparent from the screenshot that the player in question wasn't banned, and that Suzerain confirmed that it made no sense. If anything, this highlights and proves my point. If a GM wrongfully bans a player and the player appeals, the staff will catch it, just like this.

Antipatra, I think what most people are trying to explain here is that "corruption" of a GM can only exist if the entirety of the staff is "corrupt". Players regularly watch threads that involve banned players feigning innocence, and a very vast majority of them are lying in the end, which is why there is an innate distrust towards players feigning innocence. However, there are many examples of players getting unbanned after the staff realize that the ban was a mistake. This is almost always due to automatic bans that have no involvement with the staff at all. The fact that a GM was watching your friend means that he must have done something that gave the GM an amount of proof that lead to his ban. I know that for most cases, if a GMs integrity is in question, the case is reviewed by multiple members of staff, which I assume is what happened here. I'm sorry that someone close to you was banned, but please don't escalate this to the belief that 'everyone is against you'. The staff work hard to assure the players who are banned are correctly banned. They review their evidence and I am sure that no permanent ban is processed by just one GM.

I assure you that I have fully read this thread, and see that any time a player responds to you logically because they have seen this sort of thing many times, you resort to saying that they have no friends...? I don't know why anyone would take you seriously.

To be honest, this seems like a slam piece where you are trying to expose "corrupt" GMs, with absolutely no proof whatsoever regarding their corruption, besides a player you know being banned and him saying he doesn't know why. The fact that your friend is not pursuing this after being banned for cheating should be the highlight of this thread. No one will admit to cheating, but plenty of cheaters will accept the fact they were caught and give up (just like your friend has...?) You have insulted many people in this thread, and acted in a very unprofessional manner. If anything, threads like this demonstrate the professionalism of the staff here, because they will not stoop down to your level. The fact that they are caring enough about each instance to actually go so far as to talk to a FRIEND of someone who is banned is pretty incredible, and you would not find that in most situations. They have confirmed that he was cheating, and they were watching him actively cheat. I don't think anyone "pissed off" anyone... I think the general consensus people are gathering from this thread is that cheating will get you banned and feigning innocence will get you nowhere...

I think that this is probably bannable.

The realmlist.wtf is supposed to be, "set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org" If you are trying this and it still isn't working, you can download the realmlist.wtf file I uploaded here: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B3zLTUSkgCzXWUQzSi12enBWSjA And just delete yours and replace it with that.

While ceoddyn might seem abrasive in his response, it is pretty accurate. Situations like this occur all the time, and threats on IP addresses are rather silly.. I would disregard it entirely, ignore the guy, and move on. I'm sorry that you had to witness a negative player who creates a toxic environment, but you made the right move and should feel justified in what you did. If you feel that he went above and beyond with his insults into a level that is against the rules, you can always contact a GM with screenshots for proof that they could fact check... But yeah, this kind of stuff happens a lot. Not just here, but large communities in general.

I'm sorry to hear that your illness is taking away the things you love, I know how hard that can be. I haven't been around for long, but I know that you played an essential role in making Elysium become the project it is today, and for that everyone is extremely grateful for. Hello, I've been looking at a couple different addons for keeping track of DoTs. I used Chronometer, but found out that it doesn't work correctly when an enemy dies (The DoT timer stays after death). I tried ccwatch and the issue with that is that it doesn't apply to DoTs. I tried DoTimer and something is bugging it out so that the timers don't stay consistent (They switch from the accurate time to 0 and back and forth, very annoying). Is there a reliable DoT timer addon that I can use?

Your accountname is Myusername? o.O when deleting your config.wtf, you had to go through the ToS right? (Where you have to scroll down and accept the button and everything)... Can you try deleting your config.wtf, then choosing a different server, not Darrowshire? And then switching afterwards

Okay, that's good to hear! Likely there was something wrong with your config.wtf file. Just try doing what I said and let me know what happens.

I would attempt to delete the config.wtf file all together. If that doesn't work, I would suggest editing the file, deleting all lines, saving, and reopening your client. Let me know how that goes. Just to be sure, you have been able to log in previous to this, right?

Can you confirm that this issue still exists? Just to note, I am able to log into Darrowshire.

Just enjoy your time and don't bother with those that want to express their anger towards the staff and community here. To avoid feeding the troll, you need to legitimize them and their angst and disregard it entirely. The mass majority of players here very much enjoy this server. Those few people that complain and whine really aren't worth your time. Enjoy the game, don't let these kind of people get you down. Haters gonna hate.

So far, by my experience, the server is amazing! Everything I hoped for and more. I have a long history of private server usage, and a lot of them have a relatively poor community. This one is welcoming and friendly, especially on the new servers. I am personally playing on Zeth'Kur and am very happy with my decision. I hope that you enjoy your stay!

If you compare the amount of people on the forums to the amount of people complaining... Or the amount of people playing the game compared to the amount of people complaining... It'd be some insignificant number like .005% of the population. Some people are ungrateful and don't realize the amount of dedication it takes for a completely volunteer server to be created and maintained day in and day out.
