  1. Even though you intended this is a pejorative (trying to project your own ego into general insult to people who don't stay), your first sentence was correct. I haven't played in a couple months because Vanilla itself isn't that exciting. It isn't that I have any love of retail (it's pretty awful--worse than Vanilla), so I don't play there either. The problem with Vanilla servers is that they aren't BC/Wrath. There's a good reason the game peaked so hard during those expansions, and never again. They fixed a lot of the problems Vanilla had, introduced more content, better itemization, QoL changes/fixes, continued the beloved story of Warcraft itself, etc. Vanilla feels like a Beta version of WoW, and always did.
  2. There's almost zero danger in doing just that, unless you're on PvP and worried about getting ganked, but any sort of guide that suggests a route is likely to be poached by people who watch it on the other side.
  3. When you install WoW in retail, they put the ToS before the login screen, require you to scroll down and click the Agree button, and that is an affirmative notice--therefore enforceable. However, the point I would make is that playing on a private server only violates your retail account's license, and they would struggle to target specific players with copyright suits since they are only using the software, and not actually distributing/selling it (where copyright is most enforceable). There are arguments to be made for both sides, but as long as you don't post your private server activities anywhere that people can connect them to your retail account, it would be beyond unreasonable for them to try to action player accounts instead of simply attacking the servers themselves. Aside from the "letter of the law," and assuming Blizzard could even win that argument, there's also the issue of enforcement. You can't bleed a turnip, and most players wouldn't be able to compensate Blizzard for the court costs--not worth their time or money to pursue with such a high chance of negative return, and that's also to say nothing of the damage it could cause to their public perception (who knows the actual costs that could have?).
  4. This is entirely unnecessary. Just follow the path and walk around anything that is Horde flagged (a level 14 thing near UC). It's really not that hard.
  5. Depends on the raid, but sometimes they can have up to 4 prot Wars. Still, saying a good tank will have trouble finding a raid spot is laughable. There are ALWAYS people looking for raid quality tanks. To answer the OP's question about which classes are needed: Prot Warriors. More than anything else. Healers always needed too, and dps are a dime a dozen.

    Password Reset

I went to control panel on the home site, it sends me the reset email, and that directs me back to the control panel telling me to send a request email... infinite loop. I tried the command in game, but it doesn't recognize my old password (even though I know 100% that it's correct, because that's how I log in). If there's going to be all this in-game spam to change the password, it might help to make sure people actually can.

    Password Reset

    I'll try that, thanks.
  8. The .wr command is really not needed anymore, imo. -Spam Throttle takes care of whispers and you can set up your own filters for added functionality. -CT_MailMod fixes the mail spam. You will still have the "you have mail" icon on your minimap all the time, but when you open it you will only see mail that has attachments--the only mail most of us actually care about. I hope people adopt this addon, or those similar, so we can be rid of the .wr plague on the server that interferes with legitimate whispers. I can't tell you how many people have missed out on groups and stuff because I couldn't whisper them.
  9. You still can't, but bots found a way I guess.
  10. Whisper Restriction is bad for other reasons though.

    Server Integrity?????

+1, Alle, but sometimes things like this are just hard to foresee when there's so much on their plate at once. As long as they are making efforts to correct it--and I believe they are--there shouldn't be any long-term problems.

    Server Integrity?????

It's simple. You have something to say, do it here.

    Server Integrity?????

I have no intention of using PMs either. Haven't you noticed how those go directly into the trash without response?

    Server Integrity?????

You still don't get it. I don't care what you have to say. I don't use Discord, and none of that has any bearing on this thread. You're being retarded.

    Server Integrity?????

    Yup. Cowering. Obviously.

    Server Integrity?????

Yeah, because I really want to hear your nonsense over a mic. Nice logic. Especially when it has nothing to do with anything, as I pointed out already. I have to admit, that's a brand new kind of "special."

    Server Integrity?????

Thanks for proving you have nothing and that this thread is pointless then. =)

    Server Integrity?????

Same boring tactic again. You truly lack creativity.

    Server Integrity?????

How would Discord change my anonymity? You might want to revise your thinking on that one.

    Server Integrity?????

You will be for a long time if you don't understand how "no" means no. More attempts at triggering nonsense. That's cute. How'd that work for you the last 6 times?

    Server Integrity?????

Let's be clear about one thing: This thread only existed to attack the devs. Despite his protestations to the contrary, it's really easy for anyone to see just by the tone and wording of the title and OP. It's not trolling to call it for what it is, but I do enjoy destroying these kinds of toxic threads that serve no purpose. Also, I don't use Discord, so you can give up on that nonsense; it doesn't have anything to do with this anyway.
