Try running the WoW.exe in compatibility mode, starting with Windows 8.
-
@renegade88 are you using windows 10?
-
Yeah, a lot of the time the changes you make to the realmlist.wtf file are not saved. However, in his config.wtf it shows the realmlist, which means that the realmlist.wtf was saved correctly. I am hoping that since he hasn't answered back since my last suggestion, that that worked for him.

Disable VPN connections to server...
Shiamorah replied to Worldstar's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
Pottu said they won't be disabling VPN connections because it is unfair to Asian/Oceanic players. https://forum.elysium-project.org/topic/30275-ban-vpns/#comment-291861 -
Okay go to start and then type in cmd and open a command prompt in the command prompt type: ipconfig /renew and then also type: netsh winsock renew then try
-
Do this one: set realmlist logon.elysium-project.org
-
Okay, go ahead and right click your WoW.exe, and then go to Compatibility and then select Run this program in compatibility mode for WIndows 8, and then give it a try
-
What operating system do you use? Do you use a usb device for your internet? One that you'd connect to your laptop through a usb port
-
Hey bud, just letting you know that you posted in the wrong section. Try posting this thread here: https://forum.elysium-project.org/forum/351-ban-appeals/

Okay.. Can you go into your WoW folder, and then go into your WTF folder, and then delete config.wtf, then try again. If that doesn't work, can you open up your config.wtf after trying and copy and paste it here?
-
Could you answer the other questions? There could be a number of things wrong with your client, just trying to single it out. Did you change your realmlist correctly?
-
Hello, have you logged in ever before? Or is this your first time and you've never been able to log in? Are you sure you changed your realmlist? Can you take a screenshot of your login screen?

This server will stay vanilla right?
Shiamorah replied to toniplavna's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions
They would never change the server. If they were aiming at tbc, it would be an entirely separate server. Just letting you know! -
So you've never logged in successfully? You get the same error? Disconnected from the server? If so, can you take a couple screenshots for me? One of the main WoW folder, and one of your login screen?
-
Glad to see it worked, enjoy playing!

Glad to hear you could get it working! Enjoy playing

Try to go into your WoW folder, then go into your WTF folder, and delete config.wtf and try to log back in, tell me how it goes.

No problem, I'm glad that you could get this working! Enjoy playing

It should automatically do it.. Unless you are doing some option like "run with compatibility.." Go to your properties and the compatibility tab, you can permanently set it there.
-
Glad to hear it's working!!! In case it isn't... Also try this if that doesn't work: 1. Bring up a command prompt with admin permissions (select Start button, type cmd in to search bar, then right click the Cmd program and select Run As Administrator) 2. Type in "netsh winsock reset" (without quotes) and press enter 3. Once the command has run, you should see the message "Winsock reset completed successfully" 4. Restart your machine and try running WoW again Edit: patches - This usually has to do with pathing differences in your BIOS. Without being too technical.... Windows 10 didn't exist when Vanilla WoW was created. Neither was Windows 8, but when speaking about compatibility, Windows 8 started serious focus on backward compatibility with older operating systems and games. Windows 10 has a lot of differences than any other Operating System.
-
Can you try a newer one like Windows 8?
-
Maybe try running your WoW.exe in compatibility mode
-
It could possibly be the operating system you guys are using?
-
Can you log into the control panel on the website? Do you know where you are when you log in? It is possible that you logged out at a bad time like when falling and speed detecting keeps kicking you. If you can get in using your laptop, can you try to use that and then change your settings from there?
