Do you think people will still raidlog for AQ/Naxx on 60 realms and level their toon on 70 realms in addition to that or do you think these people will abandon their 60 realm acitivity for the most part? I agree that people who are not interested in TBC will most likely continue to play like they did before.

1) 3% spellcrit is quite huge indeed. Healing Paladins love crit because it's output and mana replenishment. Shamans and Priests utilize crit due to "Inspiration", the 25% armor buff is quite strong. Rolling ignites work best wenn high spellcrit is achieved - a moonkin helps a lot. There are more examples, but I just want to +1 your argumentation. It's sad that people focus so much on realmstats and don't recognize the support of something like a moonkin. 2) Compareable to moonkin aura: Rebirth. I don't know your raids, but most groups on private servers that I have seen are full of crazy min max dps who play so close to their threat-limit that they die from time to time. It's a very nice bonus for the raid wenn you can compensate for the loss of a top dps (especially at the beginning of a fight). In a fair world, their dps would be added to the rezzing druid for that fight :p

I farmed Strath live/UD until exalted and almost everytime there was someone who demanded the warlock or hunter to pull Magistrate Barthillas from side entrace with a pet that walks through the closed door, which is clearly a bug abuse and compareable to Dire Maul terrain abuse. I wrote a ticket after the first times, asking if it's allowed and I was told it is not allowed. It still did not have any consequence, almost any run I had to bear this nonblizzlike mangos abuse and people got angry if I tried to talk them out of this behavior. GMs depend mostly on someone reporting it, I doubt they permanently observe spots like Dire Maul in multiple instances. Well... just shut up and do whatever you want. Chances are very small that anything happens, except someone reports you with screenshot proof.

Somehow on Darrowshire masses of people get the buff for raiding and that smells like an abuse for me. I think only 1 person per plant should be able to get the buff. Compare it to herbalism nodes - it doesn't matter how many people herb it at once, only one person should get loot. People also get Dire Maul buffs, which is fine, just to complete your list.

True, although from a historical point of view, 1.12 talents are a lot better than anything before the major druid revamps. I played a druid when Innervate was the 31 talent in restoration. Innervate is so powerful and was the defining talent of the healing tree. In 1.12, any druid has this powerful tool. At that time, Balance had Hurricane as 31 balance talent (and it had no range and was just cast around you) and we not even had Barkskin to avoid interrupting. Moonkin form was a huge upgrade and gain. It's a pity that most people do not see that today. Do they even know the history of vanilla? I doubt it. They act like moonkin form is shit and players who choose this special way to play (and raid) are garbage. It's a shame. Of course, it's nice that some people like Roxanne still play the spec and enjoy it, I guess some hope is left. But I have read very dumb argumentations on Darrowshire horde about moonkin druids which top anything that I have read back in the days. 2006, the game was just so much more social and less about numbers and realmplayers... :-( And now, for the health of my soul. Lets do some time travel: Innervate - Trained ability in 1.11 moonkin positivity movement completed xD Edit: one word about "Gimped By Design"... yeah the devs called it hybrid tax and today druids lost everything except their spec skills, but in return moonkin dps is huge and tops even mages and warlocks, depending on the encounter. My argument is that 1.12 is a lot better than anything before (during classic) and one could argue that moonkin now lost it's soul and is just another mindless dps spec but with purple beams instead blue, red or black ones :( That's why I often flame people... they don't get that moonkins are not a dps spec like mage or warlock but a hybrid class that deals damage but can also heal in healing gear quite well and has other support skills that can be very useful for a raid.

bullshit! The moonkin druid got the moonglow talent and is a surprisingly strong offhealer (with healing set on). Have you every organized a raid during progressing? You are very happy about the moonkin if he can fill in the empty healing slot from time to time and he has no burden (like respec cost). Of course, this server is not blizzlike and only have 25 gold respec cost, but it's still a plus for moonkins to be solid offhealers. I beat full healing spec druids with 0 points in restoration as a feral, just with healing gear and skill. And there are many more things that the frost mage will never be able to pull off. It's so silly to say that a moonkin is just low dps. It's a hybrid class and that means you can do so much more. You can do stealth runs as a moonkin which the Frost Mage can't. You can sneak into bases in PvP unseen. You can even offtank Drakki without 0 points in feral, just use the fucking taunt when it's needed. What does that have to do with raiding? People need their BIS stuff for raiding, even a bwl/aq mage will be glad if you help him to get his Briarwood Reer. A moonkin is a valuable member of a raid and can do things that a frost mage can't do but help the raid group/pool. Do you get my point? xD But I still suggest that anyone who wants to enjoy moonkin just plays retail. The vanilla playerbase of today is degenerated and dumb. Elitist jerks at it's finest. Just focussed on their realmplayers e-penis. Ignore these cunts or play retail ;)

This game is over 12 years old. And this is an emulation. Everything until deep AQ40 and Naxx40 is very easy to do. 12 years ago, a hunter tanked Nefarian. 40 mages killed Ragnaros. A group of 5 people with high end equip killed Onyxia at 60. Common! Just play Moonkin, avoid idiots who think they are elite and smart and focus on improving gear and use your support skills to become a valueable member of the raid. A good moonkin will be very valuabe for Chomaggus dispelling, provides 3% spellcrit for up to 4 other casters, you provide a battlerez and innervate when you use mana pots and dark runes in specific fights where the healing is needed (for example bosses that you progress at that moment). Oh and Keftenk nails it to the point. Most fights in MC, BWL and ZG take 1-2 mins, so mana is not an issue 2017 at all.

I got a solution for you: Druidfunc or Doctordruid http://addons.us.to/addon/druidfunc http://addons.us.to/addon/doctordruid These addons allow you to write macros that do the auto downranking (highest rank you can use on the target) for you. I used Druidfunc on Elysium successfully for Mark of the Wild, Thorns, Rejuvenation and Regrowth. It's very pleasant to buff same faction low level players without any need to open the spell book (although that has more style of course!).

helping with the core, bug fixes and stuff like that... I would compare myself with people who do not raid, level, or anything and just play the auction house as an economy simulation. Helping an open source project still is something I enjoy very much.

I am quite convinced now that Oakenlix is a male gay person who suppresses his sexuality! I also think that "the forum's full of garbage but the game is fine" is totally true. The forum is almost useless if you want to get an idea about how the ingame community thinks and works. And as a sidenote... that's why I have left the project and deleted my druid. Have you considered playing moonkin on retail? It's a top dps spec and has new fancy animations! The best part: Nobody will explain you that a mage is master-race dps and a moonkin is filthy trash dps.

Just compare the Nostalrius forum with Elysium forum. Take a class subform for example. The tone of discussion is almost the same, sometimes better on Elysium, sometimes better on Nostalrius. I would argue that this is normal. This is madness. This is... INTERNET!!!!

People started wars because they stopped reading before finished. So I try to leave offtopic. First idea to restore Darrowshire population: Provide a walk of shame for Toradh. Would maybe bring some players back? Anyway. A former 60 server called rebirth tried xp-weekends to promote their "1x rate" server and that did not work out. I am glad you crossed out that idea. Rebirth also tried another silly event. They allowed people to create a lvl 35 char for free. They did that when scriptcraft 2 collapsed... Oh I was so pissed and even years after that, people (who played long before the event on rebirth) used their lvl 35 chars (the system was of course abused, people created new accounts just for their free lvl 35 char) for whatever purpose. Long story short: Events that provide free ressources (gold, xp, mounts) will always lead to problems and will be abused by everyone as much as possible. Therefore it is almost impossible to use free ressources as impulse to increase population without creating additional problems that potentially piss off the loyal player base. I also want to remind you that most happy horde players are not active in the forum, even though they are the ones affected most. If that was my project, I would change Darrowshire from PvE to RP-PvE and promote the server on reddit/youtube/etc as "first RP vanilla server". I play retail at the moment on a RP realm and even after all the years - roleplay and lore is what WoW is still strong at and vanilla has a very intense and deep atmosphere and lore and I think there are many roleplayers that would love to immerse into Darrowshire RP-PvE ;)

Noggenfogger and the World Enlarger should shrink the character box, so that you can pass the fence with any race btw.

male tauren have the biggest model-box, which allows some jumps to be easier or even possible. a tauren can for example jump onto the building in the middle of blackrock mountain, which other races can't. female undeads have a much harder time doing walljumps like in dire maul west before the hunter boss. and yeah, they can walk through the fence in wsg. the fence is fixed on retail, they did that with the overhaul of wsg in cataclysm, where they fixed some other things like the graveyards, too.

Sorry, but population shrinked tremendously on Anathema/Darrowshire and that is not just fiction.

Lets be honest... Does a possible suggestion even exist, which would help Anathema/Darrowshire to recover population? It looks like the current "vision" of the project is to keep all servers like they are and follow the timelines. Maybe that's the best solution? I doubt it. I think they need a better plan for the future. They should communicate their vision for the future. Is it a merge of both PvP servers after Naxx is out for a while? Or new servers after Naxx? Tbc? Maybe a more detailed vision would revitalize the old servers without pissing off the current players that stayed on Anathema/Darrowshire.

Population for Elysium is growing and for Darrowshire/Anathema it is decreasing. That is not a problem now - many people are totally fine with their server size. I played for years on therebirth which had ~300 players online most of the time and I was ok with that. But will this trend just continue? Or can it be stopped? It is a tricky situation for your project... I hope we are all on the same side regarding that point :p

19 people got banned for 72 hours because I asked in a ticket if the used tactic for Mandokir (bugging out the raptor with the ziggurat building) is allowed or not. I would argue that you should ban people who use mind control in bgs to remove people from bgs. In contrast to the Mandokir exploit, it actually hurts the gaming experience of human beings. The Mandokir exploit is borderline enough, the MC abuse is much more worse.

Yeah that particular Elysium staff member has a very unlucky way of explaining things. Clever use of game mechanics is such a retarded way to call that behavior. Closing the thread after making that horrible point does only frighten away all those silent readers that monitor the forums...
