How will Elysium fund its project in the future?Unbreakable replied to aomiawech's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions It's simple, they sustain themselves by players giving them money, be it donations, character or gold purchases. Don't buy or donate and they have zero funds.

This is not the best way for Elysium to improve its reputation ....Unbreakable replied to DarknessCalls's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions ROFL tell people they are wrong when you don't even know. Typical.

I'd be all for merging realms but that means the population of the tbc will be more than it can sustain. The world isn't as big as vanilla. There are fewer farming nodes and mobs for a population of Elysium + another 2k. Right now Elysium itself it too big for Outland. Honestly the servers just can't handle that many people on one realm and still maintain reasonable playability in terms of lag and crashes. i would like to see two realms at the same timeline but have bgs and arenas cross realm. This also means that if one realm starts to die the population can be evened out with transfers and let's not forget there will be many tbc people that do not currently play vanilla join these servers.

Is this guild still active or did they shit the bed in pve like they do in pvp?

Is it weird to be really excited for TBC?Unbreakable replied to ScottK1994's topic in The Burning Crusade From someone who actually played all of vanilla and tbc on retail, Ikus is actually spot on. You, in fact, are wrong. Instead you make baseless speculative arguments. while naxx was a guild killer in vanilla, swp was much more difficult and tightly tuned

TCG - How to impliment it, safely and respectfully.Unbreakable replied to jmul1212's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions How about just no TCG. There isn't a good way to implement it and all it will do is cause more debates and crying.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions so you are telling me that if your guild walked into naxx with world buffs on loatheb they would tell you and the rest of the raid to not bother flasking?

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I'm asking why because I want to understand. Maybe there is something about world buffs I should like but am not seeing. All you say is "because I do" which doesn't help with any understanding. Maybe there could be a good compromise, who knows unless the reason people like world buffs is known.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions but why? Thats is what i am trying to understand. Why do people like world buffs and being able to do content they normally wouldn't be able to do? That is why i called it "accepted mass abuse of game mechanics in order to trivialize content". 'Oh man, we got to this boss, time to port out and get world buffs to beat this boss. Oh crap, Ikus and friends wiped us, now we have to go get more buffs or call the raid for the night since we cannot beat this boss without world buffs.' they have not stated how long yet. I imagine they will start with two more weeks and see where everybody is at then. ...and sorry for the low blow. :) I correlate world buffs to something like the ignite issue where ignite went off the charts and killed bosses in AQ40 much faster than the raid should have been able to do so. Yes it was a bug, and people got banned for it. Yet, in this accepted version called world buffs, a whole raid can significantly increase their damage and survivability to levels that could not be achieved with normal gear and consumes (which content is tuned for) thus giving a very significant advantage to defeating the content. The players already have a huge advantage over retail with proper specs/gearing and consumes, world buffs just take it to another level of stupidly powerful. in my eyes, the same people that desire world buffs would just .kill the boss if they were able because the scripting, the strategies and the mechanics don't mean anything to them, just the loot.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I'm not triggered, fake stars, it's that your decision on world buffs hinges on world pvp and not the pve aspect of what the buffs do.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Will it really be back to normal? Or is normal the accepted mass abuse of game mechanics in order to trivialize content? nevermind, you don't actually care, you just want to grief raids with the buffs. Good reason to implement the world buffs...

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions How many people in this thread support world buffs and how many are against them, the poll results match the ratio of posters in this thread. if you want world buffs, make an argument to support them, don't try to discredit anything to subversively sway things to what you want. It's a sleezeball tactic.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions There are comments in other threads on this topic, and this one from the first page of this thread. Not saying it's all anathema I guess, just the casuals in general, and right now it's only relevant to anathema.

Naxxramas - World Buffs Y/N ?Unbreakable replied to Jawohl's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions I agree with this. With all the people saying "blizzlike", well blizzard removed this after vanilla because of how obscene the buffs were to the raid environment. The current stacking of buffs was not something that was done regularly in vanilla, it is a private server phenomenon. While mods have linked videos saying "see this guild used world buffs to get their kill" also did not take into account the lack of proper gearing, consumes and raid specs that were a huge deficit in vanilla that the same guilds were using. So, in terms of vanilla vs private server, we are already ahead of the curve in knowledge of the fights and proper gearing/consumes which make the fights less difficult as it is. Naxx is a great raid! Elysium did a wonderful job on its scripting and the difficulty level is right in line with vanilla. I think the best part of naxx is the mechanics that are needed to beat bosses. If people don't do what they need to do they are a detriment to the raid. Loatheb for example is a fight that without world buffs is a tight fight that takes everyone doing their job. However, when you include world buffs in this fight, the fight gets completely trivialized to MC level difficulty. why was naxx re-released with Wotlk? Because few people were able to complete naxx in vanilla. Anathema casuals complaining that removing world buffs is not blizzlike completely overlook the fact that casuals completing naxx in vanilla was not blizzlike. I just ask that Elysium staff choose to keep the integrity of naxx as it is with no world buffs. Its not an elitist thing, its a we have an awesome raid right now with proper difficulty and guilds actually progressing in this raid instead of stomping it. As someone who played through retail vanilla, this is the most "vanilla blizzlike" feeling ive had since joining the private server scene. I also ask why you need world buffs for realmplayers? Why cant everyone just compare based on no world buffs? Who can speed run the fastest without the crutch of world buffs? Using world buffs for this just turns things into a "who can shitstomp things" contest, which is a pretty lame contest.

Disable world buffs in raid instancesUnbreakable posted a topic in General Discussion & Suggestions While the ability to stack world buffs was available in retail, using world buffs like is currently being done was not really blizzlike. The raids were not tuned for these massive buffs to the raid group and using these buffs allows shit stomping of raid content well past what gear levels/capabilities the raid has. please consider at least letting the last raid that a lot of players play vanilla for (nax) to not be shit stomped with world buffs. thank you

Disable world buffs in raid instancesUnbreakable replied to Unbreakable's topic in General Discussion & Suggestions Cool! If that's the case, then remain blizzlike and put the CD on rallying cry.

Consider eventual open transfers from ZK/Ely/Darrow -> Anathema in the futureUnbreakable replied to Forest_'s topic in General Discussion & Suggestions One thing I'd like to say is I chose to roll anathema instead of Elysium. I hit 60 in April and jumped right into raiding. The catch up was fast because a lot of raid guilds don't need much loot anymore from mc/bwl so you get geared quickly. I do highly recommend trying out anathema as guilds need raiders and have extra gear to give the newer players. As a bonus you don't have to farm mc/bwl for months. just my 2c, take for what you will

Isn't the cause other spells overriding the invisible debuff slots? For example, player 1 casts arcane missiles, player 2 then casts arcane missiles and player 2 overrides the debuff slot player 1 was using with arcane missiles so player 1 stops casting and player 2 gets the channel cast. However, is player 1 then casts again, he will override player 2 and take the channel spot. And it keeps going on in a viscous dog eat dog circle. STOP THE VISCOUS CIRCLES!!!

Anathema PvP — Unexpected Downtime: UpdateUnbreakable replied to Jakira's topic in Official Information Donations were allowed directly to OVH so people didn't have to go through Elysium. It was a large donation directly to OVH that was charged back. No budget you are talking about would have prevented what happened with such a large donation directly to OVH. Here's their budget: from here on out, there won't be direct donations to OVH anymore.
