The amount of vitriol in this thread lol. I guess the frustration of not getting to play has finally come out in one of these threads. One thing is how can you even reliably rate a server in its first two weeks of release?

On their twitter they said they will release an official statement of what happened. Also they stated that as of yesterday any attempt at logins will return a bad password. Nothing about data leaked or account details, if it was something like that the server wouldn't be shut down for 24 hours especially since the people probably affected would be the non 2 step authentication users and not everyone. Not to mention something like that they would of jumped on it and told everyone to change their passwords and to really use the 2 step.

I don't think server firsts were the goal but all valid points. Time is subjective, so for that person to re-roll it is a big deal. While to some it isn't they can just drop a level 30 on vanilla and level another on a different server. All I can say is that because of the super high pop on elysium it will take substantially longer to level than it will on Zeth. Less people means less time spent waiting be it in queue or waiting for spawns. A normal stable private server with a very healthy pop is around 1500. Might not seem like a lot but majority of private servers out there have just a fraction of what Zeth has and they do just fine.

Yes but at first it worked out, server was more stable things were great then the money got to them. My brother was a gm with them started about a month or two before AQ was released. After seeing what they had to do and the internal bickering and politics the quality went way way down. A couple higher ups pretty much catered to the high end donors with supplied raid stuffs like food, flasks, pots and scrolls or even certain pieces of gear.

For sure, taking me forever to level because of that. Get home all hyped to play bam queue for 2 hours. While waiting get invested in something else and end up only playing for bit lol.

There is really not much more they can do other than open transfers and as you said make a server message, but the servers are pretty much as close to what the pop will be for both. You have to take into consideration on how the vanilla code works. Blizzard had a ton of servers so they designed the game to have a finite amount of people on each server. Adding more and more people to a server starts creating problems such as mob spawns, loot issues, crashing. All I can say is give it time, I know people want to play without queues right now but something like this just takes time to even out.

This is correct. Every single private server that has had at least some hype to it was like this in its first month or so. With vanilla you will see a decent drop in pop once the nostalgia affect goes away. give it some time the servers will even out. From the looks of how they responded it doesn't look like Elysium is going anywhere. The main issue will be to keep the servers up and how donating will come into effect.

I wouldn't bet on a server transfer coming any time soon. They just closed one and now they are going to be swapping cores, from the posts it looks like most of it was already designed to be moved over or at least I hope I am inferring correctly. The queue should sort itself out in about a month. I remember when Feenix just came out with their new tbc server and when warsong got really popular, it took about a month for that to cool off. The same goes for molten back before the whole melt down.

Yes, go to the home page left hand side click on realm status. That will give you an approximate to pop and realm balance.

In another thread someone else had the same issue. Try disabling your adapter and re-enabling be it Ethernet or WiFi adapter. This should reset your outgoing ping to the server when you try again.

Good advice from all ends. Only thing I can say is if you haven't played vanilla, classes are a lot different. In the end play what you enjoy, doesn't matter the server if you are good and can show that you are good there will always be a spot to raid or pvp.

Just keep trying and reboot client. I tried like 10 times and it finally went through. As far as I know there isn't a fix for this authenticate issue. I am at 5k right now been waiting for around 20 minutes. Most likely the authenticate server just can't handle the amount of people so it is just kicking until you get that lucky spot.

Slippery slope once you publicly start accepting money. I would love that feature but after seeing how money and private servers usually devolves into buying gear I myself am not a fan of that. Not to mention seeing how money totally screwed over Feenix and their leadership. Or Molten and that fiasco I don't believe it is a good idea.
