This happened to me except they just took my gold and left my items for some reason. I also have never played on another private server. From what I've read, they will not restore your items or gold. Make sure you change your password and enable two-factor authentication. Just a warning though: while you were hacked, they most likely used your character to spam gold advertisements to people. It's what happened when I was hacked and as a result, my account was banned. I wasn't banned on the same day either--it happened four days later, after I changed my password and enabled two-factor authentication. Guess it just took them a while to get around to it. Hopefully it doesn't happen to you, but my advice would be to forget about your items and gold and just hope your account doesn't get banned. If it does, expect to wait a minimum of two and half days for a resolution because that's how long I've currently been waiting. Sorry to be a bummer, but I just wanted to let you know what could potentially happen from someone in a similar situation. Good luck.

I'm in the same boat. I was hacked on Monday, changed my password and enabled two-factor authentication that same day and have been playing fine until today. Tried to log on this evening and saw that I've been banned. I think all we can do is post in the ban appeal forum and wait. I wouldn't get your hopes up from what I've read on these forums, though. Sounds like we're SOL. It's too bad they didn't have two-factor authentication from the start...

This happened to me yesterday and, unfortunately, it looks all the people this happened to were hacked. I was at work when my buddy saw that I was online. When he whispered me, they replied with a gold selling website and then he was ignored. My friend took a picture and texted me showing that my account was hacked. I immediately changed my password and set up two-factor authentication. Like everyone else, all they took was my gold and left the silver and copper. I think they're lazy and just take your gold and spam everyone with their website. They don't go through the trouble of emptying your bags/bank or selling your equipped gear. Also like most everyone else, this was a new account which I've never used on any other website/server. My suspicion is that the Elysium accounts were hacked and they don't want to admit it, but who knows. It seems like we're just out of luck for the stolen gold, so we should be thankful our gear wasn't sold or our accounts banned (which apparently happens with not much you can do about it). I do think it's a larger issue that should be addressed, and they should do more to let people know that two-factor authentication is now a possibility.
