Has anyone tried stacking +healing gear?

Last I checked, Mend Pet mistakenly does not benefit from +heal on Anathema.

    Pets don't keep resistances?

My friend confirmed that Snarler lacks resistances on Anathema.

    Mara Farming Pet

Boars are nice. They can charge or dash, they bite, and there's room for Growl. Whatever pet you choose, get Thick Hide and give your pet plenty of armor and nature resistance and you should be okay. Princess has Windfury now, at least on Anathema, so I'd recommend pulling your pet out during Dust Cloud. It's about five seconds, so pull pet out, mend, send back in before mend ends. Easy peasy.

    rotations and dps

I leveled MM / Surv, 0/21/30. I liked it. Not the most efficient way to level, but I'm here to have fun. I spend DKP on the AQ Memeteor trinket and doesn't afraid of anything. BM can be quite fun ^^ You should try and seek out a nice pet to work with. Pick up Hurricane and Broken Tooth and start ganking level 60s. lol In my opinion, once you reach the end of Beast Mastery, start putting points in Marksman. Your ranged DPS will improve, your pet's melee DPS will hold aggro for you. In addition, you can get Aimed Shot at level 51 after going 31 points into Beast Mastery, and conveniently, a pre-raid BiS crossbow is available at level 51 if you manage to kill Korrak in AV. Bloodseeker. If you prefer to try something really weird, you could go for survival after maxing BM. A BM / Surv spec could potentially make you pretty difficult to kill, no one really seems to know anything about that kinda build, so get yourself a nice 2h, make good use of traps, and annoy and confuse the hell outta people in PvP. Or figure out your own thing to do with that kinda build. Hope that helps. Have fun, and good luck! :)

    The Best Pet

I pull stuff for my guild's raids. I've been using a wind serpent and I've come to really like it, it can tag those guardian bugs in AQ and get back to me without dying, among other things. They're very graceful fighters. Cats, wolves, and wind serpents are all good pets for raiding, unless Lupos isn't nerfed in which case Lupos is indubitably the best. Cats deal lovely damage, but are a little less responsive than wolves on account of focus dump, so you may need to be more proactive in helping it avoid AoEs if it can't cast Dash right away. They're nevertheless the fastest and most furious beasts you'll find for dealing physical damage. Wolves benefit your allies' damage, but will make practically no difference if you keep it at your side. Furious Howl has a 15-yard range - make sure the wolf is in the melee! They're also ineffective if you are not buffing a melee group, which will happen on some encounters where your raid leader swaps people around for optimal builds. Wind serpents deal magical damage, which pierces armor but can prove ineffective against certain enemies, and doesn't gain quite as many significant damage boosts from buffs and debuffs as a cat or, to a lesser extent, a wolf would. However, it is the only beast with a ranged attack, so you can outrange potentially lethal mechanics with it and engage the enemy quicker. As for PvP, I picked up that ZG <3 spell power trinket the other day and I've been screwing around with it in PvP along with a Wind Serpent. Pop it off and DoT a warrior up and they're like "w0t, where's the mage?" But otherwise I've enjoyed Broken Tooth a lot since I prefer to assassinate casters or healers with burst combos and Shadowmeld. Boars can also be fun in PvP since they're tough critters that can charge people. Not nearly as effective in terms of damage, at least after the initial burst damage Charge adds to your boar's attack, but still potentially fun. You'll never know which beast is best suited for you until you try 'em yourself. Have fun :) http://web.archive.org/web/20070410041758/http://petopia.brashendeavors.net/html/articles/skills_list.shtml By the way, here. This page has some data from Burning Crusade, such as boars having Gore (which doesn't exist in vanilla), but it's quite useful for vanilla anyway. If you're interested, I have a pet tutorial on my Hunter Macros & Tips [Redux] thread and I go into detail about different beasts, among other things. Section 3.2.2.

    Hunter Spec for world pvp

If you have a pocket tank, nothing wrong with rolling MM. I leveled solo as MM / Surv, 0/21/30 - and that was fun, if inefficient :D Another popular compromise spec is Intimidation / Scatter spec. For World PvP, it's pretty fun! And you can get Aimed Shot and Scatter Shot first, or pet boosts and Intimidation first. You have both Scatter and Intimidation by level 51. More practical is just going straight for Bestial Wrath and speccing the rest of your points in Marksman - you can get Aimed Shot at level 51 this way. What I enjoyed about MM / Surv was I was able to boost my crit and CC stuff nicely. As a night elf, I could escape even more easily and return to strike from the shadows, which is well-suited for a hunter because our burst DPS is quite strong. Getting Aimed Shot at level 20 was especially helpful as I quested through Stonetalon Mountains. I actually tried BM at first, but I felt my damage was fairly lacking - which is obviously the case when your pet is meant to do all the damage. A little later on it's better, especially when you get Intimidation, but I found it was fun to get Aimed Shot as early as possible, and decided not to go back. My recommendation, given all these options, is to consider your options, how you plan to level, maybe play with a talent calculator, and do what you think is fun. Maybe if you're an orc you'd really like to go BM, or as a night elf you'd consider MM. Whatever's fun ^^ Oh, and if you're wondering how MM does on the way up... I have a vid series in "Hunter Macros & Tips [Redux]," section 3.2.3. It doesn't have all the dungeons... yet... but it has some low level dungeons you could look at. After Wailing Caverns, I get Venomstrike, which really boosts my damage for the other dungeons beyond it.

    Hunter leveling BiS weapons

You're welcome! A popular one between those two levels is, uhh... I think it's called Crystalpine Stinger. BoE blue, so if you're making bank, it could be affordable.

Looking for a great arcane shot / auto shoot macro

Yes, it will now cast the highest rank Arcane Shot. If you have any more questions, hmu fam :p
  9. Raziya

Looking for a great arcane shot / auto shoot macro

It will if you remove the rank specification from the script. Otherwise, you can specify which rank to use.

In the case you do this, OP, the macro should function as intended.

    Lupos - Still good?

It's the case on Anathema. I don't know about Darrowshire or Elysium, but it should tell you in the combat log. When Ahn'qiraj nears, you can expect your Lupos to no longer do shadow damage, if he even does right now. If he does, he's pretty awesome. Otherwise, you could keep him for Furious Howl, but you could also consider wind serpents or cats viable alternatives.

What an awesome guide, Dhralla! I'm sure it'll be a great help to hunters looking to complete this quest. It's an epic quest chain, so it deserves an epic guide. You delivered. :)

    Hunter leveling BiS weapons

I dunno about absolute BiS, but the weapons I picked up along the way were: Hornwood Recurve Bow (3) Just a vendor bow from the starting area. Good to get you on your feet. Laminated Recurve Bow (11) Really freakin' good vendor bow. Cheap and hit nice and hard up 'til Wailing Caverns. Venomstrike (19) This is a godlike bow and absolutely recommended for any hunter at 19+. It procs all the time, as you can see in my dungeon vids. Master Hunter's Bow (36) It's no Venomstrike, but it'll last you a while. I got it at the mid-30s for some reason back on Nost 1.0, but you can get it lower, I think. Verdant Keeper's Aim (45) Maraudon quest bow for slaying the final boss. It has a proc like Venomstrike's, but it's not quite as good for its level range. Bloodseeker (51) Alterac Valley quest and pre-raid BiS, unless you can get Blackcrow or Carapace Spine Crossbow. Hope that helps. :D A BM pet will deal a lot more damage than a non-BM pet. Aimed Shot hits hard, sure, but not hard enough to take aggro off a BM pet while leveling. It barely ever lost aggro against me at 60, even with blues and a couple of epics! So, contrary to what Drain said, OP, I would indeed recommend going Marksman for the rest of your points. You'll have Aimed Shot at level 51, assuming you put 31 points in Beast Mastery. Just keep your Growl up to date, consider liberal use of Intimidation, and if you're still having trouble, do your Aimed Shot later than usual. Hope that helps. :)

Badge of the Swarmguard bugtracker thread!

They seem to be harder data to determine. How can one know the original exact chance of something easily on a luck-based item? An estimation is probably the most anyone can give. Thankfully, there's plenty of feedback for this particular item and hopefully it'll go to good use. If you find anything more you could add, please forward it to either or both threads!

Aye, check out the Github thread. I link to an archived Thottbot thread where people comment that the proc rate is crazy high and other stuff like that. Or, follow the link here... https://web.archive.org/web/20070510001706/http://thottbot.com/i21670

Badge of the Swarmguard bugtracker thread!

From what I understand, it's good for a hunter. It procs off multi-shot, is supposed to proc MUCH more often... and the armor reduction works wonders for all our primary shots! There are some top-end hunters that possess this trinket currently on Anathema... but soon discovered it was broken. And not in the good way. I'm entirely new to Vanilla, so I'm learning as I go. However, it's quite apparent that it's supposed to be good. Correct me if I'm wrong, I would love to know the true nature of and place for this trinket :p

    Shenanigans at Lupos!

Set wolf to stay, run far away and then shadowmeld. Avoid a death that way :D That is pretty funny though. Poor guy must have been hyped, then like "Oh, you JERK!"

Is a fast weapon even possible to use in 60 pvp/pve?

I have a Hurricane. I don't use it for anything. It's just fun. I have nothing more to say about that. :D
  22. Raziya

About to hit 60 PVP spec? With "no" gear

http://db.vanillagaming.org/?talent#c Here :D Your spec looks fine, OP. You could also consider a Scatter Shot / Intimidation spec, that's pretty fun.

    Hunter Macros & Tips [Redux]

I believe those only work with SuperMacro. There should be a Deterrence macro in the OP containing a default-compatible Monkey spammable macro. Still, thank you!
