    And it is more impactful if someone leaves the group during a dungeon, because it is more complicated to bring a replacement player to the dungeon. Think about Uldaman, where your would have to help that person to come to the instance portal....

    Hardcore gaming on an emulation? Is that even possible? Bosses sometimes bug and don't use their skills often enough (or at all... happened just last MC at Lucifron -.-). The game offers nothing for pioneers (which is one important aspect of playing hardcore in a MMORPG), everything is well known for over ten years (which is an absurdly long time frame in the age of internet). and so on... Do you really think it is worth to divide the Elysium project into hardcore players and casuals? I think that is disgusting. And even if we work with these terms... By todays standards, self-declared hardcoreplayers are just raidloggers most of time and demand new content like they are paying customers. Pathetic!

    I share your desire to punish whiners and people who demand flasks and high level consumeables as their "right". I also share your opinion that raiding should not mean that you always use all consumeables. Even speed runs should be something special and not mandatory for everyone as a goal to achieve. All that increases the problem of elixir/flask/buff-food even more. But... Spawning rates were just too low for the population. Anathema/Elysium still have a very high population. Just think about this example: On my shitty German retail realms, you see 20-50 people online at 04:00 in the night (and 2000-3000 during the evening). On Anathema/Elysium you ALWAYS have hundreds of people online, including people who farm herb nodes. There are so many other factors that are different and lead to the decision of the Elysium staff and ultimately, I think it is a good decision. I hope it makes the experience of people on these servers more enjoyable. Worst case, they could just revert the change at some point if needed, or make further adjustments. Some custom changes are just the way they are and maybe for the better. For example the international community is a huge advantage in my opinion. Playing on retail today is kind of boring, regardless of my German or a British realm (which I tried, too)... And if higher herb node spawn rates are necessary, well, then I am ok with that ;) I truly think this is not a "the staff listens to the cry babies"-thing. They just improve the game experience for everyone...

    Such a Diablo II system would be interesting for the time when Anathema and Elysium (and Zeth'Kur) finished their progression and not before of course. But it would give the project a system that can stay for decades, without the need to delve into TBC. The thing is: TBC is a huge increase in expense regarding developement work. It also divides the community of this project, depending on the implementation. And personally, I think Elysium should focus on what they are best at: Providing a blizzlike classic WoW experience. I also agree with the other posters. The drama is over and this project is in a great shape. Going open source is a huge boon for the whole classic community and ensures that the project developes into a long-lasting plattform for classic WoW developement. Sure, population is still decreasing. But I don't see the correlation between drama and population. That was the case at some point but now people are just leaving the hype train, enjoy spring, play BOTW, play other games, etc... The big influx of players came during the Nostalrius relaunch and the interest was created before by press and media during their fight against Blizzard after their shutdown. Some people will return when AQ is opened but these raidloggers will disappear again when AQ is out for many months. Same for Naxx. My Diablo II system suggestion would provide a plattform for people to compete again and again for fastest kills and progression. I read that speedruns are a thing, why not seasons of progression for the Elysium project, too ;)

    I would like a Diablo II system. 1 "nonladder" realm (for example Anathema) and 1 "ladder" realm (for example Elysium). The nonladder realm does not progress and just stays at the final content patch. The ladder realm progresses through all patches of Elysiums timeline until it stayed ~6 months in 1.11 and then merges with the nonladder realm. A new ladder realm can start then and repeat the progress. That way you could establish seasons of progress for vanilla WoW, so that people could always join and experience the vanilla progress timeline. It would limit the servers and people could keep their stuff on the nonladder realm.

    It should not be bugged. Prowl reduces your movement speed by 40/35/30%(depeding on your rank) and Dash increases your movement speed by 40%/60% (depending on your rank). For example, if you are level 26, your speed is decreased by 40% during Prowl and then increased by 40% during Dash, resulting in almost normal movement speed during Prowl. WIth level 60, you will be able to Prowl with 30% movement penalty and increase speed by 60% during Dash, which makes a bigger difference that is quite noticable.

    I did the dungeonset quest back in the days and bought 2 flasks of the titans for around 30 gold per flask and gave them to the tanks for Lord Valthalakk. I have always been a casual and still it was no problem to just get some flasks for a reasonable price on that shitty rp-pvp realm. It is a difference that the strength of flasks is common knowledge now and e-penismeters amplify that difference to the past. I am not entirely sure but I guess the situation on Elysium/Anathema was out of control and a fix is reasonable. But I also hope that the paradigm of consumeables and raidings shifts and that people calm down regarding dps numbers and time counters. Not every single person who enters a raid must follow the philosophy of elitist jerks.

    I tested it with friends (who walked out, blinked out, charged out etc.) and it did not cancel anymore. Same for dungeon runs as healer... Can you please explain in detail when exactly it cancels? Or which bug do you mean?

  12. Shadowcraft is a solid set of gear for a generalist approach. I tanked with that set any dungeon and even MC and the setbonus is an enjoyable element in cat dps rotation. The shitload of spirit is nice for farming. Of course, if you want to min max your druid for one specific role, there are better items for cat/bear/farming. I count the days until Dungeonset 2 is released :D
  13. Thank you for the Q&A. I am looking forward to reading more Q&A in the next weeks! Regarding Darrowshire: It's a very healthy server and one of the few PvE vanilla realms out there. It comes very close to the experience on retail vanilla WoW and even has some bonus like a community with many cultural facets. There is no need to merge it with any of the PvP realms and people who insult Darrowshire should shut the fuck up :)
  14. Not every server in retail was populated "high". That's why I wrote "average retail vanilla realm". Some people like me even picked "low" populated realms in vanilla for good reasons. The high population does not only come with advantages. You should get used to that reality :D Seriously, Zeth'Kur! Herb paradise :)
  15. I get 5 Elixir of the Mongoose for 12,50 gold on Darrowshire Horde. *Nelson ha ha* Anathema is around 2,5 times the population of an average retail vanilla realm. It is quite schizophrenic to call it a low population realm but complain about herb prices at the same time. ^^

    Yeah maybe wowwiki was just plain wrong, I never tried to find better sources, just wanted to share that. To be honest the difference between 80% and 100% scaling would not be that much of an impact anyway. And it's a conflict of interest, too... Why should I fight for weaker spells for myself xD But it is still suspicious... Especially Regrowth. These combination spells work very unique in the way they scale and 100% HoT scaling is quite unlikely to be blizzlike. But again, I am not in the mood to dig deeper into that ^^

    That reminds me that Regrowth and Rejuvenation coefficents are suspiciously high. As far as I am concerned, Rejuvenation scales to 100% with +heal, but it should only scale to 80% with +heal. Regrowth is even worse, the HoT alone scales to 100% with +heal, but should only scale to 70% with +heal.     Just as a side note for silent readers: There are several versions of Prowler out there. Some versions pack Prowler, IsMounted and DeShift together, but only Prowler and IsMounted are necessary together due to dependencies in Prowler 1.7c. I also want to point out that Prowler must be activated in the menu you reach with /prowler, make sure that "Prowler enabled" is green and not red. Yes, it took me 10 minutes of wasted time to figure that out! xD

    Druid T2 3-piece-bonus (15% additional infight reg inside 5 sec rule) plays an important part for Rank 3/4 Healing Touch being viable. Full T3 will catapult you into other regions, though. That will enable our own Paladin-esque spam mode! Stacking +heal is one thing, but if you don't hit critical mass, then it is still more efficient to use higher ranks and regrowth/rejuvenation to increase the duration in which you can stay outside the 5 sec rule for full spirit regeneration. I also want to point out, that it depends highly on the encounter, if low rank HT spam with Moonglow spec is the "highest possible output". Imagine bosses with steady income of damage - if you skilled Rejuvenation, then you can do quite a lot of healing by just spamming it on your raid members. There are of course many other situations, in which HT is not the only spell you use... Bosses with Silence or Counterspell, bosses that need a lot of movement, and so on :)

    Prowling has it's own action bar in the standard user interface. Edit: I am wrong of course, did not understand that the OP means Prowl and not Cat Form. Sorry ;)
