    well said! And as a side note... Many of my friends from Darrowshire horde are very focussed on meters. I would even argue that a main source of their fun is topping meters. That is not only true for pure DPS classes but also for healers. It's easy to flame strangers for their obsession with meters but even my friends obey them so much. Well, I guess that's classic WoW in 2017. People focus on speed runs and min maxing their characters dps/hps-wise. It's ok for me, but I hope people understand that some specs are not based around rawr numbers and still a very solid addition for every raid due to the reasons that Taladril named.

    I understand that you are frustrated with the fix, but the mantra of "blizzlike" is much more important than any fairness across class balance. To be honest, it is much more complex anyway. Sure, druids have a harder time topping meters with a 2,5 sec cast time heal, compared to rank 2+3. But are meters important anyway? I want to quote a druid posting from 2006 to help you understanding what classic is all about: I know many people who play with hybrid specs for PvP or to tank and heal and dps dungeons and such possibilities are only in the hands of druids - to do everything with just switching gear. Problems with topping the meters are the price we pay for versatility in my opinion. And even then, there are fights where we can still top meters. Like Vael (Regrowth spamming) or fights where HoTs are a great help. Why am I even talking about meters in that context? Because rank 2+3 Healing Touch were not only used for their efficency but to be strong in the meters. But is that the classic experience? I am surprised to see the Priests spamming flash heal like mad, just because it's the best tool to produce healing (and not overhealing) in the meters. Rank 2+3 were necessary to keep up and rank 4 makes it harder to keep up now. But well... Fuck the meters, just like the guy that I quoted from 2006 ;)

    You can use it for nature dps at vulnerable mobs/bosses like Chromaggus or Ossirian. On the other hand, Nature's Grasp is quite useful for farming and PvP ;)

    For priests: Therefore 29 Spirit translates for a priest to 18,125 mp/5 out of the 5 sec rule and 2,72 mp/5 while in the 5 sec rule. Whats a little bit confusing, is the interval of ticks: mp/5 and spirit regen both ticks every 2 secs. If we want to compare 29 spirit (a) and 8 spirit and 8 mp/5 (b) to see the actual ticks inside and outside the 5 sec rule, we come to the following conlusion (Inspiration included). (a) inside 5 sec: 1,0875 mana per tick outside 5 sec: 7,25 mana per tick (b) inside 5 sec: 3,5 mana per tick outside 5 sec: 5,2 mana per tick For a druid, the values would be slightly lower, especially for (a), due to the worse scaling with spirit (0,625 versus 0,5 mp/5 per 1 spirit).

    http://wowwiki.wikia.com/wiki/Spirit?oldid=346403 29 Spirit translates to 14,5 mp/5 for a druid out of the 5 sec rule. It also increases the amount that your innervate replenishes by 232 mana. If you skilled Inspiration, then you will keep 2,175 mp/5 while in the 5 sec rule. I hope this helped with your decision :)
  9. Pottu, Protector of the Realm! Thank you for your inspiring speech. Classic even had a Hunter tanking Nefarian, Shamans tanking MC and stuff like 40 Priests versus Onyxia. Remember that the next time your T2 Thunderfury Warrior dies at Onyxia :D so... @OP: Just try out what your curiosity leads you to and master your chosen class/spec with passion!

    Which Class?

    I just finished Strath live as feral tank with a smiter priest, a lvl 56 rogue and a full destruction warlock. Not a single wipe, it took under 1 hour (buff still active from the start). Let people talk about classes, specs and optimal playstyle. They are all misguided by their miserable understanding of the basic thing that WoW is - a game. You can not play a game "wrong", you can just fail to have fun. Choose the class that offers you fresh experiences based on your curiosity.

    Play a druid! They are the least played class, but they offer so much variety! You can collect 4 sets of gear: healing/dps/tank/hybrid. You have cat stealth for special dungeon runs and it's great on PvP servers. You can buff and decurse players and heal them and offer a lot of support. You can master shapeshifting and adapting to your situation. And you don't even need Legion to get your own class hall: You got a whole town classed Nighthaven, which is your defacto class hall. Druids experience almost every facet of the game. They are underrated, try them out if you were bored by a pure dps class ;)

    @OP I know what you mean and agree in parts. The thing is: Actual retail WoW is similar, it is not a problem of Elysium at all. Gamers just change all the time and at the moment, MMO communities tend to be toxic and people play the game like it's a job, not an adventure. I suggest you just ignore this forum, you use /world as LFG tool and nothing more and be very very picky about your guild and your friends. Some games still have extraordinary friendly communites, mostly games that have no content progression like Minecraft. The more competetive a game becomes, the more toxic the community is. League of Legends, which you named, is a good example of that extreme. Elysium is more on the LoL side of things, but parts of the community are still friendly. Just avoid raiding and PvP, if you want to be sure to minimize the amount of assholes ;)
  15. My philosophy is the following. For dungeons: +heal > spirit > mp/5, because you have a lot of time out of 5 sec rule with full regen and spirit ist cheaper and more common regarding item budget. I advice to use Regrowth and Rejuvenation to stay out of the 5 sec rule as long as possible. For raids: +heal > mp/5 > spirit, because you will most likely spam Healing Touch rank 4 (or 5-6, depending on your +heal) and stay out of full spirit regen most of the time. The talent "Inspiration" and T2 3-piece setbonus make spirit better, but you do not go for spirit, you just take the spirit on T1/T2 and other pieces and enjoy it, without stacking it. +heal is the preferable stat in any situation. It allows you to downrank, which saves a lot of mana (you could translate the difference of rank 4 and rank 6 Healing Touch in a huge amount of mp/5!) and it increases your output at the same time, which is especially great for your HoTs and their utility in protecting the tank, when healers are disabled (fear, counterspell, etc.). +heal also shines, because bossfights last only 2-3 mins in most cases. 10 mp/5 translates into 360 mana in a 3 min boss fight, but +heal will increase your output and flexibility, which is far more important in the end.

  17. Is Major Troll's Blood Potion worth the mats? Is it useful for a tank? Or do you even use it on non-tank characters? I am not really convinced that 8 hp every 2 seconds is worth the mats. As a tank, I am either at 100% or target of overheal. I doubt that the 8 hp make any difference. And for farming, this Potion is just too expensive and not necessary. Some later raid bosses deal constant AoE damage, maybe there? Or do you have more ideas and arguments for me? :)

    Yeah. Just to be clear, thank you for your video! Its always a delight to see the game from other peoples' perspectives. And as long as a boss dies... who cares about the dps :D And to be honest: A prot paladin successfully tanking Hakkar is much more impressive than just another trivial Thunderfury warrior ;)

    Mind Control on therebirth was actually working: You attacked teammembers and used spells/cooldowns. Anathema Hakkar is not that impressive tbh. #notamused

    I tried to reproduce that on Darrowshire and was successful. But to be honest, I think the hassle is not worth it. I suspect that this can lead to a loss of single auto attacks. It is also a little bit silly and looks... wrong, to fight that way ^^

People who argue that it should never be fixed do not see the greater picture: This project preserves classic WoW and all its facets - including "bad" and "useless" game mechanics. They teach players and game designers the mistakes of the past and sometimes they are also part of the magic of the game (think of borderline niche skills like Sentry Totem). ;)

    It should be reconstructed some day for the sake of preservation. But the priority should not be of any importance, I agree your explanation regarding the uselessness of the meeting stones' functionality.
